- As you know, it's been quite a while since I posted a motorhome video, but seeing this 2025 Featherlite custom Prevost motorcoach got me out of retirement. Featherlite's Vantare double slide "Kapalua" is truly the nicest and best equipped motorhome I've ever seen. While Featherlite is known for incorporating Yacht-level, high quality components, this specific coach takes it to the next level and add some tech features that make this more of a mansion than it does a motorhome.
Allow me to add this is NOT a paid advertisement as I created this report as at leisure for my friends. I'm glad I did.

Interesting, attractive choices of color and texture, appliances and appointments. Tasteful and practical in layout and design.
I agree. The floor plan flows well and that bathroom area is the best I've seen on any motorhome. The salon and galley are well appointed and comfortable.
Thank you for doing this video. Please continue to do more.
It's so good to see you doing motor coach videos again!
Are you going to purchase another one?
I would love to see you driving down the road.
I never say never!
I still think Featherlite has the best interiors!!
Remember when we toured the Featherlite at the RV show? I wanted to buy it but you didn’t have enough $$$ in your checking account!
hahahah, I remember!!! @@TheGadgetGuru
Awesome, mine is on its way too!
Very nice coach
Great Video Andy! Missed your Prevost thoughts....
Thank you!
Beautiful coach…love all the high end appliances
Thanks Andy for the tour, I loved their floor plan and that Featherlite was able fulfill the owner's requests. For a couple the bath and a half is wasted space in my opinion. I hope the owners have a great time enjoying their new coach.
I'm curious why you think that having the additional half bath is a waste?
Good to see you back doing Prevost videos!
Thanks Gil!
Gorgeous Coach!
This one is really special it’s like trying to pick a wife in a mail order bride catalog and you run into this wife and you speechless 😊❤❤
Best description ever!
Great job on this Andy! it has been a minute. In that time I have watched every converted Prevost video on CZcams from all converters current and past along with many engine and other system mechanics, inspectors, builders and refurbishers so I feel I have some authority to agree with you that this is the most luxurious and amazing of them all, as of today anyway. As far as the design elements and details you elude might be lacking from the other converters, I'm certain that Liberty and Marathon are both saying, hold my champagne 😉 Congrats to the owners of this beauty! Oh, and I can't believe you said $hit! lolol
Thanks! I'm just basing my opinions on my personal experience. I must say that the attention to detail on this Featherlite was second to none. I didn't want to make the video too long, but hopefully you can see the details of the floor, tile work and the fixtures in the video. The bathroom is simply amazing. And, don't be upset that I didn't drink any toilet water!
Haha! The time was perfect, very well done sir!
I miss working there.
As a motor home junkie I have to say we missed you Andy!
Thank you Steve! It was a very pleasant experience producing this video. The owners, while they prefer to remain private, are good friends and it was nice catching up and seeing the result of this two year project. The attention to detail of this coach is unlike anything I've ever seen.
Good morning
Why doesnt Prevost use minisplits? We have one in our SpaceCraft 5th wheel and love it.
Can you provide any details (manufacturer, model) of the water filtration device you highlight in your video that filters all incoming water to the entire coach?
Yes. There's link to the manufacture's CZcams video in the description above.
oh my bad, thank you!
what kind of doors are on the inside of the coach? Air?
I believe they are electric, but hopefully Featherlite can chime in to confirm.
They are electric stepper motor doors. They are German I believe. Doors are held in place on a track with a rubber belt which makes them quiet. When locked or loss of power you can force them open in an emergency then just turn them off and back on in the electrical bay to reset them back to normal operation.
Whats the total square foot of the interior ?
Roughly 400 sqft
Sorry it’s a 2024 last l looked we just got into 2024 and it’s January 🫵
The shell is not able to be a 2024 because it is the 2025 version of the New Prevost Shell made by Volvo. Featherlite had the first of the completely new Shell design.
You owned a Marathon and should know that Featherlite isn't the only Prevost builder that specs out the coach to owner specs.
Based on my experience, with few exceptions, the converters stick to their floor plans and customization means decor items. As an example, I considered building a coach a few years ago and only two converters would consider allowing me to design my own floor plan.
The floor plan of this coach is similar to all the other Prevost converter, front passenger side entry, salon up front, galley and dinette just after, mid bathroom/shower, rear bedroom. You can get exactly the same layout from any of the converters. Different finishes, hardware and appliances make each build one of a kind. All the converters make absolutely beautiful rolling works of art. Not to mention Prevost shell is the very best foundation to start with. Excellent job showing. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful coach MINUS the 10 inch wide cinder block blocking the entire center of the windshield.
Unlike a traditional RV, the center post between the windshields is structural and protects the integrity of the coach. This is only a part of what makes Prevosts the safest motorhomes on the planet.
@@TheGadgetGuru that makes sense but it diminishes the appearance of the coach in my opinion. I’d still love it either way. ☺️☺️☺️
@@ultraman33624 I understand that many feel the center support obstructs the view compared to the typical one-piece windshield found in typical RV's, but that's simply not the case. Whether you're in the driver or passenger seat, the view is amazing. Also, as motorhome owners can attest, rock chips can happen and it's much easier and less expensive to replace one of the panels in a Prevost windshield vs a a one piece RV windshield.
So they wanted Truly custom?? Should have bought a Newell, would have got what they wanted and then some and saved a half million bucks!! I have had both and the Newell experience is hands down the best!!
They wanted the safety of a Prevost shell as well as the access to Prevost factory service...should it be needed.
And no bay storage space, and no cage in the event of a rollover.
I don't think it's legal to sell it without side Mirrors. I believe that Prevost sells it with the Mirrors installed and lets the customer remove them and use just the cameras.
It's my understanding that while newer coaches can be retrofitted, a new coach can be ordered with the cameras only and not the glass mirrors. You can also have removable mirrors so that if you're traveling through a State that may require them, they can be quickly installed. You know Prevost and they wouldn't be offering this feature if it wasn't approved. @Prevost, can you reply to this inquiry>
Does this coach not have a cooktop?
When does the cook top get installed?
While I didn't show it, they have a removable induction cooktop. It was the owner's decision to have a removable cooktop to give them more counter space. It's stored in one of the drawers and sets up in a few seconds. They also use it outdoors on the pull out counter that I showed at the beginning of the video. After using the cooktop for a few weeks, they are glad they went this direction as it gives them quite a few options.
@@TheGadgetGuru , wow! What a great idea!
It’s really a 2023. That’s the year the chassis was made They can call it a 2030 if they like it’s still a 2023 when they take it into Prevost for service
Incorrect. This Shell was the first built to the New 2025 Prevost design. The shells actually changed design, notice the headlights, swept back front end. The efficiency increases are amazing.
If I were any of the motorhome converters I'd pay you not to showcase any of my creations. AND, Featehrlite sucks as motorhome converter while they are the best at doing passenger-based conversions.
Was it something I said?
@@TheGadgetGuru You're all good Andy ---Just trolling.
Poorly desighned interior similar to all. Ugggh.
