    Lovely job, I've never done dry stone walling but have always admired it from around the country. I'm a Brickie myself, so I appreciate the skill and work that goes into it that the general public take for granted. All the best from Hampshire.

    Great work . Some footage at normal speed would be much appreciated by those of us who are new to this or improvers.

    Cheers Tom which part of Britain do you do most of the jobs thinking of going back to the UK because whereas ten years ago could get 80 euro per Mt normally holiday complexes work dried up and don't pay as much

      I’m in Yorkshire mate! Working between Harrogate and Bingley. There’s plenty of work here for sure

    Hi Tom, how do you know how much stone you need for a job when you're ordering?

    • @DryStoneTom
      @DryStoneTom  Před rokem

      Hi, it really depends on the quality of the wall your building and the hight but a general rule is 1 ton Of stone per square meter of wall.
      I like to add about 1 ton extra per 10 square meters of nice walling

      @@DryStoneTom thanks. I work on an estate and im teaching myself to wall when I get a free day and find the effort and money that goes into walling staggering

      Hi mate, I honestly can’t remember I’ve been on and off it for about 4 weeks as I’ve got multiple jobs running alongside each other ⚒

      @@paulbugden8573 it’s probably around 9 days including moving stone and making the square tops and moving the old stone out, but that’s making an educated guess

      @pro-wall5005 Před 2 lety +1

      Making tops will be a pain their looks a lot of top stones.I can make about 9 m of round ones in a day if their is plenty of stone
      Never made the square ones

      @@pro-wall5005 the square ones are worse than round mate! I am not a fan at all and it’s not something I will be offering on the regular haha I had to match what was exiting in this instance.
