Whenever you get a motorcycle, try to fix everything that need service or replacement, I spent 15,000 rupees after I got my hero impulse and now the bike is perfect. I had to get a new piston/valves, new fork oil seals, cone set, new clutch bell rubbers, clutch plates etc. I had to replace a Lot of stuff but in the end its all worth it!

I bought a Hero Impulse for a tour of India and Nepal and did over 8,000km in the two countries with a passenger and it was a great bike for the job, if you get the chance buy one, they are a great bike.

Regular mechanics in Hyderabad are of the opinion that the spares are not available and rare. They probably do not service or repair the Impulse.
You have provided excellent information about the spares. Jazakallah khair bhai.
Will you please suggest a reliable and trustworthy mechanic who is experienced in servicing the Impulse and share his contact/address in Hyderabad? Preferably where you get your impulse serviced.

Dinesh bhai, tighten the coneset, if its still not fixed then you will have to change the coneset. Also check oil in fork pipes. If one pipe has lesser oil, it will still make noise like this

Is impulse comfortable for long touring ride with pillion ,
how's the rear seat comfort for pillion ?
Not so comfortable with pillion. Even the xpulse is not comfortable for pillion
These bikes are better for long rides with just the rider and some luggage. If you have a pillion the rear suspension is going to bottom out easily specially on high speeds. For 200-300kms u can go with pillion but anything more we not be comfortable but u can still do it.
Any modern bike is not comfortable with pillion. U need to go beyond 8 lakhs to get a comfortable bike with pillion
See my comment about them, they are fine with a passenger as long as you are both fairly small people, I am currently touring the UK on a Honda XR125 which is the same bike also with a passenger.

Thanks for the information. I am in Kolkata and have my Impulse which I'm riding since 2012. Now it's impossible to find spares for it and may have to scrap the bike if I can't find spares. I called Dealwel Automobiles, Nampally. They said they can't send spare parts to Kolkata. Any suggestions?

What about engine over 10000 km any need to bore any work needed for the engine
My bike has run 60kms in total. I bought it on 45k. I just got a new piston/valves and that's about it.
@@motosoul new piston @60k sounds less for a 4 stroke. Whats the normal running life of these engines? I was thinking it would at least do 1 lak kms. Before it needs a new piston.
I got thr piston changed at 45k when i bought the bike. I got it 2nd hand. Previous owner did not take proper care of the bike. It would last 1lakh kms but it also depends on the riding style, Maintenance etc. Ppl normally do not change oil at proper intervals.

Brother- I need to know about the carburettor of hero Impulse. I stayed in Kolkata. Hero spare parts main dealer or shop is hero Bansal . So I asked for hero Impulse carburettor and they replied its price need about 6000/- and also time taking process to bring . So my question is can I apply value for money carburettor expect hero Impulse original carburettor? And which carburettor fits on hero Impulse.
I understand. You can also try ns200 carburetor bhai. Some people have installed it. To get better suggestions i would suggest you to join hero impulse groups on facebook and ask your questions there. There are many people to help you there with experience.

Ofcourse you can. Ktm mirrors look the best actually, they also have the highest area of cover which helps in better visibility.

Need your expertise on installing Centre stand for this, please advise
Its not possible for us to install a center stand on impulse. Even if you do you will have to weld new fittings to the frame which i wouldn't recommend because it will not be as strong as it would have come from the factory. When designing xpulse they made a center stand for xpulse 200t which actually is a direct fit for xpulse. So if we had the option it would be better. Making a center stand for impulse is risky. Use a paddock stand at home and for rides use explore moto jack. You can use motojack for lubing chain etc.

How's the impulse modified bike? It's worth buying?
It is a good option but it also depends on the price you're getting it. because we now have xpulse as well. so the impulse shouldn't be too expensive
