hey mate. Try to go for more deadwood. The grain on them is even better as on fresh wood. In addition to that you dont kill or injure any trees. Its a win win and you spare time, because deadwood is dry, freshwood needs to dry a long time
Look up the word “pruning”. Then tell me if it injures a tree.
@@eseymour355 of course it does not kill a tree instantly or something like that. But a deadwood fork is still better than a fresh one. Never the less if you saw off a branch it causes the tree work to seal up the wound and so on. Every branch less on a tree means there are less leaves for Photosynthese, so the tree reveives less nutrition for growing.
Yes, I agree. Deadwood is definitely better and you don’t have to wait for them to dry. I was having a lot of trouble with the dead ones and they where all rotting and filled with bugs. I didn’t put it in the video but I cut about 4 nice dead ones and they all had bugs in them. I’ll try harder to get the dead ones from now on 👍.
Atentamente Jorge.
Keep up the great work, I love watching your videos.

How long do you leave the green wood to dry before you start using it?
It’s depends on how thick and the climate you live in, for me I leave them for at least a few months
