Is Slime Rancher 2 going to be a game on its own or an update to the first? I want to play the game but I am not sure if I should buy the first one or just wait to buy the second.

I’m honestly hoping for a reveal or hints to Thora’s ranch, maybe that can be an equivalent to the special areas we got in the first game that we’d get from Viktor and the other two, which gave us access to saber slimes, quicksilver and glitch slimes. Possibly more new slimes in Thora’s ranch and more information about Hobson, possibly new machines and possibly a new endgame thing like the vaults, possibly having to do with what could’ve been beyond the glass desert that Hobson could’ve discovered if he hadn’t gone to Thora’s ranch, or possibly about the creation of the new island and how maybe it’s connected to creations and history of the original far far range, and what’s below the slime sea, highly unlikely but, you never know. I also want to see more stuff on the Saber slimes, possibly a full version and not just plorts and the slimes when they fuse with another slime. I understand, they went extinct according to the first game, but the rainbow island or whatever includes a lot of new things, and possibly a way to get pure saber slimes? And possibly reveals to like other previous ranchers? Or maybe the first ever person on the far far range. But that probably won’t happen
Hobson was my favorite he felt like a dad helping you on your journey

I never played Slime Rancher 1, but after watching this I'm kinda excited to check out the sequel when it comes to Early Access!
Try playing slime rancher one now. It's a great game till this day.

I hope being launched on PC and Series X means the game won’t have so many fps issues like it did on Slime Rancher for the consoles. I can’t speak for PC since I only played it on the consoles but the fps was atrocious at times hitting lows of 15 to 20 frames per second in some areas and only running smoothly when staring directly up or down. I think this was just because of the way the game was designed with loading areas which must’ve caused huge fps drops when exploring. I can’t wait to see this new game drop in September.
Yep. Slime Rancher on the Xbox One was very bad in this aspect. Luckly un my pc it runs amazingly well.

Can’t believe this game is coming out today and we still know basically nothing about it-
I Was An Xbox Player In 2016 Till I Moved In 2021, Then I Played My Switch In Sep 1st, (Because My Internet Is Absolutely *AWFUL)* So I Hope They Please, Please Release It On The Switch A Few Months (Or Better, Days) After Slime 2’s Debut (Sep. 22; 18 Days After Im Posting This)

2 more days!!!!! I'M SO EXITED! I learned about SR2 while playing the game- while logging out i got a notification saying the game will come out soon
Tbh something I wish with slime rancher 1 was instead of getting a ending after reading a mail or something. The point of the game where it tbh felt like it was going to be some type of ending or lead to something else felt lacking since the thing there was apparently working but they gave no option to use it which is kinda sad when they literally make you go through a desert canyon like area just to get to this place just for a sign to tell you stuff but then nothing else.
Hopefully with slime rancher 2 they actually address this or so as well as it was always a curious to know where that teleport area even led to if it was operational still

Something I'm looking forward to and curious about, is if we'll have either a new rainbow slime (Rainbow Islands, Rainbow Fields, just fits), a type of Star slime for the Starlight Strand.
It would indeed be cool, but it remains to be seen.
Wow 4 years ago I saw a CZcams series by sqashey quack of slime rancher watched it loved it made my parents buy me it and had a blast playing it still replaying it today and now part two is coming out!

Ide for how it ends, the volcano's gonna erupt, but you get every plort(except lucky and gold) and mash em together to make a mega slime to block it
Oh I'm so glad they changed the slime science area, it was never useable for be cause I couldn't find anything or figure it out but I wanted all the cool stuff from it so badly
I'm thinking it wouldn't make sense to have the Twilgers Ranch return as they are older and as hobson mentioned he's more interested in the adventure of love, at least it was implied. I do think we will see mochi. Hopefully Bob too.

I do hope that SR2 has more storytelling from a gameplay standpoint, rather than the majority of it being reading. Still loved the first game very much, but this is one of the only things that I think could make it just that bit better :)

Yeah, when SR1 was in early access, it didn’t have a lot of the most blanket, no indigo quarry no quantum city and no glass desert. That’s like 80% of the game now.

.....am I the only one that fed ALL my slimes till the end pink ones tabby all profitable and non profitable maby that's why I was so rich
4 years is considered long for game development? Nope. Most bigger titles take 8 to 10 years to make with tons of money involved and a lot of people working on it. With smaller games it´s mostly a matter of how many people work for a development studio. In case of Raft it´s 3 people. Three. 4 years in early access is actually a great achievment for 3, again spelled out: three, people. Really can´t blame them for taking too long here. Kids these days simply have no patience. 7 days to die and Project Zomboid started early access in 2013 still aren´t finished and both have more players than RAFT.

@@CRST4L Still not long. CP2077 had it´s first trailer in 2012. And they are a multi million dollar company with a ton of employes. If you don´t have patience, stay away from early access. 7 days to die, Project Zomboid are in ea since 2013. Can´t wait? Don´t buy early access. It´s that simple.

It's likely they will release it to the last gens after the game is *fully* released after all it's only in early access it can't handle the Xbox one hardware yet they will most likely change that don't worry
i hate the lazy devs who put early access games
It's not lazy they are releasing it early so anyone on the new gens which aren't laggy and old can test it to help find bugs and glitches that they can't
