Ever since Ink Island was formed it's been a blot on the landscape 😲🍻
🤣🤣
Very good
Love it 😂
You should write to your MP :)
You clever rascal...🤣✌️
"he's poking around in Simon's hole and can't get enough of it", quote of the day from Steve...🤣🤣
😂
Steve is a star ⭐!
🥴
Thanks for picking up that thread in their conversation. Cracked me up 😁😁😆😆
👌🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ink Island, here's what happened. There was a writer's conference in 1817, just after the Year Without a Summer. All the best writers were there. There was Jane Austin, Lord Byron, the Bronte sisters, George Elliot and many more. They were all plugging along, working on their novels and poetry and having a great time. Then Mary Shelly showed up and they all gave up. They threw their quill pens, manuscripts, clay pipes, wine bottles and inkwells in the river and went home. To this day, we still don't know what they were working on.
My ancestors left England in 1622 for America. I have always been fascinated by English history and your mudlarking. Thank you.
"save the worm" got a warm smile from me, i always feel like you can trust a person who doesn't want to hurt anything no matter how small it is. I have never actually seen a ragworm before, only the marks on sand where they hang out, very interesting! Aside from that, very interesting vid, i am glad you didn't pass up the chance to dig at the Victorian fly tip, nice find.
Rag Worms bite. Great bait but they fight back.
I remember my brother telling me when I was a kid to be careful with the rag worms because they bite?
It was like Carry On Up ink Island with you two and Boysie and all those innuendos....very subtle...great finds.
Haha cheers Jen
“Hover-able Histories…”🎵🎶👍😂
Haha very good!
LOL at least on Ink Island you find stufff... Thanks for the laughs and the fabulous finds!
I loved the banter between you all. Knowledgeable comedians 😂
Cheers Maria👍🏻🐾🧡😂
Yeah, love HHH! Happy times out on the river. Surprised there was no Roman to be found though! Wow, Steve’s beetle is coming on!. Great video guys.😂😂😂
Cheers Lynne! 👍🏻🐾😂
Hahahaha...I'm not taking requests! You guys crack me up! What a fun day. Glad you brought us along!
Our pleasure 👍🏻🐾🧡
You know you’re gonna have a good day when you’ve got a new episode of HH to watch! Gorgeous finds!!!!
Super video. I use old mattress springs to keep the torpedo bottles in . stay safe...Vic..
Nice idea!
Damn good idea about the springs.
@@screwthecabal6453 Thanks. I found some springs on a bottle dump one time so got the idea ..stay safe..Vic..
Love the banter when you all get together. Love listening to Steve on Steve cam very funny
When we were young we were chuffed to find empty Clarks lemonade bottles because you could return them to a shop and get 5p for them. At that time you could buy a lot of Blackjack or Fruit Salad chews for that ! Loved that serpent pipe and the ' matador ' lid.
They should bring it back!
I just love the variety of activities in your videos, as well as the fun of seeing you and your friends out enjoying a great trip! The estuary is a really interesting place…you just never know what will be revealed.
The rantings of a mad man. I love it!!!
I like Steve 's haircut. Great video as usual.
Great Video,
Some nice bits and pieces found,
Interesting history about the Codd bottle,
I do like the clay pipe with the thistle & rose on it...🙂👍
Cheers Ed!
That’s lucky to find the cork still intact!! Love the torpedo up cycle ⚓️
Cheers Ad! 👍🏻🧡🐾
Great finds, good thing you brought your portable washer
We are enjoying each video you put out. The mateship between you & treasures you find, the trash to art is a joy to watch. Good to see the progress of the beetle 🪲 as well.
Cheers! 👍🏻🐾🧡
The serpent pipe is a very cool find. Love that green glass bottle with the crest, good luck with the gold leaf application, if it adheres to the glass it will look fabulous. Ink Island looks like a fertile place for very interesting finds, I hope the HHH team returns for another go.
Cheers Tom!
Wonderful finds on INK Island, thanks so some lazy barge crew. I love your torpedo bottle stand too!
