OMG Ryan, this is a must have. I just left Home Depot and can't wait to putting mine together. Thank you for all of your awesome videos, you got me really hooked on this.
Thank you for sharing this with us💞
Thank you! I'm going to try to make this
Ryan! Thank you for making this video! I saw a post on facebook the other day of someone who made this but it had no instruction on how to do it so today I just thought "Hey, I'll check to see what Ryan had new on his channel." and BAM, I see this! It's seriously like you read my mind lol, especially with making the pvc pipes so you can remove them and fit different size cups I was telling my husband that's exactly what I needed because I recently ran into that problem.
Ahh I'm just so excited! Thanks a million! You're awesome!
you are awesome! thanks for sharing
That’s really cool man, gave me some ideas to make my wife’s rotisserie. Keep it up!
That's awesome man. Really clears things up
Ryan would this work for epoxy resin coating or would it drip from one cup to another?
Great video! I think I may be making one for the wife here soon. Used your single cup design and tweaked it for the materials I had on hand. She really enjoys that one. Thanks for ideas and the vids.
Do you happen to have a list of everything you used?
This seriously makes me want to go out and start buying my husband power tools so he can do this for me! You make it look so easy!
Thank you for the inspiration and directions! Just got mine up and running tonight.
I really need to the see the five cup turner, I have one like this but wanted the fifth one from the center to be used as a signal holder so I wont need two turners
After seeing the 1st one you did.. I went online trying to buy every old one I could & try to put them together..
#fail..
You: Jackpot💰💰
Ryan You ROCK!!
Aisha McKinney I appreciate but by no means is it perfect but I didn't want to spend any more time on it.
Fentertainment do you know how much it would electricity wise??
With this design wouldn't the epoxy just fall on the bottle below them as they turn?
Nicholas Castellini u shouldn’t be applying that much epoxy just a thin coat
Hey Ryan thanks for sharing,, your directions made it super easy,,, here's my pic, I made the bottom board too short, so I had to add another board underneath... thanks so much...
What is the measurements of all the pieces of wood to cut the boards
Could I leave my rotisserie rode long and add a football on the end so I could epoxy before I put on the Turner
Sure Could!
Is this just for drying?
What do you use to stabilize the wood? After a few uses it will no longer turn, it just wears through.
Hello. Say please, what kind og motor? where it sales?
I really love yours. I have been wanting one for a long time and I think that I just found the design that I want.
hey brother thank you for your video , have built one myself with a ton of success however I starting to have problems with rod slipping off the motor. any suggestions on how to solve this problem? T.I.A.
my husband made me one similar to this one but my question is can you add pvc pipe to the end and if so how would i go about doing it?
I made my fiance one similar to the one you have here. What we are finding is that after she does a few cups the wood that I drilled in the middle to hold the rotisserie bar seems to get bigger and loosen up which in turn makes the cups sag down and the whole piece of wood will wiggle down the bar over time. Have you found this to be an issue or no a cure for this? Any help is appreciated
Ok, I have a question and I am sure my thinking is wrong but I have to ask. It would seem that the cup isn't actually turning itself, so how is the epoxy being spun onto the cup. Wouldn't the cup be in the same position, yet moving in a circle pattern? I understand to not apply it while on this machine but what keeps the epoxy from just running to the bottom and staying?
Its just a larger diameter mount so the cup actually still makes a full rotation its just not as fast as a single cup since the single is a smaller diameter.
Hey there. Do you know if this motor can support the weight of 8 cups? Have you ever tried that?
arent they going to drip on one another?
Hi Ryan. I've watched every video multiple times. Question.... Could you show me how you attach a bottle (not a wide mouth tumbler) to this. I have a similar one, but the bottles hang downward because I have just wrapped rags around the dowel on my turner. They don't stay in place. Would love a suggestion. Thanks. Keep it up.
You've inspired me! Thank you sir!
How do you drill the hole exactly in the center of the PVC cap? Mine are all off center!
I know you put the epoxy on the cups before you put them on the mounts, but if there is epoxy on the entire cup, where do you hold it to put it on the mount without getting your fingers in the resin, and if you DO get your fingers in it, how do you repair the places your fingers held it?
Hi! I made my turner following your video everything came out good, except when it turning, is not smooth! it jumps ... what can I do to fix it??
Can this method be used if I wanted to make a double cup turner
Did you find your cups get a thicker coat to one side? I’ve tried to straighten my fittings etc but that slight lean it gets going round seems to make my cups thicker at one end. Any hints on how to fix that?
thank you so much!!! Fantastic I can do this!! love it
I am having trouble with mine like this jumping and stalling for a minute. Any suggestions?
Great Video,,, awesome idea ,,, I'm gonna try to make this today.... wish me luck..
