I already saw a review of one of these a few years ago. In that case it happens that the compressor and blowers were too much for the circuit breaker and the cabin fell on the new paint in a painfully slow way. So that's something to keep in mind as well.

Glad you gave it a good review for what it is and its intended purpose. Too many people on here compare them to $20-30k downdraft booths! Biggest problem besides heat gain is trying to fold it small enough to go bag in the storage bag they provide!

Hi Brian and thanks for the video. I have been using one of these for the past year and it is so much better than just spraying in the shed. The main issue with these as you mentioned is if you lose power, I have mine in the shed and use the D hooks to hold it up but even these don't do a good enough job as it sags in the middle, just something for everybody to keep in mind, apart from this I'm very happy with the results I have been getting from mine, Cheers.

Great video. I have a few of these. From my experience, do not buy the type that has the mix room. the new improved models have a tube that goes across the ceiling and supplies the filtered air. if you have one do not open the mix room door because all the dirty air goes in the booth. with the new type, the whole length is usable paint space. Also, cut a deal with the seller and only get 1 blower or none. Buy a real blower from the bounce house industry then you will have a good circulation of air and will not need the elephant trunk which has a bigger set up deal and storage and electric needs. My 2 cents. they have a place for the do it yourselfer and get really great results. no bugs or dirt.

for the price of the "blow up" space, you can buy or build a metal enclosure. Granted it's a more permanent building but far more worth it. I guess it has its place for the mobile guys. Only issue I can predict is over time, the overspray will cake on the plastic hardening it, possibly cracking and puncturing it. At best it will flake off and of course fall on your paint job. I cannot fathom why anyone would pay 150K for a "professional" paint booth. ALLLLL of that being said. I am NOT a professional painter. But i did stay the night in a Holiday inn express.

When I was looking at getting one this size a couple years ago, it was just over $1,000. That’s a lot cheaper than I could buy a metal enclosure of that size, plus I would have needed a foundation. In my case, I have room for the enclosure, but not enough that I want to permanently loose it to a building that I would only need occasionally.

It's for people who want to throw it on the yard for a day and paint, those who don't have space for another structure. It also eliminates need for any permits. Most cities would view a metal one as a carport at the very least.

I didn't want to chance it so bought carport and blowers and everything else separate and built an portable filter system that can be used in any paintbooth! All you have to do is to eliminate dust and such is tape all seems with duct tape then lay big tarp down that you pull in on make booth airtight and cross draft booth then spray inside of booth down with water on walls and floor to eliminate more dust and the water will also collect overspray as it hits those surfaces and prevent overspray settling into prodject! There's alot of ways of getting good j9bs from cheap booths !!

Just fyi with these booths, I’m a mobile painter and have been using these booths for about 10 years. I have the Amazon type like in this vid and I also have the much more expensive type made with fire retardant materials epa, OSHA approved etc. They really are very useful especially in my line of work. I work for some bigger dealerships in my area of north Florida. I’ve worked for these same dealers for many years. With all that said I ran into a big issue this past week with a local fire inspector. He told me that he’d never seen these types of booths before and wasn’t aware of anything like it. Long story short he shut us down because he believes that all booths should have some type of fire suppression. I tried to explain to him that these booths do not require fire suppression because there’s nothing electrical inside these booths at all. I did explain that our expensive one was made of fire retardant materials so that it will not burn. That didn’t seem to matter to him and he shut us down anyway. I’m telling you this in case anyone might be interested in using one of these in their mobile business particularly at a dealership. I’m working on getting this straightened out with the fire chief and hopefully with positive results.

Great videos as usual!!! Question: when does your timer start between coats; when you start the panel or when you complete the panel. Thanks

When you complete the panel give it the recommended flash off time before next coat.

Loved this video with real world stuff, was thinking that if we lay some clear construction plastic on the top and let it hang over the sides a bit , that would shed water incase of rain,

Love your videos. Would you consider doing a slow step-by-step guide to masking/prep. Also a slow step-by-step gun cleaning and a slow step-by-step 2K mixing/explanations videos and the different 2K types and/or brands for all of us new DIYers. Please and Thank U🙏

You could possibly use those top tie downs to clip a clear plastic or white tarp over the top so it blocks water but not light.

Been reading Amazon reviews on these they good for low usage one guy said he was using it 2-3 times a month after 9-10 months started to come apart in the corners. Overall, it's probably safer than using a garage, or getting the wife upset with the smell. Even with fans in a garage somehow the smell gets into the house. I was wondering about installing a dryer inline with the compressor. I have seen water come out of a compressor line if you're in high humidity area.

I considered buying one a while ago. I'm not a body fender guy but I think one of those has a place when you need a place to paint and you don't have the space for a permanent structure. The prices jumped up significantly. I'll wait til they drop a bit.

Awesome results !! Thank you for this content dude I have the identical see Color and make CRV. I was going to spray it out inthe open but I live in a rural area in SW Florida. I ended up vinyl wrapping it the same burgundy color, for now but plan to paint it in the next couple years, professionally

I would b concerned about static as when I painted my 29 foot Sailboat using blue tarps I made several EPIC static sparks rubbing against the plastic