Cheers Debbie 👍🏻🧡🐾
I gotta get me one of those bubble green blown torpedo bottles one day........ NOT CAST FROM CHINA WHERE THE GREEN GLASS IS SO CLEAN YOU CAN SEE THE STARS THROUGH THEM!!! AT NIGHT!
With s strong stand it would make a lovely bud vase
That was a great video, definitely need a return visit to Ink Island! Good to see the Beetle is moving along :)
Cheers Ollie! 👍🏻🧡🐾
Love it Si.. Awesome so Awesome ! 👍👍👍 Your Buddy Bert
Hi all, I totally enjoyed watching this post....
Lots of exciting gear found...
Yes please part 2 of ink island.xoxo 🦘🇭🇲🇬🇧🦘
Great show thx Si ...look forward to Sunday and your adventures! Be safe...until next time.
Cheers Paula! 👍🏻🐾🧡
@@Sifinds Cheers from my neck of the woods 🌴
Now this video ...luv the torpedo and Hiram codd. Nice cut downs. Can't wait to see royal crest gilded...or not its fantastic!
😂 I'm enjoying the running commentary... & yes, more on 'Ink Island' than 'Oak Island'! Hi from Yukon Canada 👋
A suggestion, for the bottles that are too damaged to cut down the normal way how about cutting them lengthways creating a dish shape that can be used for storing poket ephemera, jewellery or as a desk tidy. As ever I love your videos thank you so much for sharing x
Ps. Thinking of bottles that have writing you would like to highlight there is a product called buff it (other similar products exist) which is a wax that will give a faux guided look.
Nice idea, but the text will be lost
@@Sifinds You find a lot of plain ones you could do this with
Another fun and sunny day adventure on the mudplains. Thanks for bringing us along. :-)
Steve cam has to be the highlight... So wobbly and casual 😂 You guys really do have a good time! Love the cut downs and those pipes especially!
Cheers Richard 😂
Beautiful collection of finds from Ink Island this time around. My favourite is the half lid with the man on it. Love your cut down bottle collection - you do such a good job with them! Thanks Si, Steve and Jules.
Cheers! 👍🏻🐾🧡
The round decorative piece looks like a lid of a ginger jar ... Maybe ?
I was cracking up 😂 at the comment “There’s more on Ink Island than there is on Oak Island!” So true
Haha, we often think we find more than they do 😂
You guys ! Always look so happy when your out there doing your thing ! Love it ! Much love and always good luck in the muck !! XXX👍🙈🙉🙊❤️✌️
Dear Si. Thanks for a great HHHH.
Cheers Kat! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Ooer, HHH. Just 3 H s
I'm confused if the fly tipping island is the crime scene, or the bad jokes 🤔😂 I would definitely watch your TV show Ink Island, sounds much better than Love Island 😂 a lot of beaut looking ink found there
😂
I was wondering the same thing?
Great hoverlarking finds! Loved the serpent pipe and the other pipes as well! So many great inkwells. A good result from poking around in Simon's hole! Lol😄😄
Haha! Cheers
Nice little Dig there just below the surface....at each other.😉
Man oh man! What a great outing, lads! Some spectacular finds. That illegal dump was in your favour. I would have thought you’d have brought that slab of marble home. That would have done nicely in one of your creations, Si. That lovely translucent ink and bottle were just gorgeous! Will they stay those pearly, bright colours? That worm thing looked of another world! YUK! And the weather!!!! October and 30C! We really do have proof of global warming! See you next time guys…..Thanks for sharing. 🦘❤️
Thanks Yvonne, not all my videos are filmed this week... I save some months ago... sometime I might go out three times in a week, then save them for when I can't go out. : ) Glad you enjoyed it though : )
Good morning Simon, just bought the London 1808 amber seltzer beaker can’t wait to get it !!!! Thanks for another great adventure today from Stockbridge Michigan USA.... ❤️🍺🍻🍀👍
Yay! Thank you so much! The amber glass bottles are that little bit specialer 😉
Nice pipes and with long stems. The serpent/fish one was great. Lots of great finds today, the lid with the Celtic design and the half lid with the matador. That green bottle with the crest is beautiful.
