    Did Gab seriously just say Pep Guardiola is Bayern's most succesful manager over the last 15 years?
    Really? The guy who took over a treble winning side and failed to make a UCL final, getting spanked 5-0 by Real Madrid, and losing to Barcelona (who Bayern beat 7-0 under Heynckes when Barça got 100 points in La Liga). That guy was more successful than Heynckes, who won the treble, or Flick who won the sextuple in the most dominant UCL run of the last 15 years? WOW!

    Bayern are taking a big gamble with Kompany. But I think there are a few things that might go in his favour. First, his football fits with Bayern very well and he sticks to it. Secondly the Pep factor; he has played under him and most of his teammates including Pep have praised his leadership skills. Thirdly, the players. Neuer and Muller are probably playing their final season this year hence they might give it all to win trophies for Bayern. Everyone knows Kane is forever hungry to win something. The rest of the lot? The next UCL final is in Munich, I don't think they need any more motivation. And if he does fail, they can always try again to sign Xabi next season :)

    Although, from Bayern’s perspective there are surely way better options available. Kompany took six months to adapt to Premier League football, by which point Burnley were all but relegated. He spent £100M in the process, so to suggest he had no money is absolutely ludicrous. It seems like a very high risk which Bayern shouldn’t need to take, given their status on the European stage.

And instead of spending money like crazy or changing the manager, they decided to stick to their guns and be smart even if it meant relegation. So it's not exactly fair to say he got them relegated, when the club hierarchy itself thought they had a championship squad and not a premier league squad. This is also the reason Kompany didn't try to do crazy things with his game plan. He wasn't really trying to keep them in the Premier league no matter what. He was coaching based on the club's long term plans.

    Doesn’t the Bayern hierarchy constantly bash Pep and his time at the club? I feel like if anything Pep would be a reason they don’t take Kompany.

    Kompany did well in the Campionshipp & then got found out by his naivety , lack of experience & stubborness in the Premier League . He failed horribly & yet could possibly end up at one of Europes biggest clubs Bayern Munich . I guess failure really is rewarded these days .

      @Delboy0 Před 28 dny +7

      You don’t understand he changed Burnley from a defensive long ball team to Pep style team in just 12 months and got them promoted with record points. It obvious Burnley got relegated because the players were not good enough to play his tactics in the top division, but people in the game know he has enormous potential as a coach. So feel if you have his tactics with top players you could get Pep imitation team like Arteta Arsenal or Alonso Leverkusen

    • @JR-sj1jz
      @JR-sj1jz Před 28 dny +1

      @Delboy0 Sean Dyche worked for many years at Burnley and never got anywhere close to the transfer budget that Kompany had. Yet not only did get Burnley promoted twice but he kept them up for a number of years. Even got them into Europe. Yet he is the dinosaur whilst Kompany gets praised for one of the worst Burnley sides in their relatively short premier league history. All the other Burnley teams that got relegated had more wins and points on a fraction of the budget.

    • @Delboy0
      @Delboy0 Před 28 dny

      @@JR-sj1jz Burnley were on of the lowest spenders in the Premier League so stop talking nonsense about Kompany spending lots of money. It requires far more good coaching to get Burnley to play passing football than Sean Dyce low block long ball football, which is why Dyce will never be offered a big job and Kompany has multiple big clubs interested in him because they can see with better players he could be a really successful coach. The amount of times Burnley lost points to due to individual errors shows it was a player quality problem.

    • @JR-sj1jz
      @JR-sj1jz Před 28 dny

      @Delboy0 not mate you spare us this nonsense and media lies about Kompany not spening money because I have the real truth about Burnley's spending.
      Last summer Kompany spent €111m. That's the most Burnley have ever spent in a window. It was 12th highest spend in the premier league, 18th in all of Europe and over €85m more than Luton.
      €18m - That's how much Trafford cost. That's the 4th highest fee ever for a British goal keeper, and €7m more than what Newcastle spent on Pope, an English International. Trafford's only experience before was in the 3rd tier of English football with not a single minute played in the premier league or championship.
      €43m - thats what Burnley spent in Kompany's first season in the championship. 2nd highest spenders in that league.
      And what did all this spending result in. Lowest wins and points by a Burnley side in the premier league. Less points than Luton who only spent €25m and only 6 more goals scored than Sheffield, the joint worst team ever in premier league history.
      These are the facts, not opinions. He is lucky he has a bald head and friends with Pep because he should have been fired a long time ago.

    • @JR-sj1jz
      @JR-sj1jz Před 28 dny

      @Delboy0 Burnley literally spent €111m last summer. 12th, highest in the league, 18th in Europe and over €86m more that Luton who got more points than them. And the biggest amount ever spent by Burnley in one window.
      James Trafford cost almost €18m. With add ons that's the 3rd highest fee ever for a British goalkeeper. Ever. Almost double what Newcastle spent on Pope, former Burnley keeper and English International . And Trafford's only experience was 3 seasons in the 3rd tier of English football. To make it even worse, he was dropped for being one of the worst keepers in the league.
      These are the facts, and not this propaganda being spread by the likes of you and Gab about Burnley not spending a lot. Kompany wasted so much money it's amazing he wasn't fired in January.

  • @signoresantinoburnett1169

    If i could pick one coach to go to Munich hypothetically it would be Gasperini. His style of play at Bayern would be a throwback to King Jupp.

    Did Xabi Alonso win anything before Leverkusen, Stevie? That is as much a ridiculous argument as Marcotti's, touting Company because he played at ManCity. ESPN surely does not have the expert panel they believed they did. And fo course, if Kompany is the new coach and fails, you all knew it. If not, you also all knew it, right? Lets see how well your statements age over, say, 6 months.
