Now I know why I end up fixing so many nail/screw pops
Stupid snake bite technique. Pretty sure its not to code any more.
@@samroberts8365 not sure if has been changed . Ive been using the 1/3rd method (400mm and 800mm)for about 10 years , after seeing multiple glue failures on ceilings(not my work)I decided its just not worth trusting the glue.I see glue as an added extra rather than the main fastener.
@@2321brendan its been changed mate. Ask a boral or csr rep.
4' and 8's are the go. But if i am setting my own sheeting which is 100% I screw 300 600 900 with glue.
Op000kpknnok09jik00koinklpo0000mmp000klpk00knokplnmk0p0kkl
Wouldn't that be avoidable if they simply added more screws after everything?
I remember smashing out houses like it was yesterday. Can't say I miss it much but there is a sense of achievement when finishing a job and working in a great crew like this. Only thing I noticed was the ceiling recess running along the wall with a gap will leave the edge of recess next to 55mm cornice which is a pain for setter. But this is a pro crew 100%
You guys are amazing to watch. Not too many people can work as fluidly as you guys are.
Those amateures are slow as fuck😂
I cann't stop watching this fastest and furious. It is amasing !
The ultimate cross-fit shoulder workout!
Its quarter inch. Relax
If you dare to work like this in Montreal Canada! I swear to god.... There is gonna be a brawl in the parking lot 😂 🤭 😂
these guys are quick on Max.parabens
Good to see you glue and screw, the "cowboy" that did my house just screwed(literally" and we have a few joint cracks and screw pops showing now.
Wow fast. A couple questions. Why do you use the conventional fixing SASSAS vs 1/3rd fixing SASASAS. Is it just speed like the double screw in centres is quicker. I see you used a couple with just screws too not adhesive.
Love the back blocks in the ceiling along the taper, we don't do that much here in NZ, we do it on a floating but join and we try to make it a taper with some timber and packers. great idea with the stick glue that's something I should have done years ago. fantastic job.
Best to use is Yellow plastic stick for mixing the paint but use hand side easy to put on and clean up or just wrap some plastic to use afterwards;!
Nice work!
I myself am a german constructionworker, and the only think I can say is........ I LOVE YOUR WORK!
Thanks
Like the team work
Good team... 👍😎
Hey, Awesome work guys. What's the name of the step stools you're using? Can't find them anywhere. Thanks
Get them at Bunnings, they're called Gorilla step also at Blackwoods, they're also called a "safety step"
Thanks for answering that🍻
Good work guys nice and unison how a team should be... Good job...
How do you call those yellow things you step on them? And where can i find them online?
Guys you are so freaking FAST and PERFECT at the same time. there is no waste time what so ever. Respect!
Thanks man. Yeah pretty efficient. This is the Australian way
Does boss man in white head always go hard or just for the vid
i love the way these doing these using one love God bless all 🙌🙌🙌
Dang so boss the way you use the tape measure as a guide to cut your board with the cutter, ive been cut way too many times with a box cutter before cant imagine how you do it
Wish we could use your drywall boards in the U.K. they look so much easier to cut and hang than the gypsum plasterboard we use! Our board material we have to score with Stanley knife snap it like you but then cut the other side to actually get the cut off. Then rasp the cut edge smooth. Plus if the board is slight damp from the cold they are a nightmare to get a good clean cut edge🙄. Nice to see you use the same screw guns though they are a god send💪😁
I love this job
i think the guy with orange jacket needs to check the drive bits of his gun
Nice team work guys . Before I die I wish I see the drywallees in my area pull out a screwdriver to make sure screws are tie in properly . Lol I guess I'll die and that'll never happen .😭😭😭
I always use my speed square and go over the sheet make sure theres no clickers
Are those boards 4x16 i haven't seen those yet here
Fun fact: You can tell how far into their apprenticeship an Aussie tradie is by their sleeve tattoos. They get a quarter sleeve for each year. Two full sleeves is a gun plasterer.
Solid work. Excellent hustle. Great teamwork. Another good video. Thank guys
Our pleasure! thanks for watching please subscribe to my channel. check our recent videos
excelente trabajo .... saludos desde chile ...
What are they putting in between the studs before they put the sheet up I’ve never seen that done before ??
gprock off cut with back blocking mud that give a solid ceiling.
What does the in between drywall wall do don't get it
Good system
When do you need control joints? Im guessing just normal tape and mud as normal?
Iscilik super...bravo
How long are those freekin sheets? They look longer than 12. Maybe looks longer on the screen?