Thanks Coni 👍🏻🐾🧡
The pottery shards look like they were painting those 'dragon' worms!!!! Yuck. never saw those before.
If you find an old bed spring they are thicker and may balance well, great idea just a thought. Thanks for posting I am a quadriplegic and used to take my kids tip larking in a dump and lake edge us. Totally amazing, be safe!
Just started watching, and had to rewind and rewatched 1:54 because I thought you were carrying a sword 😂 🤺
Haha, my camera wanted to show me up
I wonder if Ink Island was originally part of Pennsylvania Si Finds? You fellers are just having too much fun! Kind Thanks and Luck inna Muck! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
💖😍💖 I'm actually speechless!
A dream haul! So many beautiful things...and the colours of those bottles 🤯
Cheers Beth, we did have a lot of luck in the muck! Ha
Not seen the entire video yet. Just found yall. I am in love with the smoking pipes. I would never find any here in the southern U.S. I have found arrowheads though.
Awesome finds guys...
lovely bottles .I think it's agreat idea how you cut down broken bottles.
Some really nice finds! I loved the serpent & thistle & rose pipes.
Cheers Penny! 👍🏻😂🐾
You guys are awesome! Steve, your hair looks great! Love watching you Si with your mates on mudlarking adventures 🎨🎨🎨
Cheers Liz! 👍🏻🐾🧡
At least the Victorians didn’t have plastics. Beautiful bottles. Wow, that tide does move! Time and tide waits for no man and very few women
Some beautiful clay pipes. Unusual decorations
Great video guys,looks like fun
Absolutely love this programme……..from Ontario Canada
Always enjoy the hovercraft adventures! Thanks, guys! ♥
Cheers Kath! 👍🏻🐾🧡
A little cozy with the three of you on that hovercraft, especially with Jules rooting around in your hole like that 😂
Nice finds on the island 🏝️👍
The picture arrived unscathed and is hanging in my man cave. 😁
Hi Jim! Glad to hear it mate! Glad it’s gone to a good home, I’m humbled that it’s hanging on your wall. Enjoy 😉
Hello from USA, Finally, a nice sunny day. Cool findings. 👍
Thankyou for showing us what can be found in the mud.
I luv the bit at the beginning- 2 mudlovers skipping hand in hand across the beach-- the ink bottle with cork is lovely , its iridescence stunning!! watching you 2 dig on that island makes me green with envy-- considering what treasures are hidden in that glop!! Thanks for taking us along- the schlurp schlurp of your wellies in the mud is so satisfying!!
at 24:00 out comes that beautiful blue chemists bottle-- OOOHHH!! here in Montana a girl has to go to an antique store to buy bottles.. as yet she hasn't come across one that lovely or old! =)
Thanks for watching Kathi - glad you enjoyed it!
great finds and thanks for the chuckles 🤣🤣
Thank you, excellent video.
Cheers LS! 👍🏻🐾🧡
so much mud, looks like it is ash your digging through too - and I love how they are all watching you dig Simon ha ha - look forward to seeing your videos every week and Steve /Jules love the Hovercraft too
I remember seeing a lot of gray beetles like that around in the 60s.
Great fun...
Love that rose pipe, like your 3 colored ink botttle like the glass , 200 years wow
Like your meat pot!! All nice
Cheers Mary! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Three boys in a boat 😃 having fun in the muck. Gorgeous sunny day 🌞 Jeez, that black mud
Cheers Georgie! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Great vid! Really glad to see a quick bug update as well.
Lovely to see you out on the hovercrafts again . Great finds , love the pipes , so detailed. Just the same years ago as it is today people dumping their rubbish where they shouldn't !! except that yesteryears 's finds are worth having aren't they ? !!
Exactly that 👍🏻🐾🧡
Great adventure and banter boys, thank you! Ps. The VW Beetle is looking good.
Cheers Paddy! 👍🏻🧡🐾
Great finds! You 3 guys are such fun to watch together!
