    Hi Matt, I’ve been playing with the TaylorMade TP5’s for a couple of years now as I find them to produce consistent distance and great scoring iron feel and workability. I’m a 50 year old hitting of 6 and previously only used the Pro VI’s. Just find the TP5’s suit my game as I just feel more confident with them.

    Best golf ball is the one that suits you. The one that gives you confidence. Over the years i've pretty much tried all the premium 'tour' balls, as well as the mid-range offerings. Never really got on with Pro V1's, and in the main played AD333's for years. Now switched to Q-Star, which i've found suit me better off the tee and give me more confidence from 100yds-in. Whether a ball is £15/dozen or £50/dozen, if its right for you're game its the right price.👍

  • @miscstuff7473
    @miscstuff7473 Před měsícem

    Very interesting. A few more questions I'd like answered before making the switch. Is it as durable as the ProV1? Does it only last 3/5ths as long as a ProV1? What about consistency in manufacturing.... are they all identical or is there an unacceptable amount of variance from ball to ball. There are many balls that can match a ProV1 for a few shots. Need to see what happens to the ball half-way through a round.

  • @T35LA
    @T35LA Před 2 měsíci

    I tried them a few weeks ago. My swing speed is a little bit on the lower side (90-95). I hit a soft ball 10 yards further but I was totally unsatisfied with the spin and control hitting into the green with a 6-P iron. I played VICE PRO SOFT and I was not 100% convinced. I tried the INESIS 900 TOUR and I was immediately pleasantly surprised. Feels softer than it’s probably is but the control and back spin around the green is fabulous. My ball was consistently a little short (until 1 foot) of my pitchmark (even with a 7 WOOD). I’m playing this ball this season and it doesn’t break the bank.😊

  • @Pud56
    @Pud56 Před 2 měsíci

    All well and good Matt, which ball will you actually play. Most amateurs swing below or just about 100 with driver, not enough to compress a ProV1. I use Callaway toursoft, age 67 still drive 245 carry, ProV1 isn’t as long. My fitting pro, couldn’t believe it when in the sim, he gave me a new ProV, i hit 10, then i produced the Callaway and out drove the ProV with every shot. He now recognises compression in a ball is important to consider when selecting your ball.

    • @JonasKFriedChicken
      @JonasKFriedChicken Před 2 měsíci

      Inesis coming out with 1.47 smash factor and the Kirkland with 1.45. It's just a less efficient ball off the face. You can be kind and throw 2 yards to the Kirkland for the .8 missing club head speed, and it's still 5-6 yards shorter than the other balls.
      Now the Kirkland is still the best ball for people who tend to lose a lot of balls, but still want good spin and feel around the greens.
