Here's a list of questions answered in this video:
1. Can you boil hot water with ice?
2. Does tonic water that contains Quinine glow under a black light?
3. Does a shot glass prevent water from spilling out of a water bottle?
4. Does a cold tennis ball bounce higher than a warm tennis ball?
5. Does a tangerine with a peel float, while a tangerine without a peel sinks?
6. Does a shriveled up dry pine cone expand when placed in water?
7. Can soap propel a leaf across the surface of water?
8. Does maple syrup make a squishy egg after you soak the egg in vinegar?
9. Are candle flames hollow? - Věda a technologie

The egg one was a giveaway for me, as you can see the embossed brand on it when you take it out and squish it haha
That was just the brand of maple syrup. >_>
WE ALL DO
Lol yeah
my silly ass was thinking "wow is he trying to trick morons or something?" and was confident everything in round 3 was fake
To be fair I've seen the soap boat trick. Essentially the leaf is riding the boundary between the water and soapy water as it expands
The reason candle flames are hollow is that the reaction is caused by a mixture of oxygen and fuel. Near the candle any oxygen that could get there was used already used up. Far from the candle the fuel will have burned already. With the hot air rising it creates this beautiful "flame" shape we all know and love on its boundry
wait you actually believed that fire isn't hollow or at least has a not so bright center?
@@theofficialtastynacho0898 yeah
It's okay to not know something @theofficialtastynacho0898
The dish soap can be used for a cool party bet too. You pour some pepper in a bowl of water and bet people to get all the pepper out of the middle, they can use anything in the house. They go for spoons, paper towels, cups, but no one ever thinks of dish soap. Just coat your finger in a bit of the dish soap and stick it in the middle of the bowl, all the pepper is pushed away from the middle just like the boat is propelled forward.

but I was paying attention!!
Thanks to everyone who joined the premiere! I think I will add a 10 second pause to give people more time to vote and then edit that out later. I meant to leave the chatroom open longer, but if you wanted to provide feedback, you can join my discord: discord.gg/HFdJdcBKVK
im surprised the syrup even SOMEWHAT worked!!
Round 1 - C, because of previous water bottle draining videos
Round 2 - A, because B sounds real and I grew up around a lot of pine trees
Round 3 - B, because I remember seeing A working for paper and I know candle flames are indeed hollow
I really appreciate that you're showing how you made the fakes.
"Can I have a bouncy egg, sir?"
Yes, one rubber egg doused in maple syrup coming right up.
First one I got totally wrong. That light thing didn't look right to me, and I thought something else was added to pull off that effect. Massive props to whoever thought of putting it next to regular water to make it look fake. The second one I thought everything was legit. Not only did I feel ike we were due for a clip where everything was legit, the logic behind the tennis ball sounded kinda legit to me, I had heard of the pinecone thing before, and I felt like I was able to logic the tangerine one to me.
At least I got round 3 right. But I feel like round 3 is the "Throw them a bone" round at this point.
Genuinely one of the best ones so far. Incredible video!
The candle one blew my mind. Great video!
Bagel bites
Yes
It does?
Bagel bites
Pizza Rolls
Yes
this really needs to become a real tv show lol
I love the effort in his content
2/3 I'll take it, the first one got me
I’m still waiting for when where the correct answer was none or multiple. Still very fun video.
That first one had me stumped lol. I knew quinine glowed under UV but didn't know which of the other two was fake.
Atmospheric pressure? Sure, but I would more call it to be the pressure from within the bottle. In ez explanation, you need air to replace the water inside the bottle, for the water to spill out. But the air can't get under the bottle opening to float up, because its blocked by the cup of water. Gravity is pulling down on the water, causing a negative pressure within the bottle which will keep the water sucked in unless the water can be replaced with air. It's like taking an empty cup and pushing it into water upside down. The cup will still be full of air because it can't get around to the outside of the cup to let water replace it.
This is a very good one.
Yes fire star I would love a part two
The chug jug is real LMFAO
The tennis ball thing is not about the stiffer material, but about the reduced air pressure inside.
Yeah a stiffer material would mean less KE converted to deformation energy and hence a more elastic collision that will bounce it higher
as a physics student I have yet to guess wrong on one of these
Bro the last one💀
The "None were fake" and "All were fake" options are actually genius, because they subtly force the viewer to think critically about the videos using their actual understanding of the science
I hate those option, it makes my Brain work
You're the only CZcamsr who's allowed to lie to me lol
A lot of youtubers lie
Im a tennis player and i know that cold tennis balls bounce less high and in the colder seasons they are less bouncy than in the summer
I knew that a was wrong as soon as you said it because we had a tennis game in December, it was freezing cold and when we grabbed the balls, they were so non bouncy we had to cancel the game.
1:21 exactly my thought process lol cant believe i was right
Round 3 just clipped a texture in real life lmao
the first one was tricky cus I assumed the plastic would melt after the water was brought to a boil
wow, not only did that maple syrup solidify that egg, it also gave it serial number!
I knew the dish soap thing because we did that in school a few times :)
"I swapped it out when you weren't paying attention" Don't fucking put this on me. I was paying attention the whole time. You were the one who put in a cut
i love this
This is an interesting approach, forces people to think.
