Welcome to Texas where a 7.7x is a slow street car 😂😂 was nice meeting y'all, was planning on coming back but the rain kinda killed the day
So glad I watched. I am building my first LS motor and I noticed there are boat holes that I don't use on my LS intake. Thank you very much for showing this.
Awesome! Glad I could help, thanks for watching
Congrats man. 🎉 I’ve been following u for some years now and your car has progressed a lot. Seems to be smooth going down the track. Definitely goals for sure !

I live 12 minutes from Summit Racing Ohio. Its a blessing and a curse. 😂$$$
I feel that after going to Summit! 😂
Congrats on the win, what an accomplishment. On another note I have a question, why is a funny car cage needed in a 25 cert vehicle? Why not get rid of the funny car cage if the driver has a containment seat in place?
Good job, James. I know. You're happy because I've never heard you cuss.
Haha 😂 try not to for the videos couldn’t help myself I guess lol
Nice work! What rear end gear do you have?
It’s got a 3.00 rear gear in it for those drag and drives! 😁
@@BuildTuneRace I’ve wondered what would work with a th400 getting the starting line ratio down in 1st without giving up too much up top
Yeah if I remember right math says it’s similar to a powerglide with a 3.50 rear rear and then It also cruises down the highway really nice.
Also RPM is still like 7700 out the back at 183mph
I am confused why you still run so much travel up front when you are on a radial... Simple changes and car would really go fast... congrats on the progress
Are you running race gas or methanol or E? Check your down track videos from the start line. It seems like you are running pretty rich by the amount of black smoke coming out of both sides. Nice job on the win!
It’s on c16 so it will have more dark smoke than e or methanol when running rich. I think it was like that due to all the water grains in the air I ended up adding timing and leaning it out a bit but could have probably went further with it. Definitely not what I expected at lower elevation
Could only see the black smoke during the day time runs and by the way the ET's picked up I thought you must have changed your tune some ! Great job!@@BuildTuneRace
You need to put some skis on it
Wouldn’t hurt to have them on there. Going to get the front end tied down even more so we can throw more at it in the 60 when on good prep!
My gs you need to build more boost off line sounds like your not building enough boost for the end of the track try leaving off 5 pounds of dome pressure
so did putting the screws in the intake bolt holes fix the oil issue? i believe i have the same issue with my c.i.d heads
It did. If they are not plugged they need to be as the holes are most likely drilled though to where they breath from the crankcase
thanks for the info dude. I just looked at pictures i took last year before i sent the engine back to the builder and there is oil all over the lower holes. Def relaying the info to the builder right now. the shitty thing for me is, i have the msd intake and the way they seal the port is different from stock ls7. where they have a long ass gasket that goes past the angled ledge below the intake port, and it wasnt sealing correctly and was inhaling all that oil that was leaking, plus the oil leaked down the backside of the engine into the bellhousing and coated my clutch. atleast i now know why lol. THANK YOU!
@@BuildTuneRace
That’s a bummer, I had no idea either then when I talked to Tim at Borowski we looked back at pics and realized that was probably the problem. Seems like it kinda gets forgot about throughout the process and unless you know you wouldn’t ever guess that. Glad I got it figured out and this video helped you as well!
Look like a diesel going down through there, a little rich?
Why is it so rich? Its like a diesel going down track. Thats not e85 fuel
It’s on c16 it seemed like in Colorado it was really happy but down there with all the water in the air I needed to lean it out and add some timing. I was doing that in small increments as we were racing but still could have used some for sure.
