ive never been a Korean car fan, but im blown away
It's like seeing Japanese car growing at 70-80s. They were cheap brand and everyone was looking down Japanese cars but now everybody think Japanese sports car is legend. I cannot imagine how Korean cars be in 2050
2 laps of the Nürburgring full attack without tuning
I did a pre drive inspection on one of these few weeks ago. What a fucking insane experience, it's 86,000$ Canadian.
Now I can consider buying an electric car. Good job Hyundai👌🏾
Exactly what I was thinking but I’ll take you one further.
This is the 1st reasonably priced EV Drivers Car!
The model 3 performance is as well @@georgevigil7001
was going to get a model 3 performance, but wow might be worth saving a bit more for this!
I got a Nissan Leaf in 2020 my 1st EV , I also was considering upgrading to a Tesla. Now I want this car for sure 💯🖤💯
that sonic boom is AMAZING! not gonna lie it sounds so funny!
its kinda epic haha
@@VehicleVirginsdoes the car brake between “booms”? It looks like it’s really shifting gears and there was a bounce when you shifted.
much better than ANY telsa
Hyundai did a great job! Giving some kind of a soul verses the other electrics!
The shifter is bad ass.
These guys have not only mastered the CVT in making it feel like a traditional auto, but now made an actually fun looking EV
Equipped with the best existing NCM 9/0.5/0.5 lithium-ion batteries, it is different from low-cost Chinese batteries in energy efficiency and thermal management
Really Amazing that such a car actually was made and is available to the public! Gotta give Hyundai credit for making it happen.
The futuristic headlights when they’re on is probably one of my favorite aesthetic features of the ioniq 5 n
If driven conservatively, 5N's range is around 270 miles. Not the best, but not bad.
Better than what's advertised.
You can also Hold Onto The Left Paddle and have 0 Regen and it will slowdown like if you were pressing the brake Pad! I have an Ioniq 5
Vehicle Virgins Awesome POV Drive Review I think it's awesome that Hyundai made the Ionia 5 Ns with so much soul and I think it would be cool to see one on the channel
$66,000 TO START.......THAT’S MORE THAN I CAN SPEND ON A CAR.....BUT I will see if I could come up with a few bucks. Thanks for the video.
But how much have you spent on gas in your life
Welcome to the unaffordable era.
With E-MPG around $1.50 maybe you can afford it?
@@TheOfficial_AWexactly! See my comment 😉
Wait a year, it'll be 35k dollar. The ev6 gt (kias version); plummeted so bad.
I'm so glad we got the old Parker back. This is the stuff I missed.
Dud i just wanted to say that i subscribed to you way back to just after your first video of you reviewing your moms minivan. There was a time where you went full Vlogger and it wasnt my cup of tea, but now you are hitting a perfect niche once again man.
Thanks for coming back! That minivan review is as OG as it gets!
This is soooo coool!
Game changer🎉
I’m so done with this. I’m breaking out the 88 Supra and putting race fuel in it today.
There's race fuel on Gran Turismo?
I use my front trunk a lot. It’s great actually
I wish this car had a front trunk too
I kinda knew hyundai someday would ramp up their ev game with a sports car. Now, shiftable simulated gears? Fck yeah amazing!!🎉
What watch are you wearing?
Trust me, it's just a matter of time before the modders code out the limiter in this new Hyundai unlocking an unimaginable amount of power.
it's so much better than anything else in the price range for performance and versatility.
actually the front reminds me of my Alfa Romeo SZ...probably you need to own one to get a glimpse of that similarity :)
Awesome car 🚗 👌
Would love to see a roll between the ioniq 5 n and the eray
How does the 4861-lb curb weight feel? Seems like these little tires are gonna be under extreme load to keep that from sliding right off the track. How wide are the wheels?
At $68k these are the questions
275 wide isn't exactly narrow. It's far better sorted then any other EV for track driving, but if you really intend to make this a track car, of course it will still benefit from further track mods, just like any other performance car, GT3RS excepted perhaps (and Manthey Racing is till making their improved track version for good measure anyway)
From other reviewers, the chassis is designed well enough that it not only handles the weight well, but has the sports car characteristic of "shrinking" around you.
@@onehorsepower You mean track SUV. It's a lowered crossover SUV. It has a longer wheelbase than my Stelvio Quadrifoglio by 7", and the Stelvio isn't a small crossover. Ioniq 5 N is 186" x 76" x 62". That's bigger but slightly lower than a BMW X3M. Make no mistake, this thing is chonky AF, but they know if they designed it to look like a VW Golf, idiots would think it's a small sporty thing. It's not, it's a tank.
