- Paul Rodriguez secret to ledge tricks is a practice technique. Paul Rodriguez says you don't have a trick unless you can pop in and pop out wherever you want on the ledge. Paul Rodriguez methodical approach emphasizes total control of your skateboard. Paul Rodriguez and other very talented skaters set such high standards for themselves they want to understand the trick entirely. I try Paul Rodriguez secret to ledge tricks in this video to try and step up my ledge game like Paul Rodriguez. Shout out to Paul Rodriguez for being such an inspiration to everyone!
It helped me to incorporate a gym mentality to my skateboarding. Sets and reps, and remembering that the work out I do today will not show results today, it will show results tomorrow. So as crappy as I skate today I put it in my head I’ll be better tomorrow, same idea works w guitar playing.
I like to do this when I'm just skating by myself, however if I get too caught up in it I start to lose the fun, so it's good to just let it go sometimes and jam (both skate and guitar haha) 🤷👍👍
No lie You hellping alot of people progress faster with you sharing these tips for tricks. Myself included im gonna add this ledge regimen to my sesh im sure on behalf of everyone we appreciate it as well as your demonstrations
Glad it helps people! Thanks for saying that!
That’s a fact. It’s one thing to do what a trick tip or tutorial says, but understanding the “why” and the mentality needed to do some of this stuff has helped me progress quicker than ever
@@localjoe Yeah, this just the reality of skate progression. Finding a tip, or making a discovery yourself and spending a couple sessions focusing on that.
Love seeing the bails and the struggle, makes it more real.
Yeah think I’ll start adding more bails particularly if a trick was a battle
I enjoy seeing the fight for the trick, keeps me motivated when I struggle with the same thing.
the key to learn any difficulty slides/grinds. just slide at low speed until you stop, try to keep standing on the board. if you didn't fall or jumped away that's it
That was a sick session!! 🔥
so cool to see you progressing so much! those crooks were awrsome
My dude, right on time!! Just landed some pretty good 5050s on a ledge yesterday. Nose/tailslide next
Gotta respect Prod for all he does/has done for skating. Was definitely my inspiration growing up, still inspiring to this day.
Great vid. Motivated me
DO NOT worry about putting the bails in your videos. It shows us how hard you’re working. If we only see successes, it makes it look like everything is easy for you. Nice work!
Putting in bails makes it super authentic and nice to watch keep em in for sure!
Glad you like them!
Loving the videos. Keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
Agreed on the crook fakie being more budget. But it's still a make. I am chuffed with your channel and just what you offer to everyone. I think when seeing the bails it's overall refreshing, maybe some for the early out if you don't get in it's not needed as much but it also shows just how much of a mission it is. Love the work and the videos keep them coming and I am sure you'll have more than just me watching ❤
Nice Joe !
Hanging on slides is my weak spot. Next time when I will skate, I'm gonna try every slide and grind full lenght of the ledge and share the effect on my channel, thanks for inspiration Man! Love to watch your channel! 😁👍
CONGRATULATIONS on 10K SUBSCRIBERS brother!
Thanks man!
krook fakie across box many pad gap was awesome! thanks for the tips will diffidently apply it to my skate as i do every lesson you do i love them sk8 and destroy one love jah bliss buget buttery!
Dope video, P Rod one of my all time favorites. I been trying to practice all my flips with this mentality.
Word!
I tried the secret to heel flips earlier and I'm getting more comfortable but they flick a bit fast for me but atleast they help a lot than hangging my toes more thank you
If they flick too fast maybe try putting your foot higher up maybe even cover a couple bolts? Anyways glad it helped a little!
I got a big benefit from the heel flip video as well.
I tried the Ollie than flick thing for kickflips … it really made a difference I felt like I had more control over the flip other than just flipping like uncontrollably… really love and appreciate your content bro 🤝
Great to hear! That really helps my heelflips as well!
Butter. If it looks good, it looks good
NICE VID
nice vid
I still have the prod ledge trick tips on Apple lol so sick
Yip prod the goat
Facts!
