I'm 32 years old and just bought a board because of you. I could never ollie back in the day. I just want to land a rolling ollie, pop shovit, and kick flip before I croak. Peace and love bro and thanks for all the content!
I'm 33 and I'm the exact same position, although I haven't actually bought the board yet. Scared to make a total fool of myself outside trying to land a rolling ollie.
@@HavasiP I have a storage unit for tools and stuff, I have been going there to skate. Nobody else around :). Finally landed my first ollie!
@@TheGonzo458 Sweet! Hope you'll nail the kick flip next!
@@HavasiP Can't embarass yourself if you don't try. Give it a go, there's no harm in trying anything
I'm 48 just used cruise about, couldn't even ollie, my aim, ollie, pop shuvit, heel flip, hopefully without ending up in hosi🤣
I’m sorry but this whole series deserves to be Trending Globally
Vern's Hobbies you’re lucky you apologized in advance, otherwise you’d be in trouble
Why are you sorry
100%
@Teh Modest Mouse don't whine, kid
Teh Modest Mouse
Yeah it’s a really really easytruck otherwise, shame on you jo
The final banger of this Mullen series needs to be the casper slide 360 flip out "that's like the hardest trick i've ever done" ' -Rodney Mullen
I hope the legend himself is watching these videos with tears of joy. Rodney needs to make an appearance in one of these!
Really like how he doesn’t start freaking out and stomping his board when it takes awhile to land a trick. Never seems to get frustrated, Always a smile on his face doing what he loves. Johnny Giger in his prime.
The way Jonny learns things is so inspiring
Like practice
The way he perseveres through it until he lands it PERFECT is inspiring to me
i would love to see a session of you and Rodney skating together
We NEED this
Yes this needs to happen.
Rodney vs Deawon vs Giger definitely needs to be, someone start a kickstarter
Yeah! Rodney in the flesh would be the ultimate!
Matthew Mckinnon watch round 3 dude
We need to get the man the myth the legend rodney mullen himself in one of these videos
Seeing the dudes get hyped for you is probably one of my favorite parts of this video.
Lmao same
As great a skater Jonny is, the only thing I admire more, is his ability to teleport, it is flawless!
Sick. I thought the one where he kind of tic tac'd away looked better, both sick.
Nice :) I'm enjoying this series so much!
It would be so cool if you get to meet him one day :D
This ^
Ok so how is this so difficult? Let's get Rodney and Jonny to meet and ride together!
I mean come on, the internet had done much more difficult tasks.
Let's make this happen.
A whole list of videos; interview, top 5 favorite tricks each, teaching a trick to each other, flatground masterclass, J taking R to his favorite spots and vice versa
daniel Goad “each teaching a trick to eachother”, pretty sure there’s nothing that Johnny can show Rodney that he didn’t already invent
@@dngrouscrgo ok, so Rodney teaches him two tricks instead.
@@dngrouscrgo Rodney doing a higher flip or an alpha or sigma flip would be sick
This was always one of my favourite tricks to watch from rodney, looks "simple" but so elegant.
You should do a session with oldies but goldies; middle aged people getting back on the board. It's like there's a thing going on these days that people are returning to the decks after 15-30 years... in the late 30's and up to the 50s(!). It's quite cool and I myself have considered getting a new board and get back on it in the age of 40. Ollie and kickflip in the early 90s was my friend but never went further. So guess it's all over from now - some 20+ kg later. Wish me luck ;) Keep up the great work. Lovely videos! And big shouts to Rodney .. always. Such a humble legend and most inspirational person on earth imo. So happy he keeps do what he loves most and share it with all of us.
Please don´t dark slide that beautiful grip. It will break my heart. 💔
Love nollie pressure hardflips - I feel like you had so much rotation could've aimed for 360 out
Cant tell you how much I appreciate you landing it so many times sketchy and still going for the smooth landing. So many videos on youtube have this grand title of a crazy trick that is technically landed but super sketchy. You have the determination to land it over and over again but not call it complete until it's a smooth finish. So much respect dude. Keep killing it brother!!
