  • Paul Rodriguez secret to ledge tricks is a practice technique. Paul Rodriguez says you don't have a trick unless you can pop in and pop out wherever you want on the ledge. Paul Rodriguez methodical approach emphasizes total control of your skateboard. Paul Rodriguez and other very talented skaters set such high standards for themselves they want to understand the trick entirely. I try Paul Rodriguez secret to ledge tricks in this video to try and step up my ledge game like Paul Rodriguez. Shout out to Paul Rodriguez for being such an inspiration to everyone!

    It helped me to incorporate a gym mentality to my skateboarding. Sets and reps, and remembering that the work out I do today will not show results today, it will show results tomorrow. So as crappy as I skate today I put it in my head I’ll be better tomorrow, same idea works w guitar playing.

      @amberruby4896 Před 2 lety +1

      I like to do this when I'm just skating by myself, however if I get too caught up in it I start to lose the fun, so it's good to just let it go sometimes and jam (both skate and guitar haha) 🤷👍👍

      That’s a fact. It’s one thing to do what a trick tip or tutorial says, but understanding the “why” and the mentality needed to do some of this stuff has helped me progress quicker than ever

    the key to learn any difficulty slides/grinds. just slide at low speed until you stop, try to keep standing on the board. if you didn't fall or jumped away that's it

    Agreed on the crook fakie being more budget. But it's still a make. I am chuffed with your channel and just what you offer to everyone. I think when seeing the bails it's overall refreshing, maybe some for the early out if you don't get in it's not needed as much but it also shows just how much of a mission it is. Love the work and the videos keep them coming and I am sure you'll have more than just me watching ❤

    Sooo did the Paul Rodriguez "approach the crook like back 50" help you unlock the crook for you? I'm pretty frustrated with this trick honestly, so so inconsistent. Any more tips to help? I havr Spent hours on them and when I do land them its more of a even to ledge nose grind...not crook. Looks like your getting them pretty good now just a few months later from that video.

    • @localjoe
      @localjoe  Před 2 lety +3

      Yeah doing it like a back fifty is the key for me. For that long ledge where I need to keep my shoulders straight for so long it felt like I was almost winding up for a back 180. One thing to think about is manny Santiago says to keep your weight inside the ledge. To me it sounds like your weight is going over the ledge too much and you need to keep your body inside the ledge more. I need to make a video about this because it recently clicked for me

    Gotta get those ice baths in for a faster recovery and some wim hof breathing technique to be able to withstand the ice bath, and that with some knees over toes work outs and your progression will stay consistent with more pop in your tricks, you remind me of me always looking for and edge I take it a step further and eat as clean as possible, i fast, and no junk food what so ever I’m a bit obsessive but that’s me anyways I really enjoy the content and in my opinion there’s no need apologies in your videos for the possibility of boredom if we didn’t want to watch you we wouldn’t, look at any successful person there is very little to no apology for anything, to each there own though and keep up the great content

    Truth is if you’re doing certain tricks on an endless ledge you may just be setting yourself up for unnecessary difficulty. Some tricks were just made for hopping on & off the ends. Think 180 outs the ‘hard way’, or nose blunts.
