What is North America's WORST Airline? Today I flew America's Worst airline and Canada's Worst airline to see which was the worst in North America. Both Spirit Airlines and Flair are considered to be the worst in their country so today I wanted to see what they were both like! I explored the first class lounges before getting on my flights where I reviewed each of the two airlines.

When your flight was being changed many times I feel you because once the flight went from 10:30AM to 6:30AM to 12:00PM all the way too 3:30AM it was literally crazy.
As an person who flies spirit consistently, all of these problems I’ve never had before, and I don’t care if the staff are mean I’m just happy that I’m getting to my destination because spirit has never crashed before.
People expect too much for the prices they pay. Besides I’ve flown AA UA in the past 2 years and I’d rather pay $30 and then $5 on the plane for a soda instead of paying $130 to get a soda on the plane. Other than that it’s all equal unless you need to bring a lot of luggage.

Imagine if somebody proved Spirit wrong by buying every single thing on an American Airlines plane and a Spirit Airlines plane and comparing the cost
I have flown Flair quite often. They are safe, great crews and so far, excellent on-time performance. They are a low cost airline, yes, you have to pay for everything, seat, baggage, even water, but have you seen the fares our Canadian duopoly of Air Canada and Westjet charge? Flair is succeeding in making travel cheaper in Canada and I will support them every opportunity I can. Bravo Flair, keep up the good work.

I mean, flair isn’t the best, but it’s good for cheap short flights. But its not for long haul flights, because I’ve flown from Toronto to Edmonton and it SUCKED.

I flew with Flair from Halifax to Kitchener-Waterloo recently. As long as you realize that you can’t get caviar from a McAirline, then you’re fine.
BTW, it wasn’t so bad. But, then again, I only wanted to go from point A to point B without incident.
Yes I’ll be taking the opposite of this route soon. I flew from Waterloo to Vancouver as well. Flair is actually a pretty nice airline for the cost, not sure what people hate so much about it. I don’t have high expectations for airlines however.
Flair is one of those airlines that fly to smaller towns that most airlines don’t, like in places like kitchener or Deer lake, the only airlines that operate out of there is swoop or flair, and sometimes westjet and maybe sunwing.

I fly at the flight school at Kitchener. I play with Flair 737s on the taxiways all the time. They're pretty solid as far as I can tell.
Your flair plane was a Boeing 737 MAX 8, not a 737-800.
Flair’s 737-800s have a different colour scheme, smaller engines are winglets that only go up, not both up and down.

Flair is great. It’s cheap, yes, and there are plenty of add-one, yes, but if you pack efficiently you can really reduce the cost. The crew is friendly and the flights are smooth.

The fact that you mentioned it was concerning about the tray table, it just reminded me of that movie Final Destination, where if I remember, the premonition started with a broken tray table and then everything followed for the doomed plane. I fly flair very often. I've experienced delays and normal service. The seats are different on almost every plane haha. They normally give a $15 voucher in Canada for food too

I have flown Flair round trip Toronto to Winnipeg. I didn't think it was terrible, but it certainly wouldn't be my first choice - especially given their reliability lately. That said, I thought the planes were cleaner than Air Canada.
On my last trip to Winnipeg I flew Lynx Air, and I would definitely use them again. Also very clean planes, but unlike Flair they really tried their best to be on time. Also, unlike most ULCCs they hand out free cups of water, which I felt was a nice touch considering its a ULCC. I did see your video of Lynx and I agree with most of the comments you made. Agreed that the seats are not quite as good as, say, those on Air Canada's E175, but I actually fell asleep on Lynx Air in both directions, so that says a lot as I don't sleep easily on airplanes.
I remember a spirit flight that I was on. At first, the flight got delayed, so we had to wait sometime for the plane to arrive. Then, when we were coming in for a landing, the plane ran out of fuel, so we had to wait until the aircraft was fueled. After I don't think my parents used spirit again.

I'm a frequent flyer and working for the airline industry for nearly 10 years, I've flown on all of the major airlines in Canada (except WestJet mainline) and I have to say the airlines are all the same fundamentally speaking. I think I have flown Flair Airlines the most in my life, especially over the last 3 years, mainly due to convenience and price. The main reason (which is really the only reason why buy an airline ticket) is to get to your destination on time and safely. With this standard, all airlines attempt to make this standard daily. People have this unrealistic expectation that the airline MUST cater to their needs, but thats not how it works. Actually you do that when you purchase the ticket, the airlines already do their best to inform the public of the add-on features on the flight, and theirs usually a prompt that asks you to confirm that you didn't select any add-ons. There's a reason why Flair sells tickets for as low as $9, because you only paid for the seat and nothing else. These ULCC have had me save thousands over the years and will always have my business.

