Hello Michael and thanks for your posts. I agree. Those steel tubes Colnago are not only works of art but they are also wonderful bike to ride. Cheers.
Are the seatstays on your Master frame brazed onto the seat tube lug or is it the plugged in version? Colnago seemed to change the design of the construction of the Master frames every couple of years, but you need a keen eye to notice those things.
Hello Craig and thanks for you message. I went with a Campagnolo Centaur 11 speed groupset. I think it matches the overall look and Italian DNA of the bike quite nicely in addition to being smooth and crisp. This is my first Campagnolo groupset and I am very pleased with it. It also has a nice quality feel. You will enjoy this bike. Let me know how you decide to get it spec’d.
@@ClassicCyclingCC I ended up moving away from silver, to campag record. I am building some silver hub Ambrosio wheels, and silver stem, handlebars and seatpost so hopefully it comes together.
Hello Michael. I was actually surprise by how stiff my Colnago Arabesque is compared to my other vintage frames. I am sure it has a lot to do with the star tubing.
One of, if not the best looking bikes ever built.
My dream bike! The workmanship is just superb!
It is a beautiful bike to both look at and to ride. Thanks for your post and cheers.
Gorgeous bike. I wish I owned one. Very happy that I own a Word Perfect Colnago Masterlight. From 1990 and it's in pristine condition.

Order placed! 10 weeks until I get this bad boy in my hands. Thanks for the walk through. Any suggestions on a groupset to match the frame?

@@ej5435 ended up getting Rosso red. White looks great but if I'm buying an Italian beauty, she should be firey.

@@ClassicCyclingCC Colnago tells me it's another 6 months for the frame so expect a few photos from Hong Kong in February!
Fucking beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
Lol. Thanks Gabriel!
Please refrain from using profanity. But I have to agree with you that this bike is fucking beautiful. LOL
The star shaped tubing was to make the lateral stiffness stiffer.
