- A jigsaw is a saw which uses a reciprocating blade to cut irregular curves, such as stenciled designs, in wood, metal, or other materials. Today they are electrically powered and known as scroll saws, and have been largely displaced by portable power jigsaws. In this video i show you how to make jigsaw guide track, which is very useful for woodworking. This crosscut jig is useful to straight cut. I hope you like this video.

I have been cutting stuff with my jigsaw for years, and over the past 1 1/2 years, have made a ton of cuts for a replica AV-8B Harrier cockpit I am making. I just stumbled on this video today and literally just made this tool after watching it. Why didn't I discover this 2 years ago! Anyway, thanks for the video. This is awesome!
Hey. I saw this video today and I popped out to my shop and made one. THANKS! Your gift content keeps on giving.
I did make mine 48" long. I should have stopped at maybe 38 inches long. That way It can be flipped around and would fit better in my service truck better.
Thank you for not using the bench saw. Most of the DIY guides almost always uses a bench saw. The very reason I need a jig saw guide is because I don't have a bench saw!
made a quick rough one just for starters...works! thanks for that !
It turns out well, a useful thing in the workshop!
I like your “Drill-Sander!”...gonna try and make me one of those!
A good tool for jigsaw. Thank you for sharing
This is too cool man. Nicely done. 😁
Those hairy hands shows that you are a true craftsman.

Cool Idea!!! Nice Job!!! Thank You Sir!!! 👍😎
Nice work
Perfect job bro ,weldone
Nice tutorial 👍
I definitely like the miter backstop for workpieces as well as the built-in 45 degree guide, but I would want to add some dust ports to prevent the saw from riding up. Also, some 30 and 60 degree guides could be used to reduce overall weight. A composite of thinner ply and lexan would help support the work at the observation ports. Perhaps another reasonable iteration would be to mount the backstop on knob bolts so it could be expanded for the height of the workpiece.
Hello very cool perfect 👍👍👍from Germany 🇩🇪 👋👋👋 Kai
T-Tracks can be another option for guide rails.
Great 👍🏻
Very good, i will make one for me, thank's
This is neat
I prefer your idea! Compared to other youtubers' jigsaw guide, yours is simple, and most important, it can be used to cut long boards which won'T fit others' guide.
What for?

Well done
Good...
Super
Nice
Nice 🥰🥰
Great craftsmanship!
That’s a whole Lotta work to cut a line with a jigsaw but it looks great.
I guess if you use a jigsaw a lot would be practical.
I think you would get a much straighter cut with a circular saw and a straight edge.
Jigsaw blades has some waiver to it when you cut.
Very nice jig though!
like I said if I needed a jig made I would hire you to do it 👍
This is perfect if you're on a tight budget. With a drill and jig saw you can actually do alot of work
Muito bom amigo!!!
Salve Brasil !!!💪💪💪
Nice jig, especially if you don't have a miter saw to make these cuts. A jigsaw and a scroll saw are different tools, though.
Hello very good
super
Now i need to build an 8 ft guide.
15 mins of my life I will never get back!
Good good
That's a brilliant project no question on that, but Don't you think it's a bit hard to see the marked line. I am also thinking of making something alike but first need to have solution for this too
I also guess are those big holes are for the that.
goog, good
I am trying to build the cutting station for the jigsaw, but after having the pieces assembled I try to make the cut in the table that will serve as a guide and the blade is twisted to one side and the cut is not straight, making a curve.
(I used 15mm pdf) Any idea why this might be happening?
This man loves screws !!

👍👍👍
ta muito fixe
👌🦅👌
It would be amazing for you to make the same jig, but with clear acrylic so that one can visibly observe the cut line .
Great Idea.
New sub ED TECH PH
I think I'll make a long one of these, but have a movable end stop (with dowels and wing nuts) to allow for shorter pieces where space may be tight. Thanks!

what wood panels are you using?
you cut straight enough already i don't think you even need this...
I did the same mistake, in fact my jig is almost identical to yours but unfortunately jigsaws just don't cut straight since the blade bends. If I would do it again I would use a circular saw.
if you let the jig saw move on its own with very little pressure the blade wont bend
@@manpreetsingh46 quite rightly said
exactly, there comes a time when the saw bends and the cut comes out of alignment. I don't know how to fix it
🙏❤️🙏
I watched a couple of tutorial videos but I couldn't understand the point of the holes in the guide. I mean this 4:33 What's the reason of this? It couldn't be only the straight line, so the blabe can running through? Why the blade has to cross from the holes? Thanks in advance and also very nice job!
to easily see if the blade and the line that the material to be sawed is still in allignment
Why’s your machine so slow?
I have visit your website, do you have CAD plan design of your work?
Gefällt mir gut. Gibt es Pläne dafür?
How do see the lines to be cut when you place the jigsaw runners /track over the pieces to be cut?
Its has hole
csn this track made for circular saw as well .. please make a video on cicular saw track
Just spread the 2 aluminimun bars at the same size of your circolar saw
You use aluminum angle
Some say he's still in the workshop making the guide
This us great but it might be better to just get some table saw under 200.