I feel like I'm watching some bees building a hive. True definition of teamwork, just wow!
Glad you liked the video
Whats the little piece of drywall they're putting on top of the sheets for?
That is back blocking. It holds the sheets joints together and flat.
Maxkil do you use glue on the rest of the ceiling joists. I don’t see enough screws
What do you guys use max for your ceilings throughout your house and garage and is any of it fire rated
Hey mate, no not fire rated unless it backs on to another dwelling
What is that board you are putting between the joints of the sheets? I can't see any glue on it, so how that work? thanks a lot and great work fellas!
They are battering it up with a notched trowel and using cornice adhesive.
insulation looks good?
Whats the name for the blue glue that you put on the timber before the drywall goes on?
Stud adhesive. Thanks Conor
conor finn,
This is specifically the product I believe they are using.
stockwells.net/premium-bond-stud-adhesive-5-2kg/
Thanks David.. that's it
Thanks for the info.
is there a reason you put so many screws into the butt joints?
Please explain to me why they're leaving huge gaps on the top aangles
This is incredibly relaxing to watch.
I was trying to look up videos to see how thick the ceiling is because we have a rat problem and I'm scared one is going to fall on my face while I'm sleeping, but I came across these fellow Aussies and was able to just chill for a minute.
I'm not excited about the thickness of the ceiling though... 🐀
Great job boys. Are you required to put moisture gaurd board in bathrooms there?
Yeah they are, there is is a type of plasterboard that is water resistant and there is also a cement sheeting that can be used.
Thanks for answering that
Would love to see how they cut recess light holes, and outlets on bad framing.
Still fast.
Probably still with a router.
In Australia we let the electrician's worry about that 🤣
Simple they dont
We in the US use a 5/8 thick drywall for all of our singing work and fire rated for garage work
What is the blue stuff that ya'll put on the studs
Glue
Why the big gaps between the top plate and the edge of the gib?.
There's no good reason to have it tight.
It gets covered with a plaster crown 90mm out 90mm down.
Same material as the drywall.
Don't do that in America though
I want that self feeding screw gun!
Great team , worth their wages ,
Great works 👍🏾💯
Thanks Peter, we really appreciate you coming and watching.
Enjoy your day and please subscribe and say hi again
10:34 What is the product name of the yellow chair? plz
Gorilla step from Bunnings
What kind of screw gun do you guys use?
Juan Aguayo makita bro
What are those tiles for that he puts up?
They are covered with drywall compound. As it drys, it shrinks and pulls the two edges between the rafters tight together.
Kind of looks like ice Poseidon in the blue at a glance at some angles. (And then orange)
funny, maybe a little
where can i buy those yellow stools (taburetes)
bunnings warehouse
What is the name of the tool belt that I use
Studded black leather?
What’s the glue can you get it in England
its called stud adhesive
What is a paste putting on studs?
hi, thats stud adhesive
What is a control joint
Joining buts on timber’s is that quality
Watching this so I can learn how to do this with my partner to renovate parents garage into a studio so we can stay there 😜. Super expensive for us students to pay someone yet. Good job though.
What state do u live in it it legal to build a studio in a garage ie would like to do the same
Jose Garcia yep in New Zealand we can do that as far as I know and most of the time you don’t need consent to if you follow the correct building regulations. It must be habitable. I want to put Gibs up on the ceiling and walls. Have carpet on the floor. Lightings etc. maybe you could find out if in your state that can be done. I’m not in the USA so I am not sure.
@@MsJerkinbabe what type of Gib board you using? Cause if it's noisline 16mm or 19mm then it's gonna be quite difficult for a first timer.
Philippians 4:13 I am not sure yet. The plan is to do this in December. Do you think it’s very hard for me to be able to do this? Should I just save more to get someone to do it. It’s a double garage
It shouldn't be too expensive... If I was there I would do for you
drywall sheet its 12 f long , looks longer?
Yeah Gilberto they come in 18ft sheets down in Australia... Thanks for watching
Maxkil are they 5/8?
Why so many screws? Cause it’s a longer 10-12ft piece?
I'm surprised adhesive is being used. What about the movement of the studs and beams from heat and cold? Wouldn't the sheets crack?
It didn't look like it was spread out, and was about as local and isolated as the screw themselves. Some adhesives are more flexible than metal anyways. Seems more like something to tack onto, and might prevent sagging?
@@trentwood1449 the glue is stronger than screws, more glue the less screws you use, usually 4 dobs a stud on 1200mm sheet with screw in the recess and 2 in the guts
Ive been hanging drywall for 25 yrs now in ohio. What's the point of putting the scrap between the rafters?
