I saw one precious child tear her diploma up upon receiving it. I wonder what the parents think when they see their child show total lack of respect for the institution that just helped them achieve a big goal. And I wonder why anyone at any school would think this is simply a First Amendment issue.
I would urge the university not to allow this! There's a time and a place to protest. A commencement ceremony is not it!
