This song will always represent a time and place in my life that I'll never get to experience again. And that makes me sad.
I grew up with these guys.
at least it happened, you lived it, be grateful for that
close your eyes, memories are eternal ✨
Do not cry because they are past!
Smile, because they once were!
- Ludwig Jacobowski
I 100% agree with you, but it also brings back amazing memories, at least we have that
Who else is here in 2021. 90s was a great era, too bad we don't have music like this anymore.
Me!
Me!
Right here bro. This song is in regular rotation.
Always and forever.
ton of bands sound like this in 2021. Iron Chic, RVIVR, Off With Their Heads, Dead Bars, Banner Pilot, Elway, PUP, The Lawrence Arms all just off the top of my head
This song will never get old
Never!
One of my favorite songs of all time
Yes !
Thinking of you today, John...you're heavy in my heart. This song brings me back to that time when we had no cares in the world. We spent hours in your room listening to music..this song being my favorite. You hated that I put it on repeat, but dealt with it anyway. Smoking cigarettes and weed. Drawing on your walls. Ordering Dominos. I still remember the way your room smelled. My first real boyfriend. We shared many firsts. We were just kids back then...now, 21 yrs later, I'm married with kids of my own, and you had your sweet little Jason...who looks so much like you, it's crazy. I still cant believe you're gone. It feels unreal. Like the past has been ripped away from me. All I have left is memories like these. Every time I think back to them, I cant help but smile and feel nostalgic. They were some of the best times of my life. Thank you for being part of my life. Thank you for the great memories. I'll always cherish them. You'll always have a piece of my heart. Rest peacefully. Xo
Edit: Wow! Thank you all for your kind comments. I enjoyed reading them and your memories as well. May all those who have gone too soon be remembered with fondness 💗🙏🏻
Sorry for your lost
Crystal R. It feels truly sad. Memories is all we got

I'm in tears. Such a touching story
Wow! Special
The fucking 90's right here in 1 song
Tupper in one bag.
This takes me back to 1995 when I had my first 125cc dirtbike. This song would always get me pumped up to go riding. 15 years later it still works!!!! :) LOVE LIVE FACE TO FACE & MOTOCROSS!!!!!
Nice username, Stay Negative
@@MagenRaquel always! Counting down until Autumn begins💚
Hahah that's amazing. This song always gets me pumped up for riding. Man I love the 90's.
Terrafirma 2 on VHS I must have watched that video tape 100 time lol
@@Sanguine_Addiction Hell yeah, that’s badass you still ride. Same era for me, I still use this song to get stoked on my mountain bike.
I've listened to 90's skate punk and melodic punk my entire life.. and i've never heard this song and I can't believe it. This is a masterpiece of the genre, for certain.
where were you in the 90´s if you didn't know that.
@@christianobermeier7862 I was familiar with face to face, I just never took the time to listen to them.
This song got me into punk in the 90s i saw the video on MTV at like 3AM, before this I was just into metal
@@stevebanning902 🤘!
It's funny, but I thought I remembered this from like the middle 80s, and was surprised it is in fact a 90s song. Great, timeless, tune in any case.
Such an incredibly underrated track, one of the best punk songs of all time
covid 19
2020 anyone still rocking this in the car
on CD to boot
2021..
On my shuffle. Always reach for the volume when this pops up.
only when i need to cry!
Never had a car, or license,... I'm 35 yo now.
Can still be found on repeat for me. These were some fun times and years. The 90s punk rock is incomparable to what’s out there these days.
By Far Their Best song, Im 31 and have been a huge fan since 95, everytime I hear them, It takes me back to a certain place in my life. They Fuckin Rock, Hands down!!!
Yes, never gets old
+Amanda Darling What were you.. like 10 years old? Anyways, you hear Double Crossed yet? Sounds like something straight off of Don't Turn Away. Guess they're back on Fat and releasing a new album in a few weeks.
+rikky383 yep, and it's amazing!
