Hey! Bettas not on website yet. Been busy with Easter and University but maybe this week!
Hey bro one question how do you continue breeding bettas to where you don’t cause brothers and sisters to breed together? Or does it not matter ?
Can I have Justin's channel name please? :)
@Zigs Aquatics thanks!
Im Dreamin here ,, but the really white one with blue around the edges .. love love love to have it 😉
I’ll save it for website
So many beautiful colours!! My favourite thing to do in your fish room is sorting the bettas😄
Thanks bro!
Just a tip- the females give the spawn 80% of the genetics so a "colorless" male would be an opportunity to use a colorful female and create what you want or get what u want in other spawns which is.what alot of breeders do (including me🙂🙂)
I find the opposite actually with my breeding
@@butterflychild2797 Yes that's cuz I made a few mistakes with the comment but I forgot to correct it🤣🤣🤣🤣
Has your comment been fixed since? Because I wanna breed them for profit and just want to make sure I can get the best out of it
@@jordanjaygrant5962 it's not true. Female Betta will not dominate 80% of spawn. What colors you get is a gamble. Some may look like the parents but it's really just a gamble with colors you will get with betta
50% genetics is fact, but colors may be more from female
10:11 Woah, bubbles defying the laws of physics :0
I thought I was the only one to notice this 😂
Hahahaha
Very nice video . Well done . One suggestion. When you transfer bettas in small cups always make sure they are given some plant to help keep water clean . Like a little branch of horn wort or salvania or duck weed or similar . This little gesture goes a long way and keeps the fish healthy and relives a lot of stress . And also provides a good environment for fish to stay. Hope you will do so in future videos
The white one with the black fin outlines is easily a keeper. It's so unique. Wouldn't mind having one 😜
Hahahaha they are all so good
@@KeepingFishSimple for sure. I love the plakats
i saw that one in the tank before he even said he was going to pull that one and i said i would keep that one.
Just recently found your channel and now its my go to guide, so informative! Love watching your breeding projects. Keep up the great work my friend.
They're still in molting stage, try using Indian Almond Leaves to improve their color. You can also try to make a Cattapa extract, put as many cattapa leaves as you want, in boiling pan with water. Boiling it can help extract the tanins, (the more leaves the stronger the extract). Th extracted tanins can be used on the bettas. (Off course you must cool it off first).
F4 male and female is important too...
What does one do after you extract the tanins?
At 3:31 I really loved his colors. I would love to see what he turned out to look like as an adult. Just beautiful.
Nice to see the betta fry. 👍🐟
From what I've seen marble bettas with white colouring often end up losing the white colouring when they get older and become a solid colour.
I bought my betta as a blue/white koi, but she marbled into fully dark blue fish.
The same thing happened with my betta before. (he was white/blue with yellow fins) and his body turned fully blue over several months.
I saw a video of someone breeding koi bettas and they said usually the celophane bettas will develop colours slower and will keep the marble patterns for longer and the ones that get a koi pattern first usually become a solid colour
Thanks so much! I’ve read the same thing
Great video as always mate 👍 always proper content from you... no BS ❤️
Thanks so much Graham
I love the two future breeders that you selected!
Thanks Jarod
SOME BETTA TIPS
u should use cattapa leaf or indian almond leaf to make the betta color strong and faster for them to mutation to their true color,,
Thanks 🙏
Dry papaya leaves helps aswell. They strengthen and thicken bones and scales and help fin growth and healing. Aswell as helping them color up faster. "Side effect" is it slightly slows down the growth rate.
@@chrysto4021 Do you just put them in the tank?
@@ZedsTechTipsI extract it from the leaves separately so I don't have to, it's easier to clean an empty container with broken down papaya leaves than a grow out tank with fry and broken down papaya leaves😂😂 I do the same with dry Indian almond, Banana and papaya leaves. I get a decent amount, wash it and just leave it outside in a bucket of clean water to extract. I leave it between 2-4 weeks before removing the leaves. After that I just free hand a decent amount into the fry tanks✅🐧 (p.s: Might get a little funky smell from the concentrated extract water)
This is my dream life. Keep up the good work.
You make a good job! Wonderful Bettas.
Heyyy you deserve millions of subs nice work nice video keep up the good work love from philippines😊
Cheers Jay!!
