Super cool! Yeah you can do a separate video about LFS tours. Free marketing for the stores w/c means bigger foot traffic for them that may make them order from you more.

That's great you get 50% of pricing from shops. One offered me 25% another offered me less than 20% for instance $8/fish when they're selling them for $45
Sell on gumtree. I've been offered 1/3 of what the store sells them for, but the bright side is, they will buy dozens at a time. So it's good for a bulk payment. That being said, I've had people buy a considerable amount of fish off me in one sitting, privately.

A great way is to give them a price menu. 30% of their cost is a good price imo.
You could always adjust and make things a little cheaper, for example with congo tetras, where im from they sell for more than most fish, yet I sell them for only about 15% of what petshops ask. This is bcs they are a schooling fish, & have hundreds and hundreds of eggs per spawn, so high quantity x a low price = the same profit as lower quantity x high price.
Play around with prices and work out what you need to make to break even. Then don’t sell for less- after all, your fish get worth more the bigger they get- so you could always sell breeding pairs or groups later on for more!

I've loved aquatics all my life and have always wanted to get in to breeding and selling fish but I've never put in the effort. Half of the time I almost feel like it isn't worth the investment but again it's a hobby I really enjoy.

love your videos! quick question with the tank you showed with the rocks, can we add any kind of rock to the tanks? Is there a process they have to go through to be safe to put in the tank? Or do we just by aquarium specific rocks? hoping to make a planted tank for a betta!
Crikey those prices wholesalers etc offer are good,. I'm in the UK and recently been talking to a large aquarium buisiness about my bristlenose that I have breeding. Long story short, they sell them for Average £10 each, at this time they were £12. They said to me "we will take as many bristlenose as you can bring" at about 50p a fish 😠.

What is the space between your racks? Just planning a fishroom and was wondering what would be comfortable enough to walk/work between racks but don't want to waste any space on the other hand.

Great work! I just started breeding bettas and guppies. The bettas are a very young and talented Ultra Delta/Half Moon dad and a Galaxy Koi mom). The guppies are a mystery because the female was already expecting.
I will undoubtedly keep these fish happy no matter what, but would like to get into selling them. Can you do a video on finding a new client?

Do you have a any updates on your bettas would love to see a video on them . I did it the same way as you did and now I have probably at least 200 red coppers. I tried my pair of black samurai but when I caught the female she released all her eggs.

Get red eye puffers they control snails for all 40 of my tanks and I only have three of them. I tried pea puffers for my snail problems but they couldn’t keep up. The red eyes can easily eat the full grown rams horns.

i think when you have to bag heaps of boxes people forget how long it takes but i allow for 45min -1 hour for a box to catch and bag conservitatily

Quick question. Im currently doing a fishless cycle in a 55g. Adding ammonium chloride to keep the ammonia up between 3-5ppm. Would it be safe to add plants? Or does ammonia hurt plants? Im dying to order some beautiful plants but a little gun shy as I dont want them dying. Id truly appreciate your opinion. Ty

Hey, I recently watched your video on how to breed neon tetras, and I was wandering, did you have to do a drip acclimation to drop them in? Since the ph, gh and kh are extremely different for my tanks. I put two in yesterday night but I haven't seen any breeding today. When do I need to wake up and turn on the lights, do I need to feed them while their in there, and also I love your videos man. Another thing with the neon tetras, I tried making infusoria but it doesn't work, I have made 3 attempts and there are no infusoria, I used the water from my 1 year old aquarium, not sure whats happening, is there anything else I can feed them, I read somewhere that you can feed egg yolk or hikari frozen rotifers for the first few days.

These Hillstream Loaches are quite easy to breed. But you have to be carefull with the young fish. If they don't have the flat body yet, they die from stress very easy.

A third of what they sell them for is fair, if they offer you less, sell privately.
