- Roofing sales pitch in 10 seconds or less? Watch as I race the stop watch to nail the pitch in 8.1 - 9.3 seconds (for both storm and retail roofing sales).
Shoutout to Kermit who emailed me to inspire this video. He told me the story of the "10 second pitch shot clock." Where a homeowner answered the door and said, "I'm busy. You've got 10 seconds. Go." Kermit asked me to do a video on what to do - and here's how I do it.

What do you say in your 10 second pitch?
Hey Adam, how’s this one sound? Need your opinion.
Good morning, I’m Mike with(enter company) and I’m in the neighborhood helping folks get a new roof through their insurance. What’s the first thing that comes to mind if I told you that you could get a brand new, upgraded roof, through your insurance company and the only thing you pay is your deductible?
@@muaythaiclinch1306 Never know til you try :) As I say, if it ain't broke - don't fix it. And always be improving and experimenting. Try it out and see -- the only risk you run is IMMEDIATELY raising red flags and objections with resistance to people wanting to file a claim - that's a tall ask to open with - especially BEFORE you create the need for them to file a claim and showcase the damage. It could lead to a LOT of premature rejection - but again -- try for yourself and see!
@@muaythaiclinch1306 how has this pitch been going for you
@@JustSyrex never used it.
@@muaythaiclinch1306 may i ask are you still in the roofing business and how’s it been going
Never use five words when three will do. Efficiency. Thanks for the video.
💪🙏♥️👊
The 10 second pitch is so important for that first impression. It could mean the difference between and investor and a walk-away. So loved this video.
Some Peggy out there must have rocked your world brother 😂
😘 if only you knew… 🤣🤣🤣

Peggies and gilfs, and bbbws, literal and utter amazement
This was the most helpful video for me, personally. I am very new to the sales industry. I am Kermit, pretty much!
This is exactly what I needed to get my nerves under control.
Glad to hear that and happy to help. Getting your nerves under control is a big step in the right direction!
This was so helpful. So many people in the south where I work are so quick to let you say one thing and then tell you no. This is very cool
💪
Signed my Solo first contingency yesterday using this method!!!
Just joining the roofing sales industry and was recommended your channel for some tips, ect... Great stuff dude! Subbed
Welcome to the channel and the industry my dude!! Excited to have you here. I hope to help you CRUSH IT!
Honestly loving all of your videos. This is exactly what we need to do to grow our businesses! Thank you for such great content and valueable info!
Appreciate you!
I need to have your excitement and energy in my pitch
AWESOME Advice As Always!!
Thank you!
great info !!!
💪🙏❤️
Big help!
Thanks
Need something like this for smart homes. Lot of people is hard to explain if they’re not patient. I just keep talking till they close the door.
Brand spanking new to this like 2nd day new. Little nervous going out this coming Saturday
@DocSGC great video
Def using the insurance 10 second pitch. Thanks for the vid!! All are super helpful. And no I don’t have a Mohawk anymore lmao
Pumped to hear that dude. And that mohawk was 10/10. Probably would be a heck of a conversation starter at the door 😂
@@TheRoofStrategist YAS!!! Great point. Only to the 50 and under clientele lmao
@Muay Thai Clinch 😂
@@TheRoofStrategist He failed you lol, he bounced out of the industry like a punk
Nothing like an 8 minute video explaining a 10 second pitch
It's a great explanation 🤷🏻
🙄
So you can get it 😂
😂😂😂
What if you haven't helped a neighbor and you say you just got off there neighbors roof. What if you've never been to the neiborhood, how would you start your pitch?
Do you have any pointers for I all ready have a contractor after Ian because most roofing companies have pull out already because so many people have signed with companies that have already left the state
“Hello… I’ll cut right to it… my names Austin …We’re getting your neighbors approved through the insurance company for a new roof because you guys all have discontinued shingles! You’re in luck, because you have the exact same shingles!” How would you pivot off of this little twist I put onto it? We target developments with discontinued shingles because we are in a match state
Keep in mind it’s not just because it’s discontinued. we had a bad storm in June where most have hail and wind damage. just trying to figure out a way to put all of that into a quicker pitch
Hi Adam, very nice video. My name is Krystal, I recently subscribed you because I could learn so much from your videos than anyone else about how to make sales. I really appreciate all those amazing channels of yours. By the way, I have a question for you. What is the best way to handle customer complaints? I realized The more sales I make, the more chance I get complaints either from my mistake or a mistake from the third party. In this case, do I use AOR formula? If so, How do I apply it?
Glad to have you here! Great question. I did a video on this czcams.com/video/DlqtGp-lGfg/video.html and have added it to my list to do an updated version :) And yes -- use the ARO formula! That's actually how I came up with it is through dealing with (and confidently overcoming) customer complaints.
Just started at BCR. Great video man
Worst company you could ever work for man worked there before best thing you can do is realize they’re a pyramid and go ask other companies how they pay double to triple for less work
Good luck lol
I’m a salesperson for a roofing company. I don’t inspect or get on the roofs. What could be my angle?
What is the best basic sales pitch in this industry for those who don't speak English very well ? Could you give me any tips about this ?
Should have recited the entire Bee Movie script in 10 seconds
Feasible. Yes. Bee. 😂
“” ….”” I’ll give you the opportunity for a free inspection to make sure there is no unseen damage like I’ve found on several of your neighbors roofs. Whatta ya say?
Definitely going to use this! However , my company has hired me as one of their first sales reps for a company brand new to my area . That being said I cannot connect “peggy” or any other jobs from the area for reference in my pitch . Can you give me an example role playing as a new rep for a new company
I've got a video on this topic coming soon!
I’m growing.
Hey buddy. I'm busy too I can't even learn anything from you because you're overselling this video. Please make us watch an ad in the beginning and get the point of your videos off with the same respect you have for a potential clients time. I got shit to do buddy. Sweet and simple less is always more
What if you don't have a Peggy's roof scenario?
Hey Adam, new guy here.
The compliment with the "S" seems to be disingenuous. I can fell it, and bet homeowners can as well. How do you deal with that aspect of things?
Great question! If it feel disingenuous then skip the compliment.
Make a video of the inspection to show or text the homeowner. Explain what damage is and why it’s a concern. Nail pops, blisters ,obviously missing creased shingles, zippering. After they watch a good video they’ll ask what’s next… sign here ✍🏼
You are on again. Did hermit or Kermit make any royalty s off this video. Seems like he helped
hey how are yah!? i’m(name) im a roof inspector with(company), are aware that the roof is leaking???? and take on from there🤝
Hey Adam, How do you know their roof is leaking?
Your also insulting her roof
I think you should float some money towards Kermit don't you
Hey Randall, most of my videos are in response to questions that come in via email, CZcams comments, FB or IG messages, etc.
You ask. I answer. :)
I'm providing oodles of free training and advice that no one has to pay for. In response to questions like Kermit, he just got a heck of an in depth answer at no cost to him. Just like Jeff got answers to his question (in depth) from last week's video. And the results of implementing this advice should help him and many others land even more sales.
1 hr explanation for a 10 sec pitch. Lol😂 8 minutes, I guess
So what if you lie and say you just helped Peggie up the street and they so happen know everyone in the neighborhood, and question you about peggie
Don't do that. Tell the truth - always. If don't have a real neighbor to reference, you can simply say that you are speaking with neighbors on Lexington Lane.
Bro I hope you don't take this fuckin long to gwt to the point forna customer
You can never get to the point. It drives me crazy. I watched the first 5 min of 3 of your videos and you said nothing of value.
Thanks
