And whats the statute of limitations on this? They can't just go randomly pulling over every vehicle that matches for weeks/months/years afterwards. Seems like a violation of our rights. I'm not condoning running but just because a guy runs & evades in say a white chevy truck that its then okay justification to pull any white chevy truck, vette, etc that they want, is horseshit. These people saying "no plate no case" are only looking at it from a surface level, he could still get away, but it's less likely than people think unless he lives a decent ways away from the city the chase was in
I find it interesting that the cop was haulin ass thru all of those more populated areas, through red lights etc. even well after he had lost sight of the corvette. At that point who was he chasing? He had no idea where the vette was or what direction to look. He was being a public threat by putting more lives at risk chasing a ghost!

Why did he start pulling him over in the first place? Everyone was doing the same speed from what I saw. The license plate cover was secondary after he started to follow him.

He wanted to know why I didn't go after him. I told him that going after a Ferarri in a Dodge Diplomat from a cold start was a waste of time, but I knew I could catch a station wagon. He was not happy. I did radio ahead for the Ferarri and I heard he was caught 20 miles away by a Trooper.

I hate when these guys get away, but this perp did it in as quick of order as I've seen. Since his plate was covered over, it makes one wonder what exactly was he up to? I doubt there's any way of ever tracking him down now

Now if he got away driving a plain grey F-150 and he covered his plate then thats a different story, its the same case if you get away on a lime-green sportbike from the cops even with no plate the next time the cops see you on your lime-green sportbike you're going to jail with a felony.

Don’t be so hasty to assume so… law enforcement has endless resources… unless you’re willing & already prepared to go above & beyond to cover your tracks… there’s a good chance of you really bothered them, They’ll come pick you up.
