- Cliff Burton was one of the best bass players ever. He was a big part of Metallica. He taught James about harmonies. He went to college for music. He practiced 8 hours a day. He could play bass with his fingers faster than most on an electric guitar. His death was a tragic one, which greatly effected James, Kirk, and Lars. His life was too short, like an unfinished song. Rest in peace.

I don't usually cry, but I went back to see that with my own eyes, and my eyes started to tear up, to now listen to pre Black album Metallica and care so much about Cliff Burtons death, picking up the bass, and wanting to follow in cliffs footsteps, to become one of the greatest bassists in history, it really hurts, it hurts to know he isn't alive anymore

Sounds cool, wish it's really played by Cliff or Jason... But I doubt it. Cliff recorded his demos on a plain tape recorder, and this sounds too digital and clean for me (at least bass). This tune sounds even cleaner than Cliff's bass on Master of Puppets album. Where it came from? 30 years of nothing, and here it is... 34 years ago, we lost this magnificent bass player at such a high point in Metallica's career. Cliff continues to live through his music which brought Metallica to higher levels of fame, eventually bringing them to the mainstream level of the music industry. He did so much and he gave his gift to the world. I don't care if this this demo was by him or not, but all we know is that this song was to be his send off. A tribute to one of the legendary bassists in metal and even music history. He isn't dead, because he lives within the sounds of his man made bass lines from the band's early days. He lives on with Metallica and he will never be forgotten for as long as we keep him close and memorable to us. He is, was, and always will be the best in the world at what he did. Rest well, Clifford.

When I was younger I loved this song. I still do... But it has taken on so much more meaning in my life. The under tones of the ramifications of lying to yourself and denying the world of who one can truly be if they are true to themselves. I look beyond this world now. I look at where I will be if I'm not honest with the Lord. I knew about salvation but I didn't know about salvation. To live we have to die in the flesh. And be reborn in the spirit. It's amazing how we go through life not realizing the Words were always around us. When the veil is lifted... It's that "wow!" moment. The footprints in the sand moment when you realize the Lord never left you... He carried you through the hard times when you thought you wouldn't make it.
Thank You Lord for never forsaking me... I am truly ready for the kingdom of salvation to take me home now....

@@samueldoss9608 Sure but there is just no need for it. Kirk IS Metallica, Dave IS Megadeth. Literally every lead guitarist in Megadeth is better than Dave, which should tell you something. The guy brings virtuoso after virtuoso, and he knows damn well that they are just above him. It made Megadeth one of the best Metal bands, taking all that away and just having him play lead for Metallica would be far worse imo.
Also Iron Maiden isn’t Thrash, if any band should be in the big 4 it should be Testament imo