+Amanda Darling Ayy bby hit me up girl
Ditto here, but I'm 39 next month. Still rocking out to this song.
If we only knew what we had at the time. I think we would have held on a little tighter to it. It was a great time to have been a teenager. I was so glad I was one of the lucky ones to have lived it.
Face to face, Wax and Mung was the first show I ever went to. Amazing show! Memba stage diving?
Every fucking time I introduce somebody to punk rock, I start with this song. And for good god damn reason.
Robin Wilson amen brotha
@@RAS-gn5ll Aaand I'm back to reintroduce myself...I don't know one thing about me, is there something that I should know?
Robin Wilson amen once again brotha....from California....
This song is so powerful , I love how they used lyrics from descendents, hope, in this song. "You dont know what you want, it may take you years to find out ".
I never put that together before. Almost feel like it's just a coincidence, but I kinda wanna believe this lol
@@MasterOfKnowledge.well to be fair they’re pretty big fans of the Descendents. It really wouldn’t be too surprising
A friend told me a story about practicing with his garage band at his mom's house in Stockton when a bunch of tough looking tattooed guys walked by. Normally NBD because it's Stockton. The guys stopped and listened to them for a minute. Then one of them came up and stuck out his hand. "Hey, you guys are pretty good. We're Face to Face. Can we play with you for a minute?" So they played a couple of songs with some teenagers in a garage and then went on their way. They were in town for a show. Crazy.
Amazing
Epic story mate. Up the punks
this song gets better and better every time u listen
This song is getting me through high school rn.
Good shit kid..
It did the same for me in '95
That's awesome, rock the fuck on young man
thats great to hear kids are still listening to this gem. I was in highschool in 1999 bumping this on my cd player lol
have fun with it man you'll miss it when it's gone despite it's hardships, nothing that happens in highschool matters afterward so have some fun!
I remember when I was a kid, we had a Play Station 1 demo that had a snowboard game with this song on it. and we would play it over and over again just to listen to this song. memories :(
Ya that game ruled, I think it was MTV Sports Snowboarding.
it was cool boarders 2 !!!
Loved cool boarders 2!
Pablo C. Izaguirre Artavia was definitely in MTV Sports Snowboarding, may have been in CB2 as well.
It was in MTV sports snowboarding. But cool boarders 2 was a waaayyy better game.
Omg I hate fucking nostalgia. Bittersweet hearing this beautiful fucking song again. 40 now, but I'm back in middle school when I heard it again tonight while driving to work.
Ahhhhh, goosebumps, sadness and tears w happiness all in one. Fuck, I hope when we die, we can relive all those fucking beautiful moments frozen in time. 90s forever
The first time that I ever tried to crowd-surf...

*Trust is something that comes easy when you've never been a victim. Lies and promises and words are saidl; it's your decision to accept them.*
Words to live by. Thank you Face to Face!
Purak Adhikari agreed. One of the most profound punk lyrics ever...one of the best f2f lyrics ever. However I am quite fond of "pride is a willing adversary in the struggle for ourselves" quite a lot.
20 years later and this never gets old.
31 years
This isn't only one of the most powerful punk anthems of all time but a guitar rock masterpiece as well.
A friend in grade school gave me Face To Face's debut CD in 1992 when I was in 4rth grade. After that I was instantly hooked on listening to them until eternity. Nirvana, Face To Face, Samiam, Rage Against the Machine, NOFX, Rancid, Green Day, The Offspring, 311, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, STP, Ten Foot Pole, Vandals, Bad Religion, No Use For A Name, Vandals, SNUFU, Pennywise, Hum, etc....man I miss the 90s
18 years after I first heard this, it sounds better than ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bought this CD in 1992 at Hogwild Records in San Antonio, Tx. Still listening to it. Memories....
Saw them with NUFAN at showcase in SATX in Feb-mar-apr? 1997. School night, was 16. Drove in from kerrville.
