A really nice looking vintage Japanese motorcycle. Honda could really produce some fun, simple, colorful bikes and still do. 👍🏻
You’re preaching to the choir. 🤣☝️
305 Dream was my second bike (in 1968). First bike was S90 in 1966. Long standing addiction and I haven't sought a cure.
No reason to find the cure. Just keep scratching the itch. Thanks for watching
In fact, this motorbike has more detail in every respect than almost any other of its time. What's more, it's beautiful. Thank you very much for taking me with you.
I stumbled on this Dream while looking for a Sears Allstate 250 “Twingle”. Similar styling and I was smitten. Thanks for watching.
My first bike was a 305 Dream and it was a lot of fun. I rode it everywhere including back trails and roads.
They are built like tanks. Thanks for watching.
Props both to whoever restored that, and Japanese engineering of the day!
This Dream is a “survivor” original paint. Not perfect but darn good looking. I put 6,000 miles on it in one year about 7 years ago. The rebuilt the top end. Such a great motorcycle.

Lucky find for sure.
Cost?
Could have watched for hours! 😊
When I was growing up in the mid sixties, a guy in our neighborhood had one of these. He gave me a ride on it and I thought it was the greatest. He eventually crashed and went over the handlebars, and got knackered by the tank. He recovered with no major injuries, but the bike was toast.
Glad he was ok.
That’s the great thing about riding this bike. Every time you stop someone is going to share a story. So much fun. Thanks for watching.
@@motorcyclerewind Right on brother.
Dream even comparable still holds interstate pretty good better than some of newer todate plus run all day hundred five mph trouble free try matching size today's finance exchange as advertised affordable daily transportation.prety convertible ride
My best friend had one in dark blue, we thrashed, beat and abused it for 3 years and it never failed or had any problems, so guess what he bought to replace it when we got our driver licenses, the newer 450 ------- these bikes made Honda what it is! great video.
Thanks so much for watching. These are such great motorcycles.
MY FIRST BIKE WAS A HONDA DREAM 305CC WHICH I PURCHASED USED IN 1966. IT WAS A BIKE TRUELY AHEAD OF IT'S TIME. SMOOTH WITH ELECTRIC START AND RELIABLE. IT WAS TRUELY THE BEGINNING OF THE END FOR THE BRITISH MOTORYCLE INDUSTRY.
They are such fun bikes to ride. Measles friends everywhere it goes. Thanks for watching.
Living the Dream ❤
Everyday.
Mine got 80 mpg. 70 mpg at 80 mph. I rode it across the USA in 1974. Reliable and rugged. I thought it handled very well.
They’re awesome motorcycles! Thanks for watching.
Most people thought that type of Pressed Steel Frame Honda looked weird...I had a '64 Benly which I rode from my Sixteenth Birthday...I still think those Bikes are Beautiful.
I’m a sucker for chrome side covers. Thanks for watching.
Looks like a lot of fun to ride around on.
So comfortable. Thanks for watching.
Beautiful motorcycle.
It sure is a looker. Thanks for watching.
Absolutely love it! You have it running great!
This is such a great motorcycle.
I love bikes like this, specially the big fenders, chain guard and just the overall practical usefulness of the bike. It's very very very rear to see bikes like this of the new generation. Everything is sporty, so short fenders that you think why they are is even there. I guess that the maxi scooter segment kind a inherit that type of vibe but not all the treats.
I agree. It has so much character. Thanks for watching.
It is a classy beast. 😍
Yes it is.
I'm so lucky to have a 2009 nut & bolt red restored cb72 in my living room as new. Never even started her up. She is beautiful Art Decco❤.can't ride her had a stroke😢
C72 I mean, plus acb72, and c95, cb450 cb750. My goodness I must like these old Hondas😂
That’s awesome. Sounds like a great collection. Send me pics to motorcyclerewind@gmail.com.
Love the sound of those
I know. Such a great motorcycle.
Here in the UK I had one of these from new. Believe me it was streets ahead of the British bikes. Quiet , smooth , relable , leak free , electric start , comfortable . The list goes on . Great bike that began the demise of the British bike industry and it was their own fault for making lousy bikes .
Leak free 🤣😂🤣
Thanks for watching.
Awesome riding ❤
It’s a nice quiet place to ride.
My mom had one. The folks she rode with called it a Baby Harley. Thanks for the vid with a sub/likie
That’s awesome. Thanks for watching, subbing and liking.
I had a 60's 250 dream. Pressed steel frames are very heavy. The seat was hard as a rock
You got that right. Thankfully my butt has extra cushion 🤣😂🤣
Thanks for watching.
I had a red one bought used but mint right down to the whitewalls. It had rectangular turn signals too. Traded it in for a 305 Super Sport but wish I had kept it simply because of its quirky looks. No garage for such niceties. I do recall one negative. Saddle sores from the very slippery flat vinyl seat. The leading link suspension would bottom out on occasion but since BMW also has leading link that was a classy choice. 😎
I wish I could find the turn signals. Thanks for watching.
I have 2 ca77s. Their in a class of their own.
Yes they are. Thanks for watching.
Really cool roads to ride on! What area of LA are you in? Very fortunate!
I am in Slidell, LA. This is in Big Branch Wildlife Refuge. Half mile from my neighborhood.
I had a 66 Dream when I was 16, 3rd gear was messed up, I wanted a scrambler but ended up with this, took the pipes off and used it as a scrambler , beat the crap out of it as a dirt bike, this was in 72, finally blew the motor in 86😂😂😂.
🤣😂🤣you got 14 hard years out of it.
In my opinion , in its day it was very advanced....I think much farther along than even some British bikes of the same year....imho
I agree. Thanks for watching.
I bought a new 1966 honda cb450 it was way more sophisticated.
Thanks for watching.
I’m. It old enough to remember a commercial or advertisement ad to who the bike was marketed for . But in the short time I’ve been watching this video , and you keep using the word refined and taking the time to try to find words such as elegant and tasteful ect. Sounds to me like you are just trying to make it be what you want it to be because it makes you feel that way . And where I’m from we would say that is a yuppie .
Thanks for watching. I am gonna have to research the word “yuppie”. 🤣
Back in that time Honda had a reliable two wheeler. I had two different models of the 305’s.
Ran them into the ground, but they were survivor’s. The scrambler was my favorite.
Had one of those in my 350 scrambler and loved it.
It’s wild how people have their favorite 305. I have a friend that loves scramblers and throws rocks at the other two. 🤣 because I am a sucker for chrome side covers the scrambler is my least favorite.
Had light sky blue was my brother's yours 150 ours350
That’s awesome. Thanks for watching.
