The 3 certainties of life: death, taxes, and people obliterating each other at the first hairpin of any circuit.
Belle Isle is a personal favorite, love seeing this track come up! Best city/street circuit out there imo. Wonder if I'm biased since I live nearby, hmm...
Cleaner racing than what a certain shed-dweller is dealing with on a regular basis nowadays while battling with 'professional racecar drivers'.
(Don't @ me.)
Hey Dave, love the videos mate. I started my iRacing career during the “lockdown” been playing in VR, I’ve learnt a lot from your videos and shaved many seconds off my times! Currently enjoying Division 1 MX-5’s! Bit nervous about stepping up to GT3’s! Keep up the good work bud.
If you can hold your own in the Mazda you'll be fine in the GT3 😁
@@davecamm mazda are terrible to drive. GT3 cars are a lot easier to deal with. Just respect the other races on the track and know your limits and you'll be fine. Welcome to the iracing family!
Great race Dave! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Dave,
JUst recently subscribed! Love the content! I also, love the end part of the videos when you review all the incidents! Really interesting to see how others got on!
Please keep this going!
13:05 was just awesome good job to both of you for keeping it clean
Another good race dave... Well done man!!!
Cracking race great job man!
Loving this vids man!
Surprisingly clean by most!
Best series by far!
Great vid. Definitely the nicest looking car in the grid!!
Top Job Dave! Love the videos, keep it up!
Good race on a tricky track with a difficult car, I enjoyed watching that Dave. Well done 👍🏻💪🏻
Solid race Dave. "Having issues" is an understatement in Porsche at Belle-Isle!
Yeah Dave that lft right transition can be tricky... Caught me out in practice earlier and seen a few others slippy slide there too. Cheers for thr cheer up man. Enjoying your racing
Fancy driving Dave and really good race! 😀👍
Always great races Dave 😁
Again your usual calm and cool race attitude, as you say a little pressure can unsettle even a good driver, seat of the pants circuit is this one eh lol
Oof love watching Belle Isle. I'm sweating just watching lol. Great race as usual!
Amazing race Dave
Nice race mate, loving that paint job on the car aswell
thats why i watching you :-) very nice race .
Nice Davy great video
Might look into iracing
A lot more fun to watch than mine several hours later in the day and a couple splits lower. Started at the back, finishing P7 as well, but only passed a few on track, as all the others all conveniently took themselves out of the game. Slow and steady... (heck, I'm 65, can't see so well, reactions are crap, but I'm having fun! :) ). Your learning the track video helped quite a bit. I used to hate Belle Isle, but once you figure it out it's an enjoyable combo.
Age means nothing if we're having fun 😁
@@davecamm Agreed... though I could do without all the aches and pains. :) Left arm gets really tired at these tracks - tendonitis in the right arm makes it impossible to use the flappy paddles, so I drive left handed on tracks like this and the right is mostly on the lever for the sequential shifter.
Great vid again Dave! Been hoping you would race this! This is my first week at class c so this has been a tough course to learn the car on!
FINALLY! used your tactic of starting from the back and got 7th with 2 incident points! However much slower than you haha
great vid Dave
Marvin hit the kerbs!
This was a great watch this one Dave 👌🏻😎 Again, one I'm avoiding until I get a bit more consistent. Might try my hand at a few Porsche cup races next week
only 20 minutes in but some solid racing so far! good stuff!
One of my fav combo, super challenging but I love it! Already done 11 races there this week so far :)
Yes it's great fun. One tiny mistake and it's all over. I think that's why it's so rewarding 😁
Dave Cam No room for mistake! What a great race Dave, not easy to catch up from the back.
This video really makes me wanna get into sim-racing one day 😀👍
That was intense
Great race Dave, one of my favourites by you I think.
GT3 cup car is a fickle b*tch but can be quite rewarding. I was actually in a practice with you yesterday, maybe prior to this race.
Get in there Dave!
Stumbled across your channel after it was recommend on sim racers uk, watched alot of your vids over the last 72 hours. keep up the good work mate ad hopefully i can get in a race your in soon!!!
Hey Paul, thanks 😁
@@davecamm did you get that dd wheel in the end ive not noticed yet
It's been a long 3 days since the last upload haha, cant wait to watch
I know. Damn work ☹️
This is a tough combo ironically it is actually one I am very good at. Had my best race in a long time yesterday and won a top split race.
I like the daily the daily iracing content
good drive dave :)
Great work Dave.
A few Brown Rimmer Safety Pants moments but that’s racing aye ?
Great race! Great content, keep it coming.
Too bad you missed that second big crash behind you in t3 in lap 1 for the replays after the race.
Walls = 0x on off-tracks. Nice race!
