Mike is so DOWN for Mel B 😂❤
lol
Lmaoo he def down he referred to her as Sexy spice the other video 😂😂
Can you blame him?
Who wouldn’t be 😭🫦
He's down with the swirl fo' sho. Naomi Campbell, Mariah Carey, Mel B, etc.
I freaking love the Spice Girls! I remember making my Dad take me and my brothers to see Spice World in movie theaters. 😂😂😂
Terrible movie!
This group was so versatile! All kind of rhythms fit well for them ❤
"Stop", "Holler" and "Too Much" better be on this list!!! And the 2012 Olympics Performance!
They will get a week 2 soon.
Likely wanna be and spice up your life on this list, unless week 2. Goodbye is my fave spice girls ballad, also mama, so hopefully week 2 with holler too
If you watch only one live performance of the Spice Girls, you must watch them perform this song (Who Do You Think You Are) at the 1997 Brit Awards. One of their most iconic moments in their career.
Scary spice was literally the first person I’d ever seen with a tongue ring! Kids on the school bus had a magazine and she was in it, tongue sticking out with the metal. My chemistry was never the same.
I'm loving watching these Spice Girls videos. Nostaligia baby ❤
That song Joe refered to was Move Your Feet by the danish group Junior Senior and its from the early 2000s. 😆
Mel B also made that fit look amazing. She had tongue, eyebrow, bellybutton. Possibly nipples. Janet Jackson has hers done.
Each had there own style and name. It's what made them popular
Ring my bell came out in 1979 and it's by Anita Ward and the other one is Move your body - by Junior Senior and it came out in 2002
Dang! We were way off!
Europe in the 90's went disco mad. Anything disco inspired became a big hit!
Look up the following:
*Stretch & Verne - "Im Alive".
*N-Trance - "Stayin Alive"
*The Bucketheads - "These Sounds (fall into my mind)".
*S Club 7 - "Dont Stop Movin'"
*Blockster - "You Should Be".
Etc etc. There are too many to list. These are the first few that came to mind.
S Club 7’s was from the 00’s
@@buffyrules4ever sorry yes, my mistake. I was just thinking of them as a band when I added that song to the list as they started out in 1998. Still, close enough to the 90's :)
Tongue rings were big in the 90's and early 2000's
My fave Spice Girls song! Mike was LIVING! 😊Get it sir! Down with the swirl I see. Can't blame u. Mel B was THAT girl! 🇬🇧💿
There's actualy three versions of this video. This one, the director's cut (with more shots of the other characters/ dancers) and the best one with the Spice Girls rivals; The Sugar Lumps. You should check it out. ;-) it features comedy geniuses Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders, Kathy Burke (as SPORTY! HILARIOUS), singer LuLu and Lwellela Gideon.
For me was their best song! I was f..ng obsessed
This my jam. Love this song
Baby was my favorite but Scary Spice is the reason I wanted a tongue ring when I was like 9 😂
if Stop and Too Much didn't make the cut I fear we'll be needing a week 2!
every single of theirs is basically a different genre!
wannabe - hip pop
say you'll be there - g funk
2 become 1 - 90s r&b
mama - pop
who do you think you are - disco
spice up your life - salsa
too much - doo wop
stop - motown
viva forever - latin pop
goodbye - pop
let love lead the way - ballad
holler - 00s r&b
I believe the material of clothing is called Vinyl or PVC.
Yeah, those or actual latex. I’m sure it depended on what was available and what they had to do in it.
Two more Spice Girls songs and then you both have to choose your favourite Spice. Them’s the rules! (that I’ve just made up) x
Love singing this 0n kareoke haha l00000ve them for eternity❤❤❤❤❤
You know what will be cool...doing a 1 week from each of spice girls members solo career .
What solo career...
In high school in the 80's I used to open a safety pin and hook the head of it so it looked like it was going through my cheek, and the pin part was just on the inside of my cheek. Lol! My friends freaked out the first time they saw it. I did the same thing when I was teaching 5th grade, and we were supposed to dress up punk rock for say no to drugs week. My students freaked out until I showed them that it wasn't real. 😂😂😂
Only bangers in the building
I remember growing up, we used to call the PVC And Vinyl clothing as space age and futuristic fashion. I remember the 90’s, we always had this fascination with the future. It also reminds me of the Disney movie, Zenon. I think the cocktail dresses were also referred to as maxi dresses and minidresses. My sister was obsessed with those during that era too.