Thanks Melody 👍🏻🐾🧡
You 'erberts have brightened up me lazy Sunday afternoon, cheers chaps.
My pleasure 👍🏻🐾🧡
I wonder what was in that GPO bottle? Was the Post Office dosing up their employees with something to help them withstand the winter weather? Was one of the perks of working for the Post Office access to a clinic? There must have been some particular reason for them to have produced bottles saying G.P.O. on them. Maybe they had a clinic for GPO employees in a particular town?
Great vid! Love seeing you guys all together!
Wow, great finds! All those inks are gorgeous and the Serpent pipe is just amazing, never seen anything like it! Fab video Si 😃 x
Thanks Amanda!
Maybe dig with your hands or a synthetic hand trowel to protect your finds once among the more intact ones, down below? I loved your finds! Great site! The iridescence was wonderful!
Aww I was expecting a dead body too👻
🍿😎👍Ink Island! ❤ it. Liked the craft lesson too 👌😁✌❤♻️
Nothing better than H3. Y'all Rock. What a great episode & fascinating to see how fast the tide come in. Epic. Great finds, friends, & fun. Long live H3!
H3! Love it 😊
A pitch folk would come in handy on Ink Island. Too large to carry, I suppose but something similar and small enough to carry would help in the loosing up the mud and muck. Great haul, guys. Fun day! ☺️
Love you guys. 💞 Happy memories of summer & wonderful finds. 💜
Cheers Cindy! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Awesome fines for you young man love the history of the great fines stay blessed and see you again on the next episode 👍🤩🍺🍺
When you first stopped at ink Island, I thought they'll never find anything there!! HUH, you proved me wrong. There was so much good stuff there. It's funny though once you get past the muck how tough it is to shovel that other stuff it was incredible. I love those torpedo bottles that are so cool!!
Great video!!🌊🪨
The Codd Hamilton hybrid might have been worthy of a repair, very rare bottle, it could have had a donor neck off a Codd bottle put on it, they were made for a very short period, company's changing over from Hamilton's to Codd's couldn't do it all in one go without disturbing production, their storage system being designed for Hamilton's.
A turtle 👍🏻
Niiiiiiice finds ♥️
YESSSSSSS! Heehee I thought you had forgotten the blue bottle ...but you turned it and said the contents were holding it together? On the edge of my seat Ta.
Great way to spend a day hoverlarking. The digging was worth it finding what you all did. You'll have to return to Ink Island for more goodies. Beetle is coming along nicely xx
Cheers Gaynor! 👍🏻🧡🐾
Great job, Hovercraft History Hunters / Si-Finds Thames Mudlark / Mud Lover - Enjoy every one of your videos on CZcams - from Dayton, Minnesota, USA

My pleasure 👍🏻🐾🧡
You had the right idea for a base maybe cut down an antique bed spring
Cool Beetle battenburgh!
I went to Oak Island just before than pandenic and got to meet Rick. It was a great experience. I live in New Brunswick Canada so its only about a 5 hour drive for me. I would love to come to ink island as well 🤔 maybe lol 😆
Wow!!! What an exciting hunt! Congratulations on all the awesome finds!
Thank you! 👍🏻🐾🧡
🤣🤣 your fans do not miss much in your adventures Si!
That tide is crazy, fascinating to see and I don’t know why 🤔😃
Cheers Jan! 👍🏻🐾🧡
That was an epic mudventure!! 😂 Lots of great finds, plus the discovery of an new landmass! 😆 Ink Island is now the de facto destination for mudlarks and treasure hunters. 😆😆 Jules did a terrific impression of an Irish washer woman. 🤣 The comedy was low-brow but very enjoyable. 😆 The round-up was very good, as was the impromptu torpedo bottle stand. 😍😍 Finishing off with the update on Steve's Beetle restoration was definitely icing on the cake. I can't wait for the next HHH video. Take care and stay safe, everyone. Bye for now from Canada. 😍
Thanks so much! 👍🏻🐾🧡
