  • Please take note be careful that you don’t drop the 10 mm bolt into the crankshaft sensor hole.Use a magnet to pick the bolt and when replacing put the bolt onto the socket tight using a piece of paper and then put the bolt onto the sensor before dropping the sensor in place .Then just turn the sensor a little bit to locate the hole.Take care and Blessings!

I got a P0275 "Transmission Control Module (TCM) does not receive the engine speed signal from Engine Control Module (ECM)" DTC on my 2014 3.7 Q50. Main assumed cause of this DTC is faultiness of crankshaft position sensor itself. Other cause could be poor electrical circuit or damage to electrical harness connector. The Q50 community needs more simple little videos just like this!

Thank you for visual guide, sir. I looked everywhere for where and how to get to the crank sensor on these 3.7L engines. This video helped me replace the sensor on my 2010 G37x.

@@smackmillie7866 I apologize if I'm forgetting... I think I used a quarter inch socket and ratchet and loosened the bolt from down below. I remember my arm wouldn't clear the front drive shaft/exhaust if I reached towards the front of the car -- but if I reached inwards towards the center from the outside that got me a little more clearance. G37 chassis shouldn't be too much different from the Q50, unless they changed and added more braces down below.

Thanks for this! What made you look for the sensor? Did the CEL come on? What codes were you getting?
