  • On this episode we will show you two different methods in expanding or enlarging the center bore of your wheels. We will show you how to make the center hold of the rims bigger so you can clear a larger hub. This technique is common for OEM wheel swaps and for older euro cars that may share a lug pattern with something but not share the same hub bore.

    Even tho this is old, you was supposed to drill from the inside, you only needed a 1/3 inch cut

    I just spent 400 on some wheels that were supposed to fit. I needed a 4.25 center bore and these are 3 something. I can’t even find a shop to do it

    man I hope this is just to put some rollers on it to avoid the city BS... Hole saw just seems hella sketch.

      SUPER sketch. i would not do that on wheels i was going to drive on the highway. but an offroad rig or something like this, it will be fine. these are rollers to appease the governments requests so i wasnt too concerned with getting it perfect otherwise i would have just taken it to a machine shop.

      @@definitelynotmechanics I figured it was to get the city to leave you alone. Wagon does look mean on them though.

    • @definitelynotmechanics
      @definitelynotmechanics  Před 2 lety +1

      thats dallas county for you. most big cities have laws like that to keep people like me from having 10 non running vehicles in their driveway/yard.

      @@definitelynotmechanics Honestly I'm surprised to hear that from the USA, the land of the free. I'm from Europe, I have around 10 cars in my yard with some of them missing a lot of parts and most of them are non-running.

      @@definitelynotmechanics btw if you didn't find out till now, the center bore of older Audis is 57.1 mm and Mercedes is 66.6 mm, starting with the B8 audi a4 they also switched to 66.6 mm. I also own a W123 and here is a tip for you, there's a nice looking alloy wheel from the Audi B9 in 16 inches that look pretty good on the w123 but are awful on the audi so people want to get rid of it, the part number is 8W0601025, they can be found cheap.