Wonderful video. I just received the ornamental fish farming book in the mail, it is awesome.
Thanks so much Darryl! Glad the book got there quickly.
I've been waiting to see your blueberry koi betta spawn they are looking good!!!
Thanks Russell!
I love your betta videos bro🔥🙏🏽
Thanks Jordan
Wow this is such a good video, definitely one of your best 🐠🐡😊❤️❤️ you are amazing love you
Thanks Sarah!
@@KeepingFishSimple 100% my pleasure, keep grinding 👏🏻❤️
8:48 Those bubbles are going into the airline! haha So many nice Bettas!! Id struggle picking a favorite.
No I think it’s just the speed, like when fans, helicopters, or fidget spinners look like they change direction
@@enriquechaveste4840 Yeah :) i was being silly. it does look pretty cool :)
Thanks Bobby! Idk what’s up with the bubbles lol
Love all the colours! I actually love the peppered look.
When you say the fins aren’t quite right, are you looking at shape? Length? Just curious about that process.
Hey Abie! More about the shape! Thanks
The fish look so great!
Thank you.
It hard to pick they all look nice 👍
Great work mate. They are looking good.
Thanks so much for becoming a member! Thank you
@@KeepingFishSimple all good mate 👍keep it up
You should use catappa leaves they can help bring out the color more
I might actually
AWESOME BRO 👍👍👍👍
Thank you!
Beautiful bettas ❤️❤️
Thank you!
So what do you do about selling the normal pink ones? I'm sure the colorful ones are easier to sell, but how hard is it to sell off the normal ones? Do you sell them cheaper to stores, sell them in bulk on your website, etc?
8:10
Trippin' on the bubbles.
Reverse bubbles getting sucked in.
The air bubbles are going backwards into the air tube!😊
When you start raising the fry, can the males and females of the same .... litter .... stay together until time to cup and sell? How big of a tank do you put the fry in? 20 gallon once they are big enough?
Do the bio cups leach into the water though? I actually keep my pet store cups and re-purpose them as scoopers, storage, a cup for brine shrimp hatching, etc.
The cello one you can sell but first need to groom them about 1,2 month's with special recipes to get their colours come out.
Sweet vid! I saw some tiger endlers on your site as well as some guppies. Have you ever considered a hybrid of the two? Bet they’d look cool! Just a thought. Love all your content!
Maybe. Don’t want to mix too much but. Thanks 🙏
Those are some very stunning bettas mate! Love them!
Thanks bro! Aliens succeeded in spawning !
@@KeepingFishSimple That's a very great news mate! Very happy for you! I tried my pair again but no luck recently.
@@drixxmarlo5398 That sucks, wishing you luck
@@KeepingFishSimple Thanks man. Its part of the hobby so its okay fail. Will try again and again. Hahaha. Btw if you have time can you check the DMs on IG. Cheers!
Awesome! Do you have any tips on pygmy sunfish/small nano fish breeding?
No sorry!
“Someone’s gunna like this one a little bit betta”
Bahahahahaha
is just 1 jv moss in 1 tub enough for the fry to grow until big enough for brine shrimp??
I’m going to check out some of the bettas because I love supporting and two I just really want another betta, can’t guarantee I will buy but I willl still look :D
Thanks 🙏
Nice!
Thanks Gus
I like the blue one with a White hed
Nice!
Can i ask is there some money to be made doing this? I really am in need of a secondary "job" from home. And betta are my fav fishies and i love spoiling them! How do you start and who could i sell to? Most stores already have their breeders.. Any tips please would be so helpful. I live in WA state. Thank you! Beautiful babies by the way. ❤
The white face puppy stood out from the beginning of the video. Beautiful!
High quality fish BETTA 👍👍👍
Do a detailed video on guppy please
Hey guys. Loving your videos. I have a question: what do you do with unwanted betta fry in every brood?
Hungry flowerhorn is my solution
I love
how many times you feed betta per day,?
fry to 3 months?
2:46 That pale bottom right male colours are GORG
Question where are you located? Would love to get my sister a really pretty beta!
Will they survive without heaters in Australia?
Love you
Thanks Liam!!!
Hoe big was the aquarium you grew the baby’s up in?
I sub when I saw a betta video 😂
What do you do with the duds?
Hiya, where is your store please? Also where did you buy the Bio Cups? I’m in Brisbane.
