A true Alaskan. Calls the highway by its name and not route number. Broken windshield. Brings back memories. I've driven those roads before even into Dawson and always wanted to do that float trip. Great video! Thanks for sharing.

I did that Dawson to Eagle round trip several times on the luxurious Yukon Queen tour boat back in the 90’s. I don’t think it operates anymore however.
I would love to paddle the "entire" yukon river. It would be my ultimate dream trip

@@jaycable9625 Actually, the section I'd like to do next would be Quiet Lake, down the Big Salmon River to the Yukon then taking out at Carmacks or Dawson. I have a kayak you can borrow if you want.

what was the total distance paddled? and how many hours the river total?
Total river distance was 105 miles. The river was running high and faster than normal so we only had about 12 hrs total paddling time. GPS shows we were doing over 15mph several times. A couple friends of mine did it 2 days after us in pack rafts and only took 2 days.

Thanks. it was about a 5 hour drive between Eagle and Dawson, including construction delays and border crossing.
16 out of 24 minutes driving! What a load of crap. Should be called 'Driving to the Yukon'.
You're not wrong. 4 days of driving for 2-1/2 on the river.
