  • What's this? Well, a metal medieval torture device to break your fingers. :) No, of course not! The only thing that will be tortured by this amazing disentanglement puzzle is your brain! Luckily our brains are not able to feel any pain!

  • @kskochko
    @kskochko Před 6 lety +27

    Great puzzle! I really liked that you hung it up, so we could see the solution; this type of puzzle is impossible to understand when you see someone else undo it on a table. Good thinking, easy to understand.

  • @Ravenesque
    @Ravenesque Před 6 lety +15

    I enjoyed the new perspective very much, and I'm not bothered about having your right arm in the way :) You made good choices with the new setup, and you chose the right set up to show off this puzzle well. Good job, Mr puzzle!
    Two things to consider maybe?
    Please consider a different background colour. A grey background against a grey puzzle really made it hard for me (I don't have the best sight in the world) to see what was going on. Your audio descriptions are very clear tho, top notch.
    When you turn your head away from the mike, the audio drops considerably. This can probably be corrected with a slight adjustment to your new set up tho
    Thank you for all the videos and for reading!

    Actually, for as complex as it is, I was able to follow exactly what you were doing pretty well--great job! When i first looked at it, I thought the solution would be to just do everything on the left and right--mirror-imaging each move. I don't think it would have occurred to me for a long time to use the same side to remove both parts.

    It would help greatly if you could please put some masking tape around the 2 identical pieces holding the very bottom link (these comprised the section that you removed first, before finally wiggling the target ring free off the bottom). It was a little hard to visually track and differentiate that first section from the rest of the hanging links.

    I've seen a similar puzzle before. However, it wasn't this complex. It was a "binary count" disassembly puzzle (I think they call it Chinese Rings puzzle). It requires several back/forth travels through rings, just like this one. However, this one seems far more difficult.

  • @randyscorner9434
    @randyscorner9434 Před 6 lety +1

    Nicely done and as clear as it could possibly be with so many levels and parts. I have a set of these tavern puzzles, but thankfully not this one. However, it strikes me that you could simply remove one leg of the bottom assembly. This would not allow the removal of the assembly at the end, but the ring could still be removed by sliding it along one leg of the bottom assembly and over the center section to the leg that was removed. (I read this several times and can't make it any more clear...:).
    Bottom line: if you can release just one leg of the bottom assembly, can't you get the ring off? If correct, it might be simpler to understand.
    Oh, yeah, and I think you should do a video on the "Patience" puzzle from the same company.....:)