Sof: 400
Dave: this is going to be very hard
1. click the "like" button
2. wishing the best for for you and your dearest for the easter holidays
3. the race will be a cracking one and highly entertaining ;-)
great livery btw
Man you and Thomas had one hell of a race! shame he crashed out
This week was my first Porsche cup race...this track is brutal. Especially in the 991. think I might have picked the wrong week to join haha
If you can get round here, you can do it anywhere 😁
A new sub, enjoying the content.
Any chance your from the North East, iam guessing Durham way?
Yeah not too far away 😁
Originally from Cumbria 👍
Just sat in the Garden in the sunshine and watched this race. Nice one Dave. Not sure if you’ve done this before but I’d be interested in a video which explains who you are, what’s your setup is and how you got started in racing.
Hey Richard. I did a Q&A at 10k subs but may do another if I get to 20k for those that missed it 👍
Dave Cam Yes please. I already have my question for you. How do you convince your other half that spending an inordinate amount of money and time on sim racing is a good idea and not to kick you out when the new rig, widescreen and DD setup arrives....
Hey Dave, love all ur vids.
Question- how do you know what irating you'll inherit before finishing the race? I assume its software but I'm curious which software is giving you that data.
Cheers.
Jerrid Chambers it’s from the kapps extension just search it up on google
Bumpy... I see you’re pretty good at rally racing too lol
Hi Dave. Enjoying the content. Out of curiosity what sort of outlay would a setup like this set me back? I’m thinking PC, wheel/pedal combo and a decent monitor to get started...
Oh jeez, I wouldn't even like to put a figure on my setup as it's evolved over time.
If guess around 800 for a pc, 600 wheel and pedals, 200 monitor and another 300 for a basic cockpit. A couple of grand would kit you out
Not cheap but it's fun. 😁
Dave Cam cheers! Best get saving!
Nice Race Dave, if you dont mind me asking where do you get your setups from? Cheers
Hey bud. I get mine from VRS and pds mainly 👍
Again belle Isle 😁😁
Hey Dave, I'm going to be purchasing some Fanatec gear this month and would love to use your link to kick a few pennies your way. Problem is, I'm in the US and when I use the link it won't allow access to my account as the link seems to be Euro only. Any ideas on how to sort that?
What program are you using for your spotter/engineer, as well as your on screen display? Love the channel!
Hey Trevor. For this video the overlay I'm using is called Kapps. The spotter program is called Crew Chief 👍
@@davecamm Thanks for the quick reply! Cheers 👍🏻
Hello Dave, thanks for your videos. Relative newbie here, promoted to D license last week. Would like to know which category do you consider to move now? I love BMW GTE, but people say that it´s hard to stay alive during 12.0 fixed series.
It's a great stepping stone to IMSA. If you can survive that you'll be fine 😁
Better than me on brakes whatever one is lol
wow even people on the higther levels push two hard on the first lap
when do you do porsche cup? ive started to sneak into top splits and wouldn't mind being on the tele
Hahaha. Might be swerving it this week 😲
what is the app or the top left stats?
That was a good drive Dave, not a fan of this circuit at all, it tends to kill me quickly. Cheers marra.
Hello Dave, what is the software you are using at the top left corner? Thank you.
Hey Brian. This is an overlay called Kapps. I also use one (free) called Racelabapps 👍
Thanks 👍🏻
hi can you send me a link for the setup thank you
What kind of graphics card do I need in order to have my game seem this clear!? I’m playing on a MacBook right now, but then have the picture extended to a 24 in monitor. I’m currently waiting on my Thrustmaster force feedback steering wheel and am looking for suggestions as to how to go about getting my graphics to look this clear. My current license is Class D for Road and Oval. Also, go Dave!
You don't need to spend a huge amount on a gpu to make iracing look nice in a single monitor. My son has a 1050ti and it looks great 😁
You're going to be hard-pressed to get decent performance in any game, using almost any MacBook variant. They almost all use integrated graphics cards which barely cut it, and even the ones with dedicated (discrete) cards don't include very powerful ones.
Depending on your model, you may want to consider an external Thunderbolt GPU enclosure. This would allow you to purchase a strong, dedicated GPU and attach it to your MacBook, saving you the cost of purchasing an entire new machine.
Err, fuel tank on 911's is at the front Dave.. that' why u click down on bias or not?
Yep, you're right. I meant front 😁
Dave would you do a SFR race someday for us to enjoy?
SFR?
@@davecamm Sorry mistyped that the SRF (Spec Racer Ford) a lot of people seem to not be able to control that car.
I'd like to give it a go, and I actually promised a friend I would do it. The SRF community is very friendly too 😁
yeah, this track is a crash fest at the best of times, recently done the BMW GTE there. I actually preferred it in the Porsch, but very difficult.
Лее красаучик дэйв жиесть я по городу на приоре также рассекаю
i always watch your races like your comments my name on iracing Carlos Passos 25590 thanks
Detroit is total garbage of a track!
