    That scratchbuilt slug sure is nice. My local shortline railroad (the Portland & Western/Willamette and Pacific) had two of those slugs, ex NS painted in G&W orange. Sadly, they scrapped one slug as well as the locomotive it was mated to last year, but the other still remains working on their "Toledo Hauler" train.

    I use the Protothrottle exclusively for operating, regardless of yard, local, or mainline work. I have TSU2 setup down pat, got questions I can help, but once you go PT. you don't go back to dials.

      i use both but make the transition to Proto throttle for all six axles

    He has an awesome layout! Not to big, but yet not to small.------ What are the machined blocks with the Allen-head set screws for? Joining the modules?
