How does the fuel economy compare to a similar powered 4 stroke? Also are they okay doing extended low speed trolling ?
I have an older g1 etec 150 and the gas milage is amazing I estimate 4.5-5mpg on my stratos 386xf. Do a lot of walleye fishing up north and even though i have a 9.9 kicker I use the 150 for trolling a lot of the time because it works well and I'm lazy lol. Highly recommend these engines, I've had a 130 and the 150 about 600 hours of use between the two and 0 issues.
Im thinking somewhere in the mid 50's mph ?
Any problems with it? I saw a few people having overheating and knock sensor issues with the early models

Les. Next time aim the camera at the Cav plate. This engine is too low. 100 %. I can tell by the prop wash.

@Richard NZ Ive been playing with outboards for over 30 years. Number 1 thing I've learnt is never expect the dealer to have it setup correctly. Every boat needed prop tuning and engine height adjustment. Best investment is in a jacking plate, makes a world of difference.
Trim the motor up, Move the transducer, and get rid of that wash, You're blowing seawater right at the steering mechanism, that will shorten its life.
It is common for outboards to be mounted too low, but there is no prop-wash view in that video indicating that this outboard is low. I agree that a view of the cav plate would be useful.
What boat are you pushing? What was the top speed?

PURE ENGINE PROBLEMS !!! i have an Evinrude etec 50 Hp. Only 44 hours of use. Have Many problems with the start, no works computers say ITS everything ok but dont start
@georgio m mechanic say that TPS doesnt work well it has to be replaced and the computer shows bad reporters. EVINRUDE NEVER AGAIN!!! .
@georgio m yes it has only 44 hours. But i bought it in 2016. Litle More than 3 years from purchase. Garanty expired
