Banjo-Kazooie has a quiz at the end that you only need to do about a third of the spaces to complete, but that's boring so I'm going to try and complete them all in one go. #banjokazooie
my friend knows the answer to basically every question in the second games quiz, so he buzzes in before its even done appearing, and gets it right when we do multiplayer. kinda bs lol
Hearing the snipping noises and going "oh, yeah that's the hermit crab it has to be" then watching you pick the crocodile was possibly one of THE most painful things I've watched a youtuber do. Nice job!
Theres 10 Brentilda locations: 1. Near Treasure Trove Cove puzzle 2. Near Click Clock Wood puzzle 3. On pipes near Clankers Cavern entrance 4. Behind Grunty statue 5. In pipe near Bubblegloop Swamp entrance 6. Behind Gobi's Valley entrance 7. On top of Grunty's giant head 8. In the lava room near Cheato entrance 9. Behind a gravestone near Mad Monster Mansion entrance 10. Near Click Clock Wood entrance
I was never able to finish this game on my N64 because I was around 10 years old and didn't know any English. Eventually, I managed to complete it recently on the Xbox 360 version, but I always forget to buy adapters to connect my N64 to my TV XD
I couldn't beat this game when I was 11... back in 1998 when this game was released and English is my first language! 😂 Gotta be honest, even as a kid there was only so much backtracking I was willing to put up with and if the game was overloaded with cotchkies-- er, "collectibles" and a veritable shit ton to do, I just mentally checked out because it was so overwhelming for me! It's great for other gamers that love having one-shitsquillion things to do in videogames and find enjoyment in that, but that's just not me. I like a more streamlined affair where I can work towards a goal and have a few things to do on the side if I get bored with the main storyline, but Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, DK64, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Super Mario Sunshine and even DKC3 just stress me out! 😅
I remember playing this as a 9-10 year old, and since I’m not from an English speaking country, my older brother had to translate, while stressing with the timer😅
This was a really fun watch! Thanks for taking the time to complete the challenge and recording and uploading it. I think I will do another run of Banjo-Kazooie now.
I'd say it's best to prioritize health over gold feathers. When doing the Gobi's Valley puzzle, it's best to kill the Mum-mum if you are not in full health to get a honeycomb piece instead of using any of the ones on the board. Gold feathers are not that critical to use against bosses. The Boom Box Boss can be killed with any other attacks, although it will take longer, but definitely possible. Killing the Mum-mum uses barely 1 gold feather, and you already proven you can beat the Zubbas without using them.
The locations of Brentilda are unchanged each time you do A new game. It's usually the questions that Gruntilda asks you on her squares that are potentially changed
Omg i did the same thing hahahah I replayed it last week on switch n64 simulatore and wrothe all brenthilda answers on a paper AND i clipped all conversation with her Ps. I obviously did all questions
@@lovegalaxyfn I did that too 😂 Same with the clafairy mini game for pokemon stadium 😂😂😂 I wrote down all the ocarina songs in OOT and MM because I hated opening the start menu then forgetting halfway through
I tried this, its not too hard actually. Just route your way to all of the Joker Spaces and use them to skip the Grunty Spaces, then you'll only have like one or two Grunty spaces to guess plus the skull spaces,
Is it really true that Gruntilda's secrets change? Does this affect the scores among each other? In Banjo Tooie there are minimal differences between the saves.
Yeah, unfortunately Gruntys secrets change each time you start a new game. Someone made a mod that calculates what the correct answer will mostly be for her secrets
i played this game since i was very little and around 9 to 10 years old i beat the game over and over again and again somehow it never got boring playing the same levels collecting the same stuff over and over again on the n64
For some reason I remember first door being 60 pre-CZcams. I might be thinking first Jamjars ability. Would writing C for Cyan and V for Violet or L for Lavender work? I was hoping the final question was "This lovely voice". Guess I misremembered the adjective.
Imaginate que es 2005 y tener como 6 años y jugar esta trivia de la grunty en inglés, y no tener ni puta idea de qué es lo que estás colocando 😂😂 aún así lo logré
To be more precise there are exactly 256 combinations of answers because the seed is only 1 byte: 00 to FF. If every combination of answers was possible it would be 3^30 (or 205.9 trillion) possible answer combinations. Since this means most combinations of answers aren't actually possible you can usually pinpoint the exact combination you have with around 5 answers. i.e. 256 / 3^5 ≈ 1
I was excited at the concept of this challenge so I did a run of the game planning to do this. Somehow, I managed to succeed with the quiz and clear every tile on my first attempt. I know the game all by heart so it wasn't that hard. I also didn't write down the Grunty trivia, and just remembered them. The timed challenge spaces almost got me, but only because the Tiptup choir was so difficult. It got to a point where I just chose to wait and fail when that challenge came up if I didn't remember the answer, instead of push my luck and guess. I had to make use of the honeycombs on the board to recover, because I encountered that challenge far more than expected. The icing on the cake, I almost lost on an instant death space near the end. I got the answer right on a lucky guess with only one second left. Talk about tension!
The grunty questions is NOT to be memorized. Specially because they change for every new game randomly. They are literally RNG based and you NEED to write them down. Edit: Btw, each brentilda has not one, not two, but THREE grunty facts. He probably only talked to her once or twice each time
I’m glad I’m not the only goof that voluntarily completed EVERY space in Furnace Fun.
I kinda LOVE this game to an unhealthy degree.~
Same here! Took me 4 tries though, lots of stupid grunty questions on the death spaces!

There are 94 squares exactly. It's one of the questions that Gruntilda asks you on the Banjo Kazooie spaces

yes. Each answer is RNG for each game. And each Brentilda has 3 Grunty facts.
2:04 “it’s always gold with these pirates” lol so true
54:18~54:24 They seriously put that first answer in an E-Rated game?!
Should of done it with no extra honeycombs. It really is tough if you cannot memorize certain things about Gruntilda or the game itself.

speedrunners tend to use a calculator to determine answers to grunty questions, as some random answers are more likely with others
