Justin Timberlake Charged With Drink Driving In New York

Justin Timberlake has been charged with driving while intoxicated in New York. The pop star and actor was arrested early Tuesday in Sag Harbor and was released without bail after a brief hearing at the village courthouse, according to the Suffolk County district attorney’s office. Sag Harbor police reported that Timberlake ran a stop sign in his 2025 BMW, drifted out of his lane, and was pulled over by an officer who found him to be "in an intoxicated condition".
Meanwhile, doctors are urging England to slash its drink-driving limit to the equivalent of a small glass of wine or beer, backed by several medical and road safety groups. Currently, the limit stands at 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood, one of Europe's highest, dating back to 1967. The British Medical Association (BMA) plans to push the next government to cut the limit nearly in half for most drivers to 50mg per 100ml of blood, or 0.05%. For new and commercial drivers, they propose a stricter limit of 20mg. The BMA highlighted that alcohol and drug-related deaths hit a record high in 2021 and 2022, according to their statement on Monday.
