He most likely used the same password for his other accounts in the internet. Club Penguin Online does not care about your private data. The website probably extorts your data the moment you enter it. Though a VPN will help you from having your IP visible.

I was so young, I didnât even realize what I was looking at. Any decent online game directed at children should make it impossible for any kind of communication between players.
It's weird he interacted with you yes, but club penguin came out in like 2005 which is only a couple years after you were born if you're 17. Making the game older than your sister. So if you think about it the people *actually* reliving their childhood, considering you're still a kid, are the people born around 95' who were 10 while playing when it first came out. I am 24 and started playing club penguin when it first came out. I have an account on CPO and CPR with my youngest sister and I don't think it's weird im on it, especially considering a ton of people on it are as old or older than me because the game is actually from 2005 even though people your age seem to think it's exlusively nostalgic for current 15-17 year olds. Just don't talk to little kids... it's pretty easy.
@@CamDollar i understand this completely but my point is that we all are trying to live our childhood through this game that is now shut down but there are so many teens for whom this game was originally made for and are playing it for the first time when we were that age there werent mature severs or these type of users . The REAL issue is that the game should have had strict rules at least like it used to .
After I played CPO for shts and giggles during spring break, something really weird happened to my Mac that I was playing on. The screen wouldn't turn on and I could not reset my Mac at all. It was stuck on this update password page and even after I changed the password, it would send me back to that page. I contacted Apple support and they told me I wasn't even supposed to be able to access the page that it was stuck on. Thought my Mac was dead for good... but I have this idea that maybe CPO was behind it because I did also play some Rewritten to see the difference and Anthony probably didn't like that.
My password was compromised when a breach happened on CP rewritten. Caused no damage, but was quite unsettling.

This is an anonymous account that I opened and it's definitely not my name.
So I used to play a lot of the private servers, but mostly Club penguin online and Rewritten
I loved online so much and I decided to write down an appeal to be a designer there.
I got accepted and I waited for them to tell me what to do
But inside the discord server I noticed that there was this admin named Envy, he was a total jerk, we had those like teams or gangs or whatever going around and I was in the pizza team, we were like 8 people
And he had the pirate team if I recall correctly, they were a lot of people.
He abused his powers, banned people which he did not like, promised people a lot of gold in game just so they join the pirates and very much hated everyone who wasn't in his team.
After I've seen how he acted I talked to my team's owner and we wanted to switch to a different club penguin, at this point I was already done with all this shit. It was stressful, all I wanted to do was play my childhood game.
One day I saw that they removed me from being a moderator and when I asked them why, they ignored me, I left all of the servers and never came back.
I wish there was a server that actually runs by good people.
Until there is one like that I'm not going to play any server again.

I have a Rewritten account and only log on every once in a while just for that whiff of nostalgia, as it seems like one of the more âclassicâ CPPSâs. As fast as Iâve heard this also seems like one of the less fishy servers as well
A lot of the old staff members from club penguin play/ed Club Penguin Rewritten like Spike Hike or Screenhog. So I'd say it's relatively got support from them all.

When I was around aged 9-12 I spend all of my time on a private server called CPYS (Club Penguin Your server) i'm now 17 and have nothing but fond memories of it. I was really involved in the community and recorded a lot of videos on it, it was pretty much my childhood. Sucks hearing about the controversy regarding privates servers as some of my best memories are on one.

I learned this the hard way. Around 2 years ago CP rewritten got data breached and a few of my other accounts got hacked, now I use a different password for every account so this never happens again.
To tell if a site is trustworthy or not is in the search bar near the top of the screen there should be a lock icon on the left side of the search bar. It means that your info (passwords, credit card numbers) is private when you use the site

The moment I saw it being advertised that "Club Penguin is Back!" I'm like, nope, no it aint. Habbo Hotel used (may still have, I havent used it in years) to have fake hotels run the exact same way. They were shady as hell and it was a perfect way to get not only your Habbo account stolen but also your personal information.

Just a heads up: you ip address cannot be used for specific location tracking, only overall (like only city accurate). The password/email part is scary tho, especially if you use the same password/email combo for important sites. Use a backup email and a random password and you can play any cpps without too much risk.

I have these like really small cousins that play like idk private servers and when I tell them that the real club penguin and cp island have shut down. They legit say no to my face and say that they are playing the real deal. They got no idea that they arenât playing the real game and they act like Iâm an old guy who doesnât know cp. Like dude. I played the real deal. Itâs so annoying

This same exact thing happened to Toontown when it closed. Private servers sprung up and there was so much drama and âwarsâ over which one was best, but the owners and creators of Toontown Rewritten (where the inspiration for club penguin rewritten came from) never took part in it and actually were really professional. They have had multiple real life events and all the people who were originally trying to hack them and go to war with them have grown up by now, so now people can play the game pretty much safe and sound, since Toontown Rewritten actually has professionals on their staff now.
You're info is great and a good heads up that private servers more often than not, are not so safe. rip clubpenguin, enjoyed it while u lasted many years ago.