This is required by Australian standards 2589 /2007. basically and ceiling with 3 or more joints require it. helps with sheets compressing together (joints peaking)or separating (joints cracking)when framework expands/contracts
How in the world are you screwing into the back blocks without them moving out of place. I mean I would have to hold them in place at least for the first screw.
Watch at 7:00 they are glued.
Paid piece work, you get what square footage you put up. Great work ethic.
Hey, what are these little pads for?
Hugo Sanchez it’s called “back blocking” it gives support to the joints that will have tape and plaster
@@jamesnicholls1180 how exactly it will give support?
Юрий Бадардинов it has some sort of glue or mud on it.
@@jamesnicholls1180 thx
Daam this video is awesome. 29 haters who wish they could hang drywall that fast
What is the blue thing? Glue?
I like those little yellow steps. Shit, that's all you really need with a 8ft cieling. All along I've been using tWo - 3 Ft benches. Those make it look alot easier. And for years I thought to myself, "there's gotta be a better way." It took watching this video to use a frikin little walk up step. Strange how we can be conditioned to hang a certain way and stick with it because it is the "right" way, and think, "this is the best way because I've always done it this way.
What is that blue stuff prior to install?
thats called stud adhesive

how long are those sheets they look 20 feet long lol
Hey Marshall our sheets come at 18feet.. less butt joint
Where im can find those yellow steps?
so many people ask that. hehe. They are in our hardware stores, not sure if they in america. I'm sorry i don't even know the name of them
Like your job video by the way.
Im learn some tricks by it.
Google "Gorilla safety step"
Is this a “what not to do” video ?
lol, yeah. what not to do if your outside Australia
@@Maxkil Why are your butt joints on the joists? Level 4 finish?
Nathaniel Lugo stop telling them lies they suck and it’s all fucked up how do I know ? Southern western regional carpenters union bitches .
loser
Why so many screws? And why the little rips in between the trusses?
Oh y'all are from a different country 😂 those self fed guns don't seem to be paying off 😂 I can screw faster with my corded dewalt 🤣and don't have to fix clickers
And what's the weird blue shit on the stick?
Who insulated and back blocked it
Kokain, amfetamin? 😉
Invest in a couple drywall horses. Makes lidding much easier
Yeah for sure.. I agree mate. 👍
Great job they got to have French blood from Quebec Canadian in them!!!
Do you have to back block all joints?
Hi Mark. Great question. Only in rooms where there are 3 or more joints. So most bedrooms here are 3 sheets wide and only 2 joints so they don't need them. Thanks for watching. Appreciate you
Hell no
In Los Angeles if the screws is out they just hit with the hammer
What is the purpose of back blocking?
backblocking holds the sheets together and stays nice and flat
Bravo ragazzo
Donde. Esta el. Relleno acustico
Show coisa linda de se ver
What's the reasoning behind putting the boards with glue In between the nailer? IS it simply for anti sag? I'm a drywaller in Vernont USA and I've never seen anyone locally do this and our weather here is....well, we get hot and bitter cold and our joints/butts don't Crack. Yet I see CZcamsrs do this
How is this quick? Just get some benchs no need to stretch putting on glue and needing all the steps. Also should be floating joints with stitching battens not joining on joists.
Is quick because shortcuts.
Why so many screws on Joints? Is keep from Cracking.
You drywall break like feathers! Our Georgia Pacific or other drywall never was that easy to break you don’t even have dust? What kind of drywall are you guys using?
1/4 inch
Where do you get those yellow stepping stools from?
yellow stepping stools shop.
the yellow stepping stool store
Amazon ebay
All I see is bad screw pattern and hangers and crappy backing because they didn’t want to do the work and install the proper Framing
Nathaniel Lugo yes I’m so slow me and my 52$ hour wages time and a half on Saturdays and my double time for Sunday’s yes I’m sure union pays me this because I am slow
@@ImRolon are you flexing how much you make?pathetic

Would love to work with these guy , I need a job boys.
Cielos sin cajas de luces,,,easy!!!
Watch the video upside down 😂
Bloody hell then their laying a floor, badly but FairPlay that looks awesome 😂😂
The biggest issue s is with that steel tracks 20:00min,around timbers especially on the angles they supposed to be inways, and the mainholes not fitted in sizes properly;!the electrical cables supposed to be more up,the big metal eletrical box always 3-5mm in the gyprock way must be inside;!and only sometimes we pulling the ceilings leads out of the ceilings should be electrician job;!
