Hi guru.
Complete nucleotide sequencing of all the genes present in human is called HGP. It is a long time project wherein scientists sequence all DNA/genes of different human populations to understand and have a detailed catalog of human DNA variations. This will help to understand the evolutionary relationship of human with other species, diseases and its causes, treatment at DNA level etc.
Haemophilus influenzae was the first bacteria sequenced fully. so far few plants, fungi and bacteria were sequenced.

Bacteria is a prokaryotic organism which doesn't possess any membrane, then how come there is cell membrane in bacteria
Bacteria have cell membrane. Cell wall and capsules are over the cell membrane. But since they are prokaryotic they do not possess membrane bound organelles like nucleus, mitochondria or golgi apparatus. Both are different