“You don’t know what you want. It may take you years to find out.”
Real talk.
Who said it first? Face to Face of the Descendants?
@@DavidTurner-gv4dk Descendents "Hope"
It's 2021.
Yes that year. Today I found this, a gift that I don't deserve but is here in full strengh and top quality.
Yes that year that I found musicians that where considered punk musicians.
These are magicians. They predicted years ahead the trends of current music today. They are way too good. It's even stupid how talented they are.
Decades later, I still love Face to Face and they killed it at the Warp tour under the Oakland Bay bridge in the late 90's
back when warp tour was awesome!
Fuck yeah! Loved when Warped was at Pier 30 &32. Every time I hear this song and / or Bro hymn, I can't help but instantly be taken back to those days.

33 here. I first heard this as a kid and recently heard it again for first time in forever on Spotify and now I'm obsessed all over again. Really takes me back
Face to face will always be in my top 10 favorite bands. Such a great band just like no use for a name and teen idols
Man. The things I’d do to have sly back.
I saw this band live in Victorville, 1996.
Sublime opened for them.
Best show ever.
I had this on Cassette and I was listen to it a lot driving home early in the morning after a crazy night out. Kept me awake.
The whole album "Don't turn away" its amazing! That album got me through high school, great songs such as "Pastel", "walk away" I can relate to the whole album while I went through it in the mid 90's! This album will always be in my top 5 of all time!

Hearing this song and I’m 19 years old again. What a great tune. It illustrates what was great about the 90’s, bcz I heard it once on the radio and bought the CD. It was my soundtrack for months. You can’t just discover a band through one song on the radio anymore.
the amount of times I've listened to this song in the last few days is unreal. discovering a new band hasnt me me feel this way in atleast 10 years. wish I could've grown up in the 90s rather than be born in 95. at least I'm not old if I were tho I guess. keep it punk - metal - hardcore
Reading your comment fills my old punk heart, I remember finding them in the 90's when I was 18 and having the same experience. I hope you have the best life good soul.
Such a great band & album that still holds up today .
bring punk o Rama back. 90s best time in rock history
Yeah motherfuckers!
listen to Oswaldo and Long Dong
I forgot about those! I used to have so many Punk O Rama discs in my collection!
76 to 94
Agree about the 1st thing; I discovered so many bands thru PunkORamas. Disagree w/ the 2nd; there’s always good music around
I'm still slapping this band and won't ever stop
I used to blast this when i lived in florida 21 years ago. Still love it today.
sad that face to face never really got as much recognition as they should have
Saw them last night and still can’t believe it
Saw them last night in Orlando. These dudes still got it!!
Still one of the best punk songs ever made. I saw them at St. Andrews in Detroit with my sister and it was so bloody awesome.
The second verse to this song is worthy of a tombstone epitaph...
I was so burned out on F2F after they kept re-releasing this song in the ‘90s, but hearing it for the first time in 25 years I gotta say, it’s still pretty brilliant.
Same! It was included on their first 3 albums and I ended up skipping past it for other songs…it’s a killer song though.
I miss the 90s but I understand life is about moving forward not backward. Thank God we can take this with us to the future and present. Thanks for uploading
Take me back to when I was 15 in 94. Aww dem daays
I was 12.
This is one of these songs that, when I first heard it on the radio, I had no idea who it was by or anything, but instantly though it kicked ass and had to track down more info about it. Even my 3 year old son likes it, we like to yell "NOOOOOOOOOOO!" on the chorus, haha. Great example of California Punk power music. Thanks for posting this video
This song never gets old.
Takes me back to the 90's when I was a kid. Awesome times .Aaaahhhhhhh! ✌
MTV Snowboarding for PS1 introduced me to this song ♥️
That reason alone is why I always associate Disconnected with snowboarding. Listening to the song while at the same hearing the sounds of a blizzard going fits too perfectly.