It doesn't matter how great the chassis is, 4861 lbs. is a hell of a lot of momentum around a corner. Thing is going to get completely smoked around a track by a real sports car. It might do OK against performance SUVs like mine but I can tell you from owning something like this and having tracked it, it's just kind of a ridiculous vehicle. There's only so much you can do to a big, heavy car to make it corner OK and brake OK. Regen braking helps it but, the laws of physics are the laws of physics. The angular momentum of a 4861-lb. tank is insane to try to deal with lateral grip in the corners.
That means the grip from 4 275 tires seems like barely enough to keep it on the track at anything approaching the cornering speeds that you'd expect a sports car with 600 HP to be capable of.
Also these aren't real reviews, they are Hyundai paying CZcamsrs to come do a track day with it and drive around in a lap behind a bunch of other reviewers. Notice we weren't even told how many laps you get on a charge.
Until a real driver has it out on a track by themselves and lets us know, I'm not even sure this thing could make it through half a performance driving course without needing a recharge. I want to see a proper review from someone who actually drives real sports cars on tracks.
Cool car
"After a while you forget you're driving an electric vehicle" until you notice the small objects orbiting the car, because it has so much mass 😂
It actually weighs almost exactly the same as a X3 M with a full tank of gas
The Ioniq 5 is not all that heavy all things considered, by looking at them in pictures and videos you would think they’re sized like a compact hot hatch. They’re much larger, a mid-sized crossover and they appear much larger in person vs. their pictures. At 4800lbs, these weigh about the same as a Tesla Model S, and just a bit heavier than a traditional ICE Dodge Charger Scat Pack(which the Ioniq 5N spanks quite badly btw) Not bad at all!!! 😮
I can go out today and buy this cash. Just wish the range was longer.
Can't wait to get mine, trading my garbage 4Xe Rubicon
Sharp car. Woohoo!
I’m highly interested in this vehicle, even more than the upcoming 2025 refreshed Tesla Model Y Performance. However, dealer markups make purchasing one of these a tougher pill to swallow. One dealer in California asked for a $20k USD dealer markup over the $68k USD MSRP price.
So $68k + roughly $10k~ (state sales tax + dealer delivery fee + registration fee) = $78k~ for the vehicle out the door, best case scenario (without markup); and then dealers wanting to tack on another $20k~ in dealer markups for this thing? That’s roughly $98k~ USD worst case scenario. Sure you can tell the sales person hell no, and walk away… and they’ll likely call you 5 minutes later trying to reduce that markup amount. But it goes to show that Tesla’s vehicle purchasing process is so much better cutting out these b.s. middleman tactics / fees.
Hyundai (and other automakers) needs to help regulate these dealer mark ups, as the $68k~ price a lot of these reviewers are stating are NOT what the public will be spending on these N series EVs out the door.
No way should any Hyundai should cost nearly $100k~. To put things into perspective, you can get a Tesla Model S Plaid vehicle for less than that; sure, not as exciting as this vehicle due to its unique driving nature, but that’s just insane.
It is the same car Demuro reviewed 😂
The smaller IONIQ 3N or IONIQ 4N will also be released later.
Not a fan of fake engine sounds but it looks actually fun to drive
looking back from the future, people will laugh how EVs used to emulate ICE in order to make people feel comfortable. Would be like the first automobiles adding a horse tail and making clip clop horse walking sounds.
Wait until someone figures out how to modify Nas+ Supersonic engine sound so that folks can download new engine sound simulations, can you say, Porsche, Lamborghini, Lexus LF-A 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Are car enthusiasts now embracing fake sounds and fake shifting? When did that happen? I remember people use to hate on piped, but real, sounds into the cabin.
With paddle shifting and the sound it seems like a gas car
Notification Squad
lets gooo
I've always thought Honda is better than Hyundai. I don't think I'll think so from now on.
Why is the one N Black why couldn't it be red? Sus
It’s cool-ish. But kind of gimmicky and still not for me thanks…
'Now if we click that button'. So 2020. Tesla is the future. Everything else is at least 5 years behind, software based alone.
66k 👀👎🏾 maybe 52k
With the Federal EV rebates + State EV rebates (States that support it) then you can get it for around that price
Meh , what’s the point of driving an EV car with a fake exhaust sound ? People are missing the point
@@user-tf8vw2uz7f I know how fun driving an EV car since I’m driving Tesla 😀
its not only fake sound, it also emulate a gear shift and red line limiter like a regular ICE car does.
One one hand the Ioniq 5N is like dating a girl with fake boobs, fake nails, fake eyelash extensions, botox inject lips, forehead, cheeks, so on and so forth. On the other hand, you have the Tesla Model 3 Performance which is like dating a Victoria Secret model, nothing but pure natural beauty. To each their own, some like fake stuff and some like the real deal!
Lol, just the opposite. M3 looks like a duck. N5 is your modernized classic Italian Lancia Delta.
what? that is a poor comparison
Shake Rattle and Roll Aw so natural.
To each his own bro! we all have different ideas regarding what makes a car cool to us.