Haha factss!!
P rods first trick is supposed to be a switch kickflip to bs smith but he dident lock on quite right so he ended up basically doing a bs lip slide. Still super smooth and tons of style.
destroooooyyyy!
I think for a single session you did a lot. Pushing through the full ledge, no matter what trick always looks much better.
THE CANDLE !
In the next vídeo try to do some treflips in flat!!
I got you!
W Vid
Thanks my g!
When I hear pop out I think of actually popping like you do on flat ground
I would agree, fakie after stopping = budget, but fakie pop out or even just with speed = buttery!
Shane oneil posted a crook to fakie the other day that was popped af... ooff that's some butter!
Anyone know what shoes he’s wearing?
I LOVE THE LOCAL JOE, all the HOMIES LOVE THE LOCAL JOE
Where's this park ? Budget on the krooked
Sooo did the Paul Rodriguez "approach the crook like back 50" help you unlock the crook for you? I'm pretty frustrated with this trick honestly, so so inconsistent. Any more tips to help? I havr Spent hours on them and when I do land them its more of a even to ledge nose grind...not crook. Looks like your getting them pretty good now just a few months later from that video.
Yeah doing it like a back fifty is the key for me. For that long ledge where I need to keep my shoulders straight for so long it felt like I was almost winding up for a back 180. One thing to think about is manny Santiago says to keep your weight inside the ledge. To me it sounds like your weight is going over the ledge too much and you need to keep your body inside the ledge more. I need to make a video about this because it recently clicked for me
@@localjoe Thanks man! I watched your P Rod crook video last night and this popped up this morning. I will be trying to adjust the technique later today. Appreciate the quick response. Keep it up man! Your getting better every video! Plus you putting out some good content too.
Where is this???
I wish i had like just 5% of prod ability lmaoo
Just having fun doing grinds all day
Gotta get those ice baths in for a faster recovery and some wim hof breathing technique to be able to withstand the ice bath, and that with some knees over toes work outs and your progression will stay consistent with more pop in your tricks, you remind me of me always looking for and edge I take it a step further and eat as clean as possible, i fast, and no junk food what so ever I’m a bit obsessive but that’s me anyways I really enjoy the content and in my opinion there’s no need apologies in your videos for the possibility of boredom if we didn’t want to watch you we wouldn’t, look at any successful person there is very little to no apology for anything, to each there own though and keep up the great content
How old are you men...? Your balance is good.
27
Wow... Nice im also 28 and play skate.... But your very nice balance than me.
Congrats dude you worked for that crook
Haha you only saw like 5% of it haha was losing it
no tricks turned out to fakie? was the one over the manny pad on purpose?
Hei joe, why you put korean subtitle in this video? I need the english subtitle. Can you Fix it for me, please?😅
I don't put any subtitle's in that's youtube doing that
Truth is if you’re doing certain tricks on an endless ledge you may just be setting yourself up for unnecessary difficulty. Some tricks were just made for hopping on & off the ends. Think 180 outs the ‘hard way’, or nose blunts.
I just noticed that your teeth are really white. Just wanted to share that. Great videos keep it up!
Never knew Bill Burr skated
Dan coringan would say that come out fakie is not the ideal.. and i agree.. its cause you didn't master the trick yet
Yeah I'll redo it with more speed
pop out early means ollieing out of it not just turning out of the grind. come on bruh i know you can do it!
First
Thanks dude!
@@localjoe bro that crook over the mani pad was sick man👏
@@J0_star thanks man ran out of speed but I’ll get a better ine
Crook to fakie on purpose is ok doing them because you Wher forced to while actually trying to pop out regular 👎🏽
Click baiter
Stop it, you not prod lol why prod is so good is because he’s a Capricorn just like pj Ladd Shane O’Neil and yuto we have and unusual work ethic and we are over achievers and we just naturally progress because we have high level of confidence we’re an earth sign and we’re literally the goat
