Honestly we're still reeling from Genosha and holy hell is this one full of seeming fluff and goofy 70's Kirby bullshit! How engaged are with with Charles space pal-ing around with the Shi'ar! He must love the walking and the fuckin' cause this joker is just lollygaggin' around with all these gleep-glops a lil' too hard! It's fun, its whatever, we're not terribly engaged but we'll take it as respite from last week! Then we got Storm who realizes that the Adversary is just Pennywise and that her mutant powers were in the heartstrings all along! She jumps into a cave to help Forge get the magic poison out and then reclaims her own autonomy and gets the CLASSIC FLOWING WHITE LOCKS BACK!

I took it that Forge's machine worked initially, but Storm needed to regain her confidence in order to use her powers again

That's the case for a lot of people's powers. After a history of abuse, Rogue has a massive mental block that stops her from controlling her powers to their fullest, including actually turning them off.

For those that don't know, Xavier is an empath. He can feel emotions when telepathically linked. He literally felt the death of everyone and Gambit. The projection was just to illustrate he didn't talk with anyone but "felt" the death and genocide.
I was shook when they revealed that Xavier is a submissive pup!
I think that sums up the breakneck choices they made w/ this part of the story and to my opinion Storm’s sidequest: the first (5) episodes lionize the hell out of Charly X which is fine, but the dramatic staging of his role in the Sh’iar power struggles and rites of ascendency is just 8-balled right up our nostrils and it screams “this is not really the story, just where Charly was”
I think they shoulda sprung for 12 episodes total, 1 more fully written LifeDeath part 2, 1 that digs into this whole Charly’s space opera
They slipped it in so casually too. I was like “wait - did I just hear that?” 😂

The original voice actor of Gambit, Chris Potter, is the voice of Cable in 97. Whenever he shows up, I can somehow feel Gambit’s aura through Cable 😅 it sounds nuts and probably the nostalgia too of Gambit in the original series
I love how Storm's Owl Demon Adversary said the word "Pancake" b/c like... she must know what a Pancake is to use the term so now I need to know how the evil Owl learned about Pancakes. I love that it appears Storm forged her new outfit from the Black Feathers of the Owl Demon. Basically she did Shadow Work, Embraced it, Conquered it, and now wears it. DeathBird was hilarious too, such great lines, what a character.

Morgan is a psychic...that's for sure, she is smart. Another excellent n exciting episode.....so many throwbacks and easter eggs!! the dialogs was wild! it's like the comic books coming to life...this show does it well. I think the lines "they were drinking wine and making love..." was directly pulled from the comics too. LOVED the insert memes! hilarious! Storm is back in her OG outfit! Xavier is back! let the endgames begin.
It’s wild Charles in space but he still can’t escape the skepticism from the sister hating on mutants along with the rest of the Shiaar planet. & I like them spreading out these 2 parter stuff like we’re seeing everybody and there problems
I love that they brought back the 1970s goddess suit from when she first joined the X-Men. I love that suit so much. Storm always looked better in black anyway. The "say the quiet part out loud" did take me out of the episode because this is supposed to be 1997. That's too modern a phrase.

this episode should've just focused on storm in my opinion. and after watching the latest episodes the reveal of charles being alive would've been a lot more impactful.

So, funny thing, they never said they fired Beau DeMayo or why he was removed from the project so for all we know he’s working on a secret project. I’m not saying that’s what’s happening but I am saying I think people are jumping to all kinds of conclusions without any evidence
I’m pretty sure they definitely said they fired him, and from what people are whispering about, it may have been for a very good reason.

From what I hear from people behind the scenes, the writer may have been fired for a really good reason.
Looking at it from the outside, he seems to not really give any other writers or people who worked on the show any credit, and pretends like he’s the only one that worked on it.
There’s a lot of people worshipping him as a hero, but until we know why he was fired, we can’t really say anything.
I just glanced at his twitter and see him praising the work of others who worked on the show by name, and using 'we' to refer to the writing, not 'I'.

The making love part was kind of weird but I hope he meant it as they were getting along, making amends and showing appreciation for each other.
I think it was another nod to Genosha’s allegory to the Pulse Night Club Massacre: they were targeted for their sexual orientation, and in the destruction of the mutants’ sanctuary to express and celebrate all of that, Charles was horrified and shamed w/ guilt
It's pretty clear that the reason Beau got fired is because he's apparently just a PITA to work with. Both Witcher and X-Men staff have come out and said he's been emotionally and mentally abusive

If I were a student in Xavier's school and a child soldier in his army. I don't know if I could put my stock into a teacher into would willingly be someone's pet and has such poor judgment in women because his fiance is a very toxic person.

@mariebourgot4949 she wanted him to erase his memories on some if you really love me type shit. Never mind the fact that if he actually managed to do it, He would have erased the part of himself that she loved. She wanted him to forget his children and live only for her no compromises. Basically, saying that if the only way frosted me together is for you to erase your past, then so be it. And he's almost as bad because he agreed to do it.
@@jamaalellison3076 I agree with this statement, but it ommits elements like the fact that it was her sister's idea in the first place, and definitively a ploy to take the throne. And as the emperess said herself, her sister would be as bad as their brother, which would then be a tyranny and a bloodbath for the galaxy.
So we have to keep in mind that when Charles and his fiance make this decision, they have to take into account everything! Meaning their personal feelings and integrity, but also the lives and the well being of the entire galaxy.

Any threats to the throne would have been neutralized with a snap of a finger. It was a ploy for the throne.Yes, but there were moves they could have been played. They said that Xavier's mind was the most powerful. They had next to the Queen's.She could have argued that too fully intact.Mines would have been a boon for the empire.

It wasn't over a tweet. After repeated insensitive behaviour on social media she refused to attend proposed meetings to listen to affected people at Disney speak about it. Sounds like they gave her the opportunity to learn and stay and she preferred to get fired.
I feel like the only guy who doesn't like Storms costume change.
I understand she is a borderline Goddess but that black outfit just shows too much skin and looks impractical and her hair doesn't look great like that.
Her white Oufit with the Mohawk is downright perfection and if you wanted to do the Long Hair they should've copied the Storm Sprite from the Marvel Vs Capcom 2.

Its total fan service to those of us who are X-Men fanatics bc her skimpy black outfit with crown is the very first costume that Storm has ever appeared in (Giant-Sized X-Men no 1) although I understand that its not exactly her most tasteful or fashionable look in the comics. Think of it as Storm returning to her basic identity as an amazing weather goddess, i.e. Ororo Monroe in her prime
@@schildkroete I'm no prude when it comes to sexy Superhero costumes. But this outfit of Storms has never been one of my favorites of hers and gives me vibes Starfire's New 52 era Costume and the controversy surrounding that which I I know sounds weird but it just doesn't look practical to me.
I also just prefer the White Suit and Mohawk and a far better Black Suit design is her House of X/Powers of X Suit.
I like her post OZT suit with the purple sheen and her T-BOZ fade cut; perfection!!!
Her hair didn't look great with the mohawk either imo, and it looked worse paired with the white costume. Storm's hair should be long and big like a cloud. Also her costume is very much practical for *her* because she doesn't have any hang ups about nudity or her body. Xavier literally found her topless in Africa. She also looks best in all or mostly black. When she's in all white there's no contrast and it clashes way too much with her already white hair.
