This works alright until you have somebody who preplans where they fall and realize half the bottom is gone or you have a dude who utilizes every tile and is on third floor by the time your almost dead
Tritent someone tried this on me earlier I just waited at the top for him to run out of space because I still had plenty and even if I fell I knew where I was going to land
The only flaw that I found while trying this strategy is that the players can sometimes make the upper floors last a while so sometimes I ran out of tiles on the bottom floor before others fell down.However in my 6 attempts I got about 4 wins so it is a reliable strategy.

If you drop all the way down one of the noobs could still get lucky and wind up with a lot of tiles to themselves. I honestly think this drop to the bottom strat is terrible. You immediately put your back against the wall and have to hope nobody up high plays well.
Don't do it, it's a really bad technique that relies on a lot of luck, loads could go wrong and if it does your out. Way better off just slow jumping and learning whens best to cut people off.
People who complain these trick ruins the game...it doesnt. It just shows you another way to approach the game. When everyone is doing this trick, the one who doesnt and jumps through the first few levels will win because there isn't enough space for 5-6 players to stand on at the lowest floor.
I agree with you on that. The trick itself is fine, and like you said the when everyone does it the on that stays on top wins. The problem is that people start looking up stupid strats to use against kids and people who are there to enjoy the game. Eventually the game becomes a seething cesspool of toxic tryhards just like fortnite.

Staying high is better than this strat. There was one other person alive besides me doing this strat. He was using this strat, while i stayed high. I used the opportunity to go down to his row, surprise him, and cut him off
I don't have this game, but it depends on how many hexagons are on higher levels, if its the same amount on every level he can easily lose this way, but if there is a significant increase in the amount of hexagons the lower you go its worth considering when no one else is doing the same thing, with just 2 players down there its probably already a lose. As far as i see it, the amount of hexagons double until the last floor. Of course the safest strategy is staying as high as you can, but its mostly just luck if everyone knows what they are doing.
The only big problem with it is it relies on everyone else not doing it too, otherwise you're just putting yourself in a very limited spot earlier than everyone else

This strategy can work, but it's not 100%. All depends on the players and how many are in the game at the time. With so few, this strategy is great. With so many, there would be more at the bottom taking up tiles. The game has evolved a little more now that people have had more time to play. Surviving Hex-A-Gone requires focus and attention to your surroundings, especially where you would like to drop next.
Yeah 90% of Hex-A-Gon matches now are won by some dude who's still up on the third level just nailing it with half the floor still to play with. But that's kind of the nature of this game, the "meta" moves pretty quick as people get wise to it, because the entirety of the mechanics are very simple.

I dont even have to play the game to say this wouldn't work, I believe there are 8 layers in total and going to the bottom would leave you with near nowhere to go. The other players (assuming they would try and stay as high as possible) would have more space to go with the 7 layers and whatevers left of the bottom after you're done on it, even with a high player count they would do better. Also if someone else does this strategy then the bottom will have even less space and result in you getting out faster. Instead of this I have 2 options, A. Just try and stay as high as possible and wait for the others to mess up or run out of space, or B. You go down to perhaps the second or third layer and do the strategy in this video, this will likely end up resulting in you being able to stay above them once they run out of space on the top floor and fall down, aswell as make paths to take without worrying about someone going over it.
imagine three players having the same idea of falling all the way down to ruin the platform, you would all be first to lose and I guess after people will try this it will happen :D anyway, satisfying video
@@juleskounde2972 I came up with this idea myself the second time I got into this mode and tried it. However, the opponents came down way too quickly and landed on the side and besides that, till the entire lower layer was basically gone, there was still a guy on a platform higher. Besides, you can actually look down on the lower platform and if you see the center is gone, just try to land on the side. So even if you tried to stay at the top and fell to the last platform over time, you'd still be left in the same spot as falling down directly to the last, but if you actually manage to obtain highground for a longer amount of time, you basically get a free advantage so always try to profit off of the highest possible platform.

Great strategy... assuming everyone else taking part in the final is useless. Otherwise you have one floor of real estate and the rest have multiple floors. You make one error, you are done, the rest? multiple floors of room. Any decent player will be still alive many floors above you when you run out of space.
I’m pretty sure the people who said “this is a cheat strat” and “it takes away the fun” has probably either: 1: never made it past the 1st round 2: never won at hex a gone 3: idk they probably don’t have the game and just assumed

This strategy is pretty risky. If a player up high manages to sperate themselves from the heard and gets a lot of tiles to themselves, you'll get stuck on the bottom and run out before they do. This is more of a gimmick than a competitive strat. You're dependant on the other players doing exactly what you need them to do.
Plus when other players are above you it's much easier for them to see you then for you to see them so it's much easier for them to set up a situation where they can land near you and cut you off
There is 2 ways to counter that If everyone is doing it then you just stay on top and they will kill themselves Or you can stay on the floor ontop of the last one and you can do the strat If people do that too then u r ded

This is more of a gimmick than a competitive strat. You're dependant on the other players doing exactly what you need them to do.

If everyone is doing it then you just stay on top and they will kill themselves
Or you can stay on the floor ontop of the last one and you can do the strat

This doesn’t work, there’s always that one kid that does this strat and ends up dying, everyone is jumping from one tile to another and playing smart so I don’t think this trick works anymore
If you have a strategy keep it to yourself if you want to win

Who cares it’s a fucking game, and it’s totally worth it for the views. My strat is to jump every 1 or 2 second but when around people I run and make them fall down.
I thought about this since day 1 but never achieved it there was always that one dude who fell directly on top of me
