  • In this video, we forage for wild berries in the bog in Kildare. We really wanted wild Strawberries but we missed them by about a week.. Never mind though, because we found Raspberries, Blueberries and we also found wild Chamomile aka Pineapple weed and mixed the lot in bowls with cream and yoghurt which was amazing. I'd highly recommend Pineapple weed and Yoghurt by itself! We also had some fun looking for Grasshoppers and rummaging around the countryside.. My wife made her first appearance on our videos also which made us very happy :0) Thank you mammy !

Looks so fun to pick, berries are so expensive in the shops and they offer so much nutrition. I did not know there was wild blueberries growing in UK, I just knew it mostly grew in America, Canada or other parts of Europe. I live in London and always go wild blackberry picking in greenspaces near me. But blueberries are my favourite, the ones you have picked look succulent and big. I hope to one forage for wild ones.

Hello @mia , yes very expensive indeed . There are many wild berries and fruits in the wild here in Ireland and I'm sure also in the UK once we can find them. I believe there are wild cranberries here in Ireland somewhere... how I'd love to find those 😋 Enjoy your foraging this year . We have a lot to look forward to 😊

Blueberries! I'm so jealous! We're in county Galway and are yet to find them.
Very good video btw, it warms my heart to see people are still going out, appreciate the nature, understand it AND their kids grow up in that atmosphere ☘️👌
I liked the girl's question about 'why they're called weeds' - good opportunity to show her that most people are so ignorant and arrogant that they step on their own food and would starve to death if left in the forest like this for a month. Your kids would have a chance to survive, good job guys👍🏻

I know, and it's such a Shame.. wildlife actually seem to take very little of what's out there so there's an abundance really. Just tune into the seasons , and there's bounties to be had everywhere..
