They got off very fast. No time for anything. My partner sailed offshore for 10 years. The boat probably burnt is what he thinks. Many abandon boats but they often show up still afloat. Sorry for the family.
May they RIP so sad. If their sailboat was struck and then sunk you'd think some type of debris from the boat would have been found or seen by other sailors out on the ocean by now. Or some debris could have washed ashore somewhere. But if it was a fire then likely nothing of the boat will be found.

You could give the most persuasive speech in the world, and they still won't change their mind. The bottom line is that you can't force someone to do what they don't want to do.

My first thought is murder...... Sailboat found, upright.... Emergency small float boat set loose with there bodies found later......I sure autopsy results will be inconclusive......Why would I use the word "murder" first word to enter my mind when watching this video..... Have to go with my instinct......bless the family of the deceased..