There’s a name for those PVC outfits; Thrush!
Oh I see you, lol. My favorite song, and music video from the Spice Girls!! Thank you so much guys!
The Comic Relief version of this video is so funny, check it out. Dawn French forever.
I don’t know why, but when I watch this music video, with those outfits, I keep thinking 1P and 2P outfits for a fighting game 😂😂😂
Loving this Spice views!! See Viva Forever .. Spice Up Your Life.. Stop .. Holler!
I demand "Stop"!
This was my favourite song by them.
"Ring My Bell" was from 1979, by Anita Ward. From the true disco era. Maybe a cover in the 90s?
I had my tongue pierced when I was 15, back in the early 2000s. 😂 Something I’m realizing as I revisit all these songs again (I was a Spice Girl fanatic from grades 4-7..I even had 3 inch platform sneakers I wore to school every day) is just how great the instrumentals are on these songs. In this list alone, we had the awesome harmonica solo from Say You’ll Be There, the beautiful guitar and cello parts from 2 Become 1, and now this funky ass instrumental. I also remember the gorgeous Spanish guitar on Viva Forever (which I hope is on this list…or perhaps a week two?). It’s just great revisiting these songs as an adult and seeing that not only do they still hold up but they’ve genuinely got some unique and interesting things about them, especially for a mainstream pop girl group.
There's also that song by M People titled "Movin' On Up" which had some disco-esque style of house dance music.
This was such prime girl band pop era the movie the clothes all the merchandise was everywhere i was Scary Spice all day lol
I wish this list would have had Holler
Of all the woman the only one who has a pretty damn great solo career is Melanie Chisholm-Mel C - Sporty Spice. She has an extremely unique voice. Because of that she is the most featured in almost all their songs. Their was no lead but she had the strongest voice and the weakest singing voice is Gerri Hallowell-Ginger Spice.
If your interested off camera look up "NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN" THE FAST VERSION, NOT THE BALLAD. YA JUST WANNA DANCE!
Best spice girls song - Joe clearly was unimpressed 😢
Spice Girls carried the 90s
Tongue rings are one more thing that gen z cannot claim as being originally theirs.
Mel B was kind of the beginning of the tongue ring trend. She kicked off the trend
This songle was released in Europe as double A-side single together with Mama. It didn't get released as a single in the US, where the first three singles were released months later than in Europe, in order not to clash with the release of the second album Spice World.
SPICE UP YOUR LIFE has to be on your list!!
I can't really offer a term for the style you refer to, but there was a bit of a 60's revival in fashion in the late 90's, with strong references to iconic 60's designers like Courrèges, but with more outlandish colours and embellishments. This is seen with a lot of pop acts from the time, but also the likes of Romy and Michelle, The Nanny, etc. - I think the 'plastic' material you refer to on Geri's red outfit is patent leather.
Fashion is usually on a 20/30 year cycle. Kind of like how all Gen Z try to dress 90’s now.
very british style.. people still dress themsevels like that
You need to check out their solo stuff.
spice girls is good for more than just one week :)
the first time i saw a piercing there was on mel b in 1996 ;)
You should watch this live at the brits
The name you're referring to is CAMP!
I hope they watch the movie 🍿
The movie has the club mix of this song💕
please watch "TOO MUCH"!
Yesss, I love Too Much =)
The best girl grup ever
A fierce House track for the gays, henny. Watch Spice World. Still hilarious.
Tongue piercing in the US started in the early 1980s, but it didn't start to become mainstream until the 90s, I believe.
❤❤❤❤
Scary Spice was hot🔥🔥🔥🔥
I hope Spice Up your life is 2 and Wannabe is 1.
Just saw the list. Viva Forever is #2.
We need another Gaga week :( live or music videos :( It's been a while!
How old are these dudes? "Anybody who was alive in this era" ...
They are literally dressed as their stage name.
Um, Joe... Move Your Feet is not a 90s song 😅
☆
Sporty is the one to pay attention to aka Mel C. She's the lead singer/the goat
When and where was there ever a lead singer in the Spice Girls ? 🤔
@@natsohigh5552There is not. But as in most group there is a singer that is clearly better than the others. Destinys Child had Beyonce, Backstreet Boys had Brian Litrell. Spice Girls had Mel C. Her voice really stands out and its clear she gets to sing all the difficult parts.
I wouldn put this song on the list at all... one of the weaker spice girls' songs. Wannabe will be number one, but i also like Too much, Viva forever, Goodbye and Holler.
