The downhill left at 2:44 usually has gravel on it so beware. Please keep in mind that people (including myself) use this stretch of road in their daily business, and while many drivers have adapted to hearing tire squeal on every corner, there are older folks in the area who drive very slowly on the curvy stretches, especially downhill. If you drive this stretch (West from Mountain City) in a spirited manner, DO NOT cross the center line of the road at any time. There is no time for another driver to react and there is nowhere to go (but down fast) if an emergency maneuver is necessary. See you out there and be safe, it is an awesome and beautiful stretch of road.
Thanks for the feedback. We run here often. as it's local. We (my group of friends and I) don't cross the center line, and always back off a little bit for other traffic.
Haha! I have another short video loading, now. Hoping to get some content in cooperation with some friends in the coming year. More cars more activity.
@@GazornanDSR Interesting, for some reason i expected you to be running some big sway bars. Any reason you run your particular setup? Is it just a matter of best feel or do you think it provides the most effiecent setup for going fast?
@@jacobsidorov This is a hillclimb and touge setup. I can run more front bar on track, but this is the fastest hillclimb setup due to the crown/camber of the pavement of the roads we run. With the Racing Beat front bar, it often holds the front tire off the ground, and causes front brake lock and drags the tire. The rear bar was small when matched to the RB front bar, and is non-existent to balance the NB front bar. The car is well balanced, and has more grip in and out of slow corners, and allows the suspension to work completely in this environment.
@@GazornanDSR Ah okay. I was familiar with people using that setup for autoX but I didn’t realize it translated well into hill climb setups. If you don’t mind me asking, what spring rates are you running? I just ordered a set of Flyin miata sway bars but now i’m realizing i probably didn’t need them lol. I’m also looking into getting better coilovers and am curious about what you think is a good spring rate for this type of driving.

@@GazornanDSR I see that. I might join you in a few months.
Glad I found your channel, absolutely whipping that Miata. Hopefully one day I'll be able to get my AW11 out to that side of the state.
Hope you make it. Love AW11s. Don't see many.
Damn, I miss your videos! :)

Which coilovers and sway bars are you running?
Xida coilovers, NB front bar, no rear bar.

Stock bottom end?
No.
Hmmm, and I thought I was fast on 421
I don't doubt that you are.
I’m pretty sure you would drop me. Nice driving.
