    I live in Virginia and I wish I live over the east where the Muslims live. Yes it's not easy wearing hijabs sometimes, I been criticised and been attack. But I don't care what people think because I love Allah and I worshipped Allah and put Allah first. I believe and submit to Allah, so it doesn't bother me anymore what people think.

    A hijab stab is a form of micro aggression often experienced by non Muslims when approached by someone wearing various forms of Islamic dress. Yasmine Mohammed wrote the following in an article that appeared in the Toronto Sun, "At home I was taught that good, pure, clean girls wore hijab and filthy, loose, despicable girls did not," That sentence explains the hijab stab. A young woman approaching a hijabi wearing woman on the street knows how she is being viewed by that woman. She experiences a hijab stab. A homosexual approaching a woman wearing a burka knows that the burka wearing woman believes that he should be put to death for his lifestyle. He experiences a hijab stab. A dog owner walking his dog through a park in which there are many people in Islamic dress knows that many Muslims consider dogs filthy. He may experience a hijab stab.

      Following islam is a choice, so if you follow the words of the creator you trust him and accept the obligation wich is good for us. We doing it for our creator and not for the people, and many Muslims still don't wear them because of society. And Allah doesn't change a person until he or she changes by themselves. We don't change the words of God, either wise it will become man made. The excuse that you guys come up with is evolving, what's that, we don't see it, we see it going backwards. We are humans and not animals. The devil gives you what you want but never what you need. You guys define évolution by wearing smaller clothing and tighter clothing so you pocke your eyes on people like a puppet display, we prefer to preserve our dignity has humans. Colonisation time, conquerors laughed and mocked indigenous people for uncivilized clothing like savages and today is backwards. Allah gave the human and the jinn free will, we are responsable of our actions and choices in this temporary life so either chose to corrupt yourself or find true freedom and inner peace." Great intro to those in such plights - Being honest and not justify sins. I still cannot find an inspiration from the rest of the lecture, unfortunately.
    It seems the speaker had emphasized on being proud as a Muslim and thus to wear the hijab. He had also touched on safety for women. However, shouldn't the context be taken into account? Being in a land such as where the Prophet s.a.w was in would be appropriate and practical in preventing prying eyes. But elsewhere such as in the West, more eyes will be prying on you for wearing, causing harm on you.
    Incidentally, I'm from the East and it is indeed easy to wear the Hijab. I've had so many encounters in the East where many non-Muslim men were madly attracted to me in my Hijab. The same went for my Westerner husband when he first laid eyes on me, all covered up.
    I can relate to the sister's question. I would appreciate if an Islamic expert can address such issues in the scientific sense, how an Islamic practice benefits or saves us.
    Example, why is it prohibited for men and women who aren't married to each other to touch, such as shaking hands.
    Instead of what is Halal and Haram which can shun people away, we could understand the science of how Allah has made us.
    In this case, we all have magnetic fields which can attract the opposite sex. Knowing this can in syaa Allah help us understand and practice what Allah has ordained.
    Jazak Allahu khayran.

    Wearing the hijab is obligatory but it is NOT obligatory for a Muslim woman to cover her stomach and back in front of her male mahrams. 🕌🕋

    • @kiseki9884
      @kiseki9884 Před 4 měsíci

      Who said obligatory?
      It’s not a must.
      Hijab is a woman’s free will
      No where in the Quran Allah commands of hijab a must.
      Muslim father or husband has no right to tell his wife or daughter, as free individuals, they may choose to or not to wear the hijab as it is only a culture and identity not a compulsory religious act. They, however must dress decently as the Qur'an has commanded by covering their bosoms and extended below the knee. But if they chose to add beyond what was required of them... It is their choice. Hijab was originally a semitic culture informed not by religion but by environment. In fact that is why in the past (and to some extent today) semite men wear the turban too to protect themselves from extreme sun heat and desert dust. When Islam came it gave out the basics in dress code for women
      Qur'an 24:31 "Tell the believing women.... Not to display their beauty except what is apparent thereof, and to draw their covering over their breasts...."
      Apparently God wants women to cover the provocative parts of their body (breasts, buttocks, thigh) in order not to arouse desire in men. But if anyone decided to cover herself from head to toe.. It is her choice but mustn’t impose it on others in the name of religion.