❤️ love that you got biodegradable cups ❤️
Thank you!
@@KeepingFishSimple what size of cups did you use. Great videos keep up the great work 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I am a betta breeder in the us. I’m trying to make the panda betta. The black and white betta I would love! I’d pay whatever for him!
I feel so bad for the cupped bettas I see at the LPS. Wish I had room to save em all.
They normally end up in good homes within a week
I don't think the cups are doing any harm, his, cups are allot larger than any i've seen in some lfs
I feel the same way when I go into petsmart!! I bought 5 today just because I couldn't leave such beauties to most likely die in those cups in there. I told my friend to get me away from the bettas!!
For how long can they go in a cup ?
Dont they need oxygen , or do the daily water change add enough oxygen to the water ?
They can be in a cup for around 3-4 days. If it is a popular shop, they will be bought very quickly
Im just getting started in the breeding of bettas and to tell you the truth im clueless as far as well .....almost everything. I mean I've got the idea of what is supposed to go in during breeding.. 😉 but after you have babies and all where do you go to sell or can you do it all on-line ?
@keepingFishSimple Hi just wondering if you are able to do pickup purchases on Bettas, I am based on the Sunshine Coast and was under the impression you are based in Brisbane
Unfortunately not at the moment. But maybe in the future
How long they stay in those cups?
Do you have a link to the cups
Would absolutely love one of your fish but I’m in the United States really hope they’re made available here soon
There's tons of Bettas here in the US! If you want to find a local breeder check out FB or a local fish shop. If you want a flashy fish, Petco always has them but you have to be prepared in case as they are prone to getting sick easily
I have a metallic blue
Bettas are nice because it's easy to pick the one you want. I hate the song and dance that goes in to getting, say a guppy, that you want. It's like "*sigh* well let's see which one I can catch. They're all pretty much the same." But I'm looking at the tail and the back, not just the colour and then I'll be the annoying customer going "No, I want that one!" 😅
I want one of the pink crowntails..... whats your website? Do you have any still?
How do you keep them from fighting?
you both look cute
Just wanted to ask how u can keep male betta together, but i saw it in the video. Nice video btw
They where his fry’s and he is now jaring them
if u keepp it from fry yes but it will fight when it time they ready for mating
@@mudahgamingtiktok yes I know thx I breed betas myself thx
I hope I got that bettas
They're looking good! What females will you pick for them?
Not sure yet
Hey where is the shop nsw?I would like to buy some fish there
How old are they at the cupping stage?
How long before cupping them?
Where
can I get the bio cups
If a lot don't sell by around the 3-4 month marker, how do you start separating the males to prevent fighting? How much extra space would you use?
Thats what i asked
These youngsters are going to change SO much! In six months they will not look like they do now. The youngsters with no colour will colour right up! Wait for it ;)
I know! Hopefully the new owners love them
What do you do with the fish you can’t sell?
What size plastic cup?
How much is your 4ft custom tanks cost? Did you buy it from aquarium Rus?
Quite a bit. Yes
Do you raise livebearers?
Cheers to all aquarium friends
Cheers!!
Bro do some feeding process please I need it I can't believe there 4 months
With my experience in the past.. the betta colour will change when you keep it alone and the water will be dark with the ketapang leaf 🤟
People in the comment section complaining on putting them in cups clearly never bred bettas before. Breeders in SE Asia do it also and they stay healthy! I breed bettas before, I didn't use plastic cups, Instead I used Cut-Rum bottles.
When are you going to restock?
Do you have a license to sell the fish just asking thinking of doing the same pls reply
Recently purchased a male betta and have him in a 10 gallon with heater and filtration. He literally just hangs around motionless 95% of the time and only really is active when I feed him. Am I doing something wrong?
No not at all. Most bettas are like that
Tease him with a mirror for 5 min a day
do you sell the Cellophanes and does anyone really bought them?
👍👍👍
When they get sold to the pet shops there just gonna be in a cup again for more weeks or until there sold or die and because there being sold in cups people will think it’s ok to put them in a tiny bowl or tub or something without a filter or heater
Price for each?
show us more bettas
What if you never separate them? Gouramis and cichlids are just as if not more aggressive then bettas and they are kept together.
Im colour blind 😂are you willing to ship livestock to South Africa? Cape town
I'm going to buy one fish
