- After many requests and a bit of time, I figured out how I wanted to share my tale of my time before joining EMMURE, and the early few years in this multi-part series of stories. This was all done first take with no script! Sit back and hear how it all started! 🎶🥂

Emmure should be praised for sticking their guns to their “ chug “ sound. I remember them getting alot of hate earlier on, but they managed to prove how impactful and lasting grooves and its not all about flashy stuff inorder to call itself a riff.

Emmure is literally the combination of everything great Jesse just mentioned, including the addition of Jesse, tuning low, Meshuggah, Pantera, death metal, all of my favorite things, moshing..etc
This is why they've always been one of my favourite bands. They combined all the cool bits of different bands and subgenres that I liked. Groove metal, nu metal, deathcore, Deftones etc

Love hearing this story, man. Goodbye to the Gallows was definitely a musical plateau for me. There were a few bands that I had to kind... grow into. Shit that was "too heavy" at first: Tool, Korn, Overcome, Slipknot, Killswitch Engage... You guys were the first real death metal-influenced band that I absolutely loved, and Emmure is the main reason I ever got into the music I listen to now.

Hey! I totally met you in South Haven IN at a festival like thing you guys headlined! I actually really loved you guys growing up and kinda would just go to your shows if I ever got the opportunity.