What length is the metal rod? Do I need to cut it down if I purchased one?
Could you list the materials that you use
question i turned a cup last night and this morning one side of the cup was like dull almost cloudy but everything else was crystal clear any idea how that happened or how to fix it? Thanks in advance.
What size bit did you use to drill the hole for the rotisserie?
We built this and I'm having issues with the rod slipping out and Halfway through turning it'll stick and then jump. I was able to fix the rod slipping but I can't seem to get it to stop "sticking." I see a few others with the same issues, any suggestions to fix this issue? I don't wanna trash this whole thing but it's making huge bumps in my epoxy! HELP
I went by your instructions and mine keeps tilting down. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong? I made two and still the same problem.
How big is the board you cut off 4 corners and do I need a full 8 ft board ? Thank you.
Fantastic, thank you so much.
Brilliant!!!
Thank you for doing this!!!
love it
Hi Ryan, what's the width and length of the wood that turns with the cups
Genius!!! Now tell me how to diy the motor base. Lol could I attach something like my dremel, to a nut, that would turn at least one cup. I thought because I can set it at a slow enough speed. Then take it out to use the dremel when not in use. But surely theres something else I could use without having build a motor..lol 🤔
I would definitely have to have my husband put this together for me lol
I've now built two but my board just gets loose any tips
How does this work in leveling epoxy on 4 different cups. Or is this just for drying. It doesn’t look like the cups are turning.
all 4 cups will make a full rotation, they turn a full circle together but not individually.
Fentertainment is there a video that I can watch? I am visualizing that it turns like a Ferris wheel. The cups rotate around the base but don’t actually turn over.
@@Fentertainment im wondering the same. Im new to this and was looking for something like this i can have my brother build for me, but i assumed the cup needed to make a full turn on its own in order to level the epoxy correctly? Please explain. Thanks! (:
Great video! Tyfs
I love this idea. I have a concern though. Will the epoxy drip on the other cups? Have you noticed that?
If the epoxy is real heavy it may. I apply the epoxy on the cup and then put it on here so it hasn't yet.
Just built the same one, thanks
To solve the board from wobbling loose on the shaft, I used a big flat washer, I then drilled the hole big enough to slide on the shaft and I also drilled 2 holes in the flat side of the washer, then i welded the washer to the shaft, slide the wood on the shaft, screw 2 screws through the holes, problem solved!!!
Very cool, great idea.
Hubby made one for me but the mounts are not completely level. The pvc extensions that hold the cups slant slightly, like yours appear to be. Will this cause issues with the epoxy being able to level out?
Val Atchison how we fixed this problem is we nixed the bolt and drilled the hole the diameter of the threaded pvc. Slipped the thread through and screwed the cap on from the back.
Thank you
I have a question about the 4 cup turner. On the piece of wood that holds the cups. I drilled the hole in the middle to your directions and had to hammer down the medal pole. After using it for several cups the middle hole is bigger and my board moves. Is there a way to fix this? I've tried to use wood glue and sort of fill in the hole but that didn't help. I love my turner but need to fix this board I've messed up cups because it will jump to the end. Thanks for your help.
just fill the gap with epoxy
I made one so proud of myself, but I notice it jumps or skips any ideas why?
veraquicool same!! It’s driving me nuts I’ve adjusted EVERYTHING and it still does
fantastic and helpful
Thanks!
Does the epoxy drip on the other cups as they turn or no ? Having them so close im thinking about building one
It didnt. However I no longer have this one. I will be making a different design this week hopefully.
Do U make to Sell interested on A 2 cup??? Thks
Hey Ryan this is perfect because my Styrofoam keeps making my cups slide off while rotating, what size PVC and female adapters do I need to grab..please let me know I have a nerf football on the hook on the end but this is perfect for the other 4 dowels, I can modify them.
How are you modifying for the other cups and koozies? Will you use shorter size PVC pipes?
Yup just make them for the different size cups. Like I said its just a diy so you can make the modifications you want to fit your needs!
Ok thank you, I attempted to get a pool noodle today but it was too thin...my dowels are attached to the wood so I'm trying to come up with a modified version like this that will allow me to not take mine completely apart😏🤔 I'm hoping the pool noodles are the missing link...
So my husband made this for me. At first the rod kept coming out. Got that fixed. On the third run, the hole in the wood had gotten bigger and it stopped turning. Now i have to figure a way to plug the hole up so it will work, otherwise, it will be a single turner. Any suggestions?
Fill the hole with epoxy and drill out a new hole?