You have to love this guy's commitment! He shows us that getting good takes a lot of practice. All power to you, Jonny!
me: "why is this guy hogging the ledge?"
them: "hes trying a front krook pressure hardflip out
me, with security outfit: "okay, lets keep this area clear for the talent please, yall"
Hahahah, you're killing me man 😂
Ha!!!!
True though. I doubt he was hogging it all day. Maybe just a few hours in the day but man he is trying something special so stay out of his way and just enjoy the show.
@@Mr.M1STER when people try to do bullshit like that i always sit down and watch them for an hour or so. Fucking insane to see something like that live
Puts into perspective how far Rodney was ahead of his time.
skateboarding is so tech and gnarly know days and dudes still can’t replicate his tricks…respect to you mr giger.
The myth, the legend, The giger!
I always watch these, worrying he couldnt land it, but then I remember. This is Jonny Giger, hes amazing lol
Rodney Mullen is my fav skaters of all time. that's why i love Jonny cause he reminds me of the goat!
The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is the little bit of extra. Thank you for all you do for skateboarding!
I remember seeing that trick as a kid, Mullen is always remembered for his flat ground work (and rightly so) but when he skated street...it was like watching a Jazz musician decide to start playing metal...but he was better than all the other metal bands too haha
Giger is legend, his dedication to landing these tricks us insane. Respect!
Love the whole footage! It shows the progression and most people will learn from that! Always hyped to see you finish a trick it sends a HUGE message to the people that follow you brought!
been waiting for this one since the day you started this series!
Almost had double flips going for him aswell
Jonny Giger videos never fail to make me happy :)
Thank you Jonny!
Your front crooks look amazing, so glad you decided to learn it!
31 years old, and I will be buying a board after several years of not skating, because of you Jonny. Keep it up!
Thanks man! stoked to hear you're getting back on the board :)
Thanks man! I am actually looking forward to it, I need to do something physical, but going to the gym just isn't as fun, lol.
I really like how organized you are and your process for learning. You break things down very well.
most people couldnt do it in 100 days but, very nice to see the struggle. what a payoff. i love this series. keep it going!
Great content man. I’m glad to see somebody who can breakdown and show the true genius of Rodney’s skating, and how truly hard it is.
Happy people are supporting him and cheering him in
One of my favourite 'impossibly tricks" episodes.
Such a cool looking trick. Well done.
Love your videos jonny, your persistence and humbleness equal greatness. Never give up brother...you inspire me 😎 got my deck last week and set it up with my grip tape, looking forward to completing it and finally getting to skating again. Thanks for the encouragement.
I’m proud of you famm. Absolutely love this series. Been a fan of Mullen since I was about five. Keep it up. I’ll be along for the ride.
Johnny is the best skater on CZcams hands down
Johnny I don't even know what it is but not only are your videos very entertaining ... For some reason I find them to be relaxing. I love after a hectic day a little Johnny G 😍 I have pretty much watched all of your videos so if there is nothing new I just watch a bunch anyhow because I need a shot of Johnny every day.
Such a treat to see you do all these things Jonny. Keep rockin dude, you're keeping skateboarding fun.
Rodney Mullen is so ridiculously incredible. Dude invented so much
Want investors of street skating look up Natas and Gonz.
looove this format, and chill vibe.
very relaxing to watch. thanks!
I'm sure Rodney watches and laughs then says good my friend...good job
I don't even skate at all but I just love these videos lol.
same here, I skated 97-2002. ....then in 2019 I suddenly find myself watching skate videos again. Giger is my favorite, followed by Braille Army.
You should start skating it’s fun
Same here
Incredible documentation of the perseverance it takes to do ONE Rodney Mullen trick.
Mullen was my favorite skater to watch as a young kid, such a dope series cheers bro your dedication is inspiring!
I was hoping, you'd try this one, since you started this series! Respect!
The last impossible ledge trick was hella clean!