I remember this one from tank girl lol
so sad
lol sorry i'm alot older obviously lol
@@claytonleach3324 or possibly.. just possibly I played MTV Snowboarding before I watched Tank Girl? Sad what you deem to be sad LOL
@@claytonleach3324 this song came out when I was 2 and it's a belter but calling it hardcore is very over the top man, its hardly face melting. I would rather listen Dead Kennedys. Not all punk is hardcore and as good as face to face are they arent hardcore IMO its skate punk and just as "hardcore" as Blink 182.
Back again for a listen, despite being overplayed (and the band even said they got sick of this one) it is probably their best song
Jonny Boozewitz Without a doubt their best song.
+BodaciousWickerman Lol no chance this is their best song, seriously stupid statement guys.
+Nadav Drewe ..it's not even the best song on 'Don't Turn Away', for christ's sake, let alone the S/T...
+Jonny Boozewitz Lepa ti slika :D
Nah, the whole S/T album is basically better than 'Disconnected'.
Amazing song even in 2019. I have worked out to this song for hours and hours...So many stairs climbed.......
This song was ahead of its time crazy to think this came out 14 years ago I remember finding this song from an old zune I bought from someone.
Coughs, 30 years ago...
There may be no other song that triggers sights, sounds, smells and emotions for me.
Gives me goosebumps!
Thank you F2F for being part of my life!
Just when you think you've heard all songs that you need to hear, you discover more that you couldn't imagine living life without. I guess that's the beauty of music. Glad I found a CD of theirs at a record store.
badfella511 hope since then (or before) you have given all of f2f a listen. They only got better with age imo
@@ruthflanders4745 Do yourself a favor and get Marked men "On The Outside" or anything by them or Radioactivity. sounds like they were going for radio airplay--Im Not Afraid is way better...but they were a metal band before doing a 180 and jumping on the Warped Tour Money Train

Huge Nostalgia trip
The demo with sled storm too
I discovered this song thanks to this game
It's sad there's nothing like that today... What will make our children nostalgic in 30 years ?
Heard this song back then..didnt get it
Now my walk in Godly Faith.. This song carries a message
Even though I'm literally 13, this song gets me nostalgic of 3 months ago when I went to Texas...
I think this video brings so much nostalgic people cuz this was still kind of an innocent time. After 9-11 many things went down. And yes, Im another one remembering 1995-96, skateboarding, youth gone. I dont listen much punk stuff or noisy music now but this song is special
I saw these guys live in 1995 at the Warped Tour. Back then, the two headliners were L7 and Quicksand. No use for a name, Orange 9mm, and these guys were my favs at the show. Crazy how huge the Warped Tour has gotten now...
ATX. Yes I remember
Man this is great
Ahh yes, brings me back to riding the bus to school as a sophomore in highschool (1995), listening to this tape, lagwagon, nofx, goldfinger, coffin break and the rest of the epitaph/fat wreck catalog on my walkman.....the soundtrack to lots of crushes, awkward silences, crying over girls, playing video games and long trips......I eventually graduated to hardcore and left pop punk (and ska) behind but the memories remain.....
Lagwagon!!!!

Yeah, I've thought so too, it's a Descendants reference for sure
One of the very best pop punk bands of all time. way underrated.
Melodic hardcore*
Neal Garbenis I can't keep up. We have math metal, this and that hardcore, idk. it is melodic
+Darren Chapman I can see where you're coming from though, most people think Face To Face is pop punk. They fall more under melodic hardcore or skate punk. They're like a blend of Descendents and NOFX.
Neal Garbenis I like both of those bands a lot. Was able to see the Descendents reunion tour 20 years ago. Reunion back then obviously. I'm a writer, not a musician though I've been around bands most of my life. Learned enough to know where to find the good stuff and it's not on the radio! Not usually.
+Neal Garbenis I have always held Face to Face in the same group with the Descendents, Social Distortion, and Bad Religion. Very influential in my life as a person and a musician.