If you want to get from point A to point B with perhaps a 30 min delay with low fares, Flair Air does the job.

I went on my first flight ever on March 2nd of this year visiting my aunt and uncle and cousins. I was so happy! I thought the pilot would say “so do we have any first time fliers here?” But he didn’t which made me sad :(

i know it’s your first time flying, but o don’t think anyone or any pilot with say that, but for your next flight just bring gum, advil and other stuff in you carry on.
In the flight attendants defense its not their job to greet passengers, its something that grew over time. If anything the only thing they want is to go home and got to sleep, also the flight attendants might have just dealt with many complications which of could of lead to grumpy or dissatisfied crew members. But In consideration they should be happy to say hello or smile for the very least.
I've only been on 2 flights so far, the first was smooth but the second didn't go as well, the second was using spirit, we were supposed to take off at like 2 am but they delayed it for 2 HOURS. Keep in mind we got there like a hour before.
LOL, yeah, my flight on Spirit was delayed from Atlanta to Baltimore by an hour due to winter weather. Not too bad. That still gave me two hours for my next flight. On the return, Spirit was very delayed due to no flight crew. One agent boarded us too early and then we still had to get off the plane and wait, lol! Ultimately we were super-delayed, but made it from Baltimore to Atlanta and they gave us a $50 voucher per passenger. I didn't use the voucher, but at least Spirit tried and delivered us safely.

Spirit hub is FLL so there's a chance that your original plane is late, they need a change of crew, or had to switch planes for a problem on the original and that was the quickest they could get one ready. Also that's their older interior supposedly the new one is thinner giving you more room between rows without increasing seat pitch.

I once got a flight at 3 in the morning, but what this guy experienced was way worse than what I got
Fun fact- Spirit was bought out by JetBlue recently, and technically, RyanAir is worse than Spirit.
I've never encountered any issues traveling with Spirit. In case you don't know the ultra-cost lower carrier means you only pay for your seat, and light and not off at night for safety, crew members have to walk the cabin to check everything. Travel DL and pay hundreds of hundreds for your “free” tiny bottle of water and the bag of chips, very smart.

I basically fly Spirit exclusively (only no when it’s unavailable) and I love flying spirit. I typically fly 2 round trips with layovers a month (8 flights)
The trick to enjoying spirit is these main things…
1. buying a big front seat, which is essentially basic first class seating, but is still less than typical economy on the main airlines.
2. Fly early, or plan on delays. I will say about 1/3 of flights in the afternoon or later are delayed by 15-30 minutes consistently. So like you I also have a lounge credit card, I also don’t even go to my gate until at or 5 minutes after my boarding time. Also a big front seat gives you higher priority boarding.
3. Bring a drink on board. I typically just take a drink or two from the lounges if they have bottles or cans lol
4. Use the spirit app. It’s like every other airline app.
Following these I enjoy flying spirit more than economy on others. It makes long cross country flights so much better.
As someone who only flies in business class I won’t really use this, but good to know still!

Ok...I've flown United from Newark to Dallas and experienced an 8 hour delay because our plane got diverted due to weather. We eventually got to fly on a stand bye plane, which hadn't been cleaned and was a mess. Experienced a 7 hour delay, again on United from San Fancisco to Newark for what they said was weather but my wife said weather in Newark was great all day. So you see, long delays can hit any airline and dirty planes can happen for a number of reasons as well. Also, I didn't receive any meal vouchers from United for my inconvenience in either case.
You wife is not responsible for the safety of the passengers on the plane and does not have the weather information from take off to landing on the designed flight pattern..

Not me 💀we were about to take off in Orlando when they all of a sudden had computer problems and had to restart the plane, then (but with a reason) we were diverted to Philly (original flight was to LaGuardia) for like 2 hours, they kept telling us it was gonna be quick but nah... it was our first time on spirit aswell, also our tray tables were SO much smaller than the ones in this video it was crazy...

Frontier vs Allegiant Airlines. Frontier has axed their call center in the USA and only emergency "fixes" are allowed to call. Allegiant has been known to set-up and be gone in as little as 3 months at small airports. I used to work for Frontier airlines in Denver in 2019-2020.

I fly spirit simply because I'm a bigger guy 6.2 300ibs. I try to be considerate. So when I'm flying domestic, the Big Seats in the front give me and the passengers enough space while still being cheaper than buying two coach seats