Really nice editing and choice of music!
I would be happy just learning how to crook.. Amazing trick Jonny!
This was dope Jonny! Really enjoyed the video and that build up into how proper you ended up getting the trick. Been a fan of those pressure variations out grinds ever since Daewon vs Rodney. Keep killing it!!!
Sweet one...
You could go for doubble hard flip out and for hard flip bs revert out aswell...
Nice. I think you've done most of my favorite Rodney Mullen tricks. 👍
Well done Jonny sick trick with a picturesque view of the mountain in the background.
watching the reaction of the guys in the back at the end of the first day made this trick that much better!
Yo Jonny you've got mad respect from everyone that skates I've shown you too. Good shit. Love that you're breaking down all these gonzo Mullen moves. Keep going.
SOOO Awesome Jonny!! Up and coming LEGEND HERE!!!! Great stuff brother!!!🤘🤘🤘
That skatepark is gorgeous!
Génial Jonny Thanks so much
Imagine skating a park with such picturesque views, whoa.
That board is gorgeous!
I am very proud of Jonny
I got exhausted just watching , brilliant trick and an epic battle, fantastic 💪🏻👍
Great commitment man! Also, awesome mountain view in the background 🤩
Another absolutely incredible trick in the books 🙌
Well done Jonny!!! Beautiful (Y)
I started skating in the era of public domain. We were street skaters, and saw mullen's freestyle as so far beyond streetstyle. We never could have imagined what skating would become, yet Mullens remains a god.
That was awesome Jonny, congrats bro!! 🤘
Your parks have the dopest backgrounds of all time! Rockys are nice!
Loving your videos dude keep them coming!
Another great video, thanks Jonny.
I just like the fact that he never gives up on tricks with skateboarding and that inspires me to do a lot more with skateboarding keep up the good work Jonny Giger and i subscribed and hit the bell icon LIFE LESSON NEVER GIVE UP AND KEEP TRYING
awesome your front crooks looks amazing, im gonna use that front toe tip. thanks Jonh Hill. and Giger
This looked so hard, I mean to the point where it seems like it was so little differences that got you the land compared to not. More than many other tricks I've seen you do. Props man, this was sick.
So awesome Jonny! Best skater in my book man
This is true dedication.
Very well done Jonny. I have the Globe video and that’s such a memorable trick in it. I’m glad you got it. Incredible stuff.
Nice commitment man! Love your videos!
This is why us skateboarders are a different breed. We can spend days if not years trying to learn a trick. Skateboarding taught me a lot of important life skills. Like motivation and never giving up ona goal. I don't know what my life would be without 20 years of riding a popsicle stick around.
Amazing Jonny!
Your best deck so far Jonny
Super well done!!!
I laughed so hard when you fell perfectly into centre shot! "Hi."
I’m thinking Anthony Anderson takes the cake with his version of this trick! But INSANE shedding as alway Jonny Giger✨✨✨✨👏👏👏👏👏👏
Hail from Brazil. I miss my board and ur videos are pushing me back to skating. Rodney Mullen is the best of all time for me and when I see ur videos doing his tricks just makes me want to go and buy a sk8 and try those tricks now! Hahha. Gr8 video btw. The last attempt was astonishing! /,,/
Sooo good!!! Thanks Jonny.
Bro you are straight killing it!
Love your dedication and the Avatar grip-tape is absolutely sick
Man I'm so amazed by how good you are doing rodney's stuff is so incredible its amazing skaters totally understand you have to fall many many times to do things on a high level the idea should be applied to life watching you fall and get up to accomplish the task should be reached in school
I love your drive man! So much heart!!!
Dude that was so rad!
Dude seriously..just thank you!!
Insane!!! You were pretty close to a double in there once! Absolute beast!
Amazing Jonny 👍
Fantastic!
Epic battle dude!
Front crooks are hard, but damn they look so awesome.
Oh Giger, you the man!
That was insane!!!!!
That was so sick switch man!
