    ugh, new to this. When I put a dxf file in RD works to cut and scan it scans the background around the shape instead of inside the shape. How can I change this?

      Is there a line around your deign sounds like you may need to ungroup it by clicking edit>ungroup you can then delete the outside like once ungrouped you can also just select the parts you want to engrave by assigning them a colour and then a different colour for what you’d like to cut hope this helps thanks, Matt

    Hey Mate,
    Just a quick one, in RD works is there material presets? With the appropriate speed and power?

    • @woodendayz
      @woodendayz  Před rokem

      Hey mate,
      I don’t think there is I know you can set them as you go so that when your setting up a job you can load certain parameters for different thicknesses of materials that you have saved but it doesn’t have them pre set I did tests and then saved each one in the library so it was easy to just select when working with that material,
      Hope this helps and thanks for watching 🤙🏽 cheers, Matt

    Hey mate, I noticed on the screen of the laser, the image was reversed. Do you know why that is?

    • @woodendayz
      @woodendayz  Před rokem

      Hey Galen, you can flip it on the controller itself but for some reason when I do it it changes the layout of my bed size as in it thinks my start pointing in the back right hand corner and not the back left so when I frame my jobs I get the x y slop warning I’m sure there is an easy fix or setting somewhere but it doesn’t bother me so I just leave it, thanks for watching!!

    Why do you have letters on your honeycomb tray?

    • @woodendayz
      @woodendayz  Před rokem +1

      Hi Jess, it’s to help with flash back if you cut on the honey comb bed when the laser hits the metal it causes flash that burns the underside of the material check out this video to see the difference
      C02 Laser Bed Raised VS Cutting on the Honeycomb!!!

    I did learn some things. But not without stopping and hit the back button. You’re going way too fast.
