    I am an electrical engineer, and I disapprove of many of these methods, including warning of the risk that this can generate. This video is a disservice to a population.

      Firefighter here who dabbles in DIY electrical work and all I could think about while watching this was every one of those techniques is a fire waiting to happen. None of those are secure and will eventually create resistance heating when under load...

      i'm able to accept thoose methods but only with soldering after twisting wires. I'm also electrical engineer.

    I have over 20 years in the electrical trade and not one of these methods would be approved by an electrical inspector. Maybe you could call it an art project... it's very creative!

      Electrically these methods are acceptable, but practically are not efficient and time consuming when doing the whole house wiring.

    The one at 2:10 is known as the western union or lineman splice and has been the standard for attaching two cables for NASA since the latter part of the 90's. So long as you solder the entire piece, it has been proven to be stronger than the rest of the cable in tension, but still provide good/low resistance electrical contact.

    Eu usaria uma luva de cobre estanhado é crimpava as duas extremidades para prender os cabos. É rápido, fácil e barato. Na obra, tempo é dinheiro.

    Good suggestions, although maybe it's too much of uncovered wires. If you have proper insulation ok, but when using only insulation tape I would prefer the usual method.

    It is a good and well done job. We in Iraq do not use such work except for a few technicians who have experience, and I do such work when I go to work when I and the owner of the house agree on such a job and the right price

    Bloody hell im an electrician and this is no way to splice wires together! You’ll get hot spots and not to mention you take too much time.

      @@piratdvd764 а при чем тут это? Провод зависит от нагрузки, данные виды соединения рассматриваются как правило как монолитное соединение без потерь а марка кабеля тут значения роли не играет

    This is a great idea for running new wires with the old ones through EMT or tight space. Besides that, the wires are stripped back too far and exposed. Not really professional when you have to insulate the expose part with electrical tape. Just save your time and use wire nuts or wago connectors, more safer as well.

    Perfectly adequate for low DC voltage ONLY. Most of these are dangerous as hell for higher voltage DC and absolutely unacceptable for AC of any voltage.

    I feel that solder makes these redundant. And if you feel like, clamp pressure to make the connection a solid copper wire (cold welding). Which is what crimping does when done correctly

      @@user-sn5oi4sh6g просто скрутки запрещены. Разрешены: пайка, опрессовка гильзами и соединения спец зажимами.
      Скрутки ушли в прошлое. Пожарные с ними сильно борются.

    Muy bueno y efectivo el método para Unir, Ensamblar o empalmar los cables en red domiciliaria. SOLO QUE NO COINCIDEN LOS COLORES.     I am electrician for more than 40 years.Those connections are made better than with wire nuts.Soldering would make them even better.Not by the NEC Code tough.

      This is the first step of a NASA splice. Like all other methods shown, it still needs to be soldered, leaving no bare copper exposed, and then covered in heat-shrink insulative coating.

    No están mal tus amarres pero considero q si no aprietas con pinzas tarde o temprano se dará calentamiento en esa conexión y por lo mismo se dará un falso.
    Ahora q si esos amarres al final los hubieras estañado entonces si que quedarían perfectos.

    2,3 и 5 скрутка хорошая, а 1и 4 скрутка они между собой похожи, но они растяжение не выдержат

      En calibres bajos Soldando solamente o usando Conectores de seguridad, una de las razones por las que la normativa electrica actual prohibe el uso de empalmes tradicionales es por la posibilidad de crear contactos deficientes y quebrar el conductor por traccion.

      Actually, these techniques are technically correct. For full completion of the joints, they could be soldered, but they need to be insulated without question before being energized.

    Скручивал 1 -м способом кабель 25 кв мм ; для контактной сварки ) только мотал не проводом , а прочной нитью и по всей длине .... всё отлично

      Сырым Бердимжаев Конечно же нет . Там очень плотно смотано и контакт хороший . Правда есть утолщение по проводу - не критически)

    Very creative but impractical or meet NFPA or NESC standards. High voltage lineman may use a couple of these splices, but for low voltages 120 240 a simple wire nut would do.

    ПУЭ 7. Правила устройства электроустановок. Издание 7 . Соединение, ответвление и оконцевание жил проводов и кабелей должны производиться при помощи опрессовки, сварки, пайки или сжимов (винтовых, болтовых и т. п.) в соответствии с действующими инструкциями, утвержденными в установленном порядке. Тем более в США вам за такое соединение зад порвут.