Hey Ryan my husband just made one of these following your steps but my turner is skipping have you had this problem and do you know how to possibly fix it?
ninerfam925 same and the piece in the middle that the rotisserie is on keeps wearing down. How do you keep it from wearing down! We’ve welded it -the weight seems to be too much for the motor
another great video tks
Hey there Ryan, my husband made me this turner about a month or 2 ago and the bar keeps popping out of the motor about every hour while turning. Any advice on how to fix this problem?
check out the video @ 6:00. Over to the right where the bar slips into the eye lit bolt I put a collar that was supplied with the kit against the eye lit bolt between the motor. This will keep the bar from slipping out of the motor.
Do you sale them?
wouldn't they drip down on each other?
What is the motor called
hey Ryan! I saw you on one of the tumbler groups and knew I had to check out your channel!
do you sell these at all?
I love this 1!!!!
Need help mine is put together but for some reason half way threw turn it pauses and does a wired loop thing could this be a motor issue. it's like it skips if that makes sense.????
I'm having the same issue. I thought it was the motor as well but it seems i'm not the only one
The weight of all your cups has to be evenly distributed. Sometimes you may have to throw on some blank ones on the other 3 spots...it will not spin continuously and smoothly if you only have one cup on it. Even 2 put on opposite from each other will still cause issues for the motor...just make sure you have similar cups on all 4 to help even the wheel out.
I see you hammer the short rod on the board, how did you connect the longer rod to the same board? Or did you remove the short rod and replace it with the longer rod? thanks again.
Robert S Rodriguez Jr it was replaced with the lonver rod
Glad you answered this, I am getting ready to make mine tomorrow and that part confused me. Thanks.
Can you still do the tumblers with expiry without the cuptisory?
Ramona Jimena you can! It just takes way longer because you have to use thin coats so it doesn’t run so you need more layers of epoxy. This same CZcamsr has an excellent video NOT using a rotisserie :)
only have your blade about 1/2 deeper that the material you are cutting
May I ask the sizes of the PVC fittings and the PVC rod? Thanks
Robert S Rodriguez Jr 3/4
hello Ryan
will you build one of those for me??? PLEASE
Great video, ? Is it necessary to use the primer and cement?
probably not but for some reason I like to over think things! New video tomorrow morning!
Hey Ryan! What is the best type of wood to use? Thanks!
I used regular white pine.
I purchased one off etsy and when it is turning one cup I put two of the same to account for the weight but it is slipping like thing it is doing. can anyone give me advice how to fix it?
Janice Pleasanton I would send it back or contact the seller.
Fentertainment I did waiting for response
Great work as always Brother but not practical. how will you apply epoxy to the cups? it will be on only part of the cups. if you could figure out how to get all of the cups to rotate individually, then it's a winner!
I actually used it again this past weekend. I do not apply the epoxy to the cup while it is turning. I apply the epoxy with the finger method while holding it. Its very simple and does the trick. I've seen the other one you are talking about and its cool. This was you dont have to search for all the parts.
Agreed. Instead of threaded fittings, I just used a smooth end cap fitting and made the PVC pipe handle onger, so I can hold on to it while I epoxy and then slide it into the cap.
MrRealGoodMan Same thing I thought
Look at the logo on the cup, they do have a 360 rotation so that is like they rotate individually
Good afternoon, I have the turner made however the square whole that you put the rod in the whole gets wonky and then the turner tilts down, do you have a remedy for that or have you experienced that?
Please answer...have you experienced the weight of the cups making the spinner tilt, knocking off the cups
You can put 2 holes in the motor don't drill too far.. and it will help with your issue
I’m having the same issue... maybe I can somehow incorporate the meat fork part into the board... 🤔
Have you tried the baking method?
Not yet but soon with paint and powder. I'm just getting tired of epoxy.
Ryan Fenters Same here, but I'm not ready to invest in powder paints. I've been seeing people doing it with spray paint.
Tfs.
so I keep sending my husband your previous how to video link....wop wop wop woooop :( I saw this one today and sent it, he comes in to the room with the "sewisously" look :/ if you ever make an assemble at home kit I will be the 1st to buy...hint hint wink wink :)
Do you sell these?
I do not. But I just showed you how to do!
i need one do you sell them?
Adriana Rodriguez i sell them
KJ Whitehead how much? How soon could you ship?
Korryn Copher what are you looking for
Could you provide some measurements for me "Ms Unskilled"
Michelle Darby I would love that too!!😏
37 15/16 by 18 3/8
This seems useless to work on 4 cup
You don't work on the cups when they're on here this is just to spin after applying epoxy to get an even coat as is cures
Great Video! But just in case you didn't know. You went ahead 16 times in 7 minutes.
LOL! I know exactly what you mean!
We are not contractors!!
A multiple-roti... what? :D
hole - 1st drill press channel
Hi Ryan
where do i get the motor?
I did it myself. I used Stodoys woodworking plans for this.
Iol
you don’t even show how it turns
longest 5 minute video ever
