Hello everyone, do you remember this beautiful Colnago super that was previously ridden with campagnolo record 10 v. As it is my bike to ride every weekend, I have indulged myself and mounted the spectacular red-letter campagnolo super record 11. Quite a joy to be able to enjoy this group that, at the same time as beautiful, is mechanically the best I have ever tasted in my life.

Hola a todos, recordais esta preciosa Colnago super que anteriormente, fue montado con campagnolo record 10 v. Al ser mi bicicleta para rodar todos los fines de semana, me he dado un capricho y le he montado el espectacular campagnolo super record 11 de letra roja. Toda una gozada poder disfrutar de este grupo que a la vez de bonito es mecanicamente lo mejor que he probado en mi vida.

No modern carbon fiber frameset can compare esthetically to a vintage Italian steel frameset, IMO. I've always felt that the beauty of a bicycle is as important as its performance. I was never a racer and always rode alone and when I took a break l liked to sit and look at the bike and appreciate the mathematical purity of the design, the way the colors of the paint and alloy complemented each other. The Trek and I are older now and showing our ages. The paint on the Ishiwata 022 frame has lost a bit of its shine just as my cheeks no longer glow as they did when I was that age. Still, I pause from time to time to run my fingers over the Arabesque details of the Shimano 600 components and sit and remember.

Bastion is an exception to this rule, their carbon/titanium frame are amazing and resembles vintage frames a bit, but also being modern
It's apples and oranges. I have a vintage Colnago with modern components, a C40 HP carbon, and a modern carbon Orbea. Each has its points for beauty. It's hard to top the new Colnago C68, which is stunning.

*Looked at a lot of options for getting my **Latest.Bike** . Great find in SAVA. Super light, nice components, really good value as it comes with many options only found in much higher priced bikes.*
I didn't live in this era (I'm 21) but in a world full of tarmac SL7, trek Madone, Canyon and so on, it's so satisfying to see such a beautiful classic bike with a touch of modern, I don't like the newer ones but colnago surely did perfect bikes back in the day. No wonder, Italian bikes and components are the best.
I'm planning on building a Bianchi oltre XR4 all with campagnolo, groupset and wheels. The newest version though, it's quite hard to find vintage bikes around here
I can say from my own experience, that for me it is an honor to ride this bike every weekend and overtake people with carbon bikes. Let them stare at me and this is where it goes with that hahah. Love it!!! ; )

Beautiful video. Careful build and nice music to accompany. Very relaxing to listen to and look at while I am working. I own two Masters. One from 1994 with full Chorus 9 speed and the other full Record 9 speed. I enjoy them both very much.

I had my Colnago Master frame, that I bought at the 2018 L'Eroica in Gaiole - Saronni red - built up nearly the the same way. SUPER RECORD mecanical 12 speed. Twin Bikes.
However, I do understand those who claim that a traditional vintage steel frame requires matching classical components. A good friend of mine, a bike purist, will keep blaming me for this mishap for the Rest of our lives...

I also understand purist people. but surely your friend has it hanging or in a storage room and you take it out every weekend. for me the bicycles, without bicycles when they roll on the road. Not when they're hanging in a garage. although I also have bicycles hanging. I like nothing more than going with my colnago super every weekend ; )

Gosto bastante. Este período da Campagnolo tem os grupos mais clássicos mas mantendo a modernidade é uma pena que tenham passado aos pedaleiros de 4 braços mas não se pode ter sempre tudo.
Já esperimentaste montar as fitas do guiador "à Italiana"? Montadas de cima para baixo sem levar fita adesiva à vista.
A minha Master X Ligth vai ser mimada agora para o Natal com um grupo Chorus de 12 e estou ansioso que cheguem para os montar.

Una pregunta, ¿pasas el macho en el pedalier para repasar la rosca o para cambiarla? Porque, imagino que siendo una Colnago antigua el pedalier debe llevar rosca italiana.
