- The Sugarcubes in session on John Peel's Radio One show. If you like this, support the Sugarcubes and Björk by buying their official live and studio recordings and visiting smekkleysa.grapewire.net and bjork.com. I don't own the copyright. This is for nonprofit, educational purposes only.
The session was recorded at Berry St. Studios, London, on 9 December 1987 and first broadcast on 4 January 1988. The Sugarcubes line-up at the time of the session was Björk Guðmundsdóttir (vocals); Einar Örn Benediktsson (vocals, trumpet); Bragi Ólafsson (bass); Þór Eldon Jonsson (guitar); Erikki Erlingsson (guitar) and Sigtryggur 'Siggi' Baldursson (drums). Versions of all these tracks later appeared on the Sugarcubes first album Life's Too Good. Mama featured on Björk's Family Tree compilation.
Thanks to Hiding Behind the Shed for the recordings. - Hudba
The most underrated part of the Sugarcubes is the haunting guitars and drums on the first album.