Swapped it when i wasnt paying attention? you mean when you made a cut in the video?
Everybody is talking about egg but how the hell a leaf can move with a soap
I only got the first one wrong, which isn't a bad score for me with these newer videos
the leaf gone brum brum
The water one I figured cause I know for a fact that there needed for it to be a hole for it to work like that
I immediately knew the tennis ball clip was fake. Elasticity is achieved by a balance of flexibility and rigidity. Ping Pong balls are completely rigid, but bounce because they're lightweight and hollow, meaning that they usually take more of the force than the thing they're impacting (because they're working on hard surfaces). Tennis Balls are designed for use outside in the grass and dirt which is much softer and have to go a lot further, so they're made of rubber, a material which is decently rigid and flexible, and then pumped with air, which means that they have to maintain a certain size. This means that the balls can squash when they initially hit the ground, but then the compression force causes a pulling force on the outside, causing the ball to compress in the other direction, thus launching it back off the ground.
Seems like just a month ago you only had 30k subs
For round one you almost got me until the third fact which I absolutely knew was fake
"Bigger than before" :)
Round 1: a) true, but not sure why, b) true (peanut butter also looks cool under black light), c) false, there'd need to be a way for air to get into the bottle for that to happen
Round 2:
a) false, increased stiffness will make it bounce *less* because it deforms less, so can return less energy in the bounce
b) true, I think, probably because there's air in the cells (holes, not plant cells) of the skin
c) I dunno, seems true because all open pinecones I've seen are dry and all closed ones are on the tree still, so maybe?
Round 3: a) true, similar to the soap on a plate full of milk trick, b) false, that's just a fidget toy, c) true
Edit: nice!
Ayy got all of em right
All three right pog
This is episode 2,not 3
round one: fail
round two: correct
round three: correct
I got 2/3 right, not bad
OK Thanks :)
I got 1 of 3 is that still make me smat?
fire
When he used the soap did he use Hand wash or Dish wash?
I only got the stupid obvious last one right 😔
I only failed in the first one.
Same!
Yey I got the all right!
first video where I got 3/3 right
Soap can propel a leaf?!
I guessed C because you can’t see the top of the bottle and it wouldn’t make sense not to show that.
Personally, I find the "d" and "e" options to be annoying as it makes me think less of the solution under the impression that nothing was fake/multiple were fake
Wow I was one for three.
Round 1: I _think_ A might be fake. I honestly have no idea. C does feel right, though. (I had to fucking say it, didn't I? The only one I was certain was real was the fake one. This is why I got a C in thermodynamics and fluid mechanics).
Round 2: From what I recall, the polymers in the tennis ball should in fact stiffen when chilled. This will prevent the ball from deforming, which would absorb some of the energy, and thus the cold ball will bounce higher. I'm less certain about the pine cone, but I do believe that the openness of a pine cone depends on moisture, so that also sounds right. The tangerine, however, is still mostly water, so should retain its buoyancy. So I'm guessing B is fake. (I'm just... I don't... how does that work?)
Round 3: Both A and B feel too fake to be fake, and I don't know what to believe. C actually sounds reasonable, though. So I'm gonna vote E, both A and B are fake, with utter confidence that I am wrong. (I'll take half credit!)
Score:
0-1-1
C..? (was confused how he did that one. the hole-switch was a nice idea)
B (dunno why I thought A was legit, thinking about it now, that was stupid)
B seemed a bit too fake
Saran wrap and ice
3 for 3 baby!
Only one I got wrong was the first because I had no clue you could boil water in a microwave
Wait really? /gen
Water is THE thing microwaves are designed to heat (we make them to produce a particular size of microwave which water absorbs really well, they could technically be made to heat any chemical). That's why they fail to heat ceramic plates and other things with a low water content.
i guessed 2/3 correct :)
1 for sure. c i know is real, b I don't know enough, but for a while it is possible to superboil water that's not how it works
No matter what you say, I am not putting my eggs in mapple syrup over night!
That thing is expensive! And of eggs are expensive, imagine maple syrup!!!!!
I want a soap powered jet ski
three for three letsgo
2/3. I'll take that W
Round 1: D
Round 2: B
Round 3: B
Conclusion: I'm not very clever :)
1:49 “and that means this video is fake”, why even include options D/E if you are inferring there’s always one fake?
Doubt
C (I saw the short), A, B (Also saw the short).
"Decide which video is real or fake"
:proceeds to cut the video so we cant analyze the video.
So instead of analyzing evidence and deciding if its fake or real with logic we are just guessing with a bit of logic
How does soap push against water it should dissolve
I got it right😆
[C][A][B]
3/3
2/3
only came here to figure out how you faked c
TIL that Quinine is pronounced differently in US English
I was here
Same
crazy
Chicken sandwich
Tater tot enjoyer
Agreed
spoiler shield 🛡️
im sorry but how did he peel that poor orange
round 1: B was fake
C?
B2
the level 1 it's C
it's level 2 it's all not fake
it's level 3 it's the A
hi
it's level 3 it's C
